It could only carry a knife because the reactor wouldn't have enough power for a bigger beam weapon without needing to be bigger and heavier. The knife did seem pretty powerful though for what it was. It's sliced through the DX like butter while beam rifles and sabers failed to do that.As far as weight goes, note that it's just half the weight of the original X (7.5 tons vs 4.5 tons), although this is empty weight for both and the X obviously would gain more weight fully loaded.>>21483016>>21481355Also, people bring up the vulcans thing, but don't forget the Machine cannons of the DX were enough to knock down the Frosts' original Gundams and outright tear apart Balients, so concentrated fire tearing apart the Colrel isn't that bad for a light speed focused suit. It's really just weak armor compared to actual Gundams and other Gundam-like prototypes.
Can't get much skinner than something that doesn't look like it can hold its own weight up.
