Am I the only one who can't stand beam weapons or space combat? Lasers are such BS, they blow up everything, cut through everything, and seemingly never run out of ammo when it matters. And why would you want something so big and bipedal in space combat? I'd rather be in a supermanuverable space plane or even a Ball if it could mount more weapons and was a little more modern. I guess there's no honor in war, and I know sound like a guy who misses Napoleonic warfare, but I miss the days of cased projectiles and maybe a superheated or blunt melee weapon.

Right after the episode where the colony crashes into Dublin, Puru's Qubeley and Puru Two's Psyco Mark II use their remote weapons on earth, but as a rule of thumb those space-type remote weapons are supposed to be impractical on Earth due to gravity. They'd have to constantly fly forward and wouldn't be able to do the usual stop in place and shoot and strafe sort of movement they do in space.There are remote weapons that can work on Earth, and they are basically like the Shamblo's reflectors which incorporate RC drone-like propellers, or basically guided missiles like the funnel missiles from Hathaway's Flash.
