Probably a bad time to ask, but I am looking for a specific version of the Ultraman 80 theme and was wondering if anybody knows this version. It was in a MAD back in 2007 back during his guest star appearance on Ultraman Mebius and this version had the singer in a more melancholy or slower tone and no echos. Also finished watching the Shin movie.I really enjoyed it, but agree that its more fanservice heavy and aimed at older fans. I loved zarab, he appears in a trenchcoat and hat and looks small and non threatening at first. But when he captures shin, hes tall and menacing. Mefilas is introudced when Asami becomes giant, a throwback to the original episode. Mefilas fight was great too, cgi was a little bit cheesy at times but the music was very epic. Zoffy appears in the background of mefilas fight and mefilas gives up and leaves. He nearly beat shin too. Zoffy releasing the zetton protocol fucked me up, I was wondering why he was being a complete dick. Zetton is basically a giant orbital cannon. It destroys shin, sending him into the ocean but he survives. The SSSP figure out a method to use the beta box to increase Ultramans size by double. He uses the red ball to smash the cannons energy ball, creating a massive black hole that sucks Ultraman in.The Zoffy and Man scene from the original show is recreated here, You really loved humans didnt you ultraman.Kaminaga is brought back to earth.I liked it but yeah I would say Shin Godzilla felt a bit more solid.0/10 no baltan cameo

Gathered some details info about Shin Ultraman from the nips.-The movie starts with similar style to the OG intro. "Ultra Q" title logo bursts into "Ultraman" title logo. But here, its "Shin Godzilla" into "Shin Ultraman". There are also bunch of Ultra Q kaijus at the start of the movie, and SSSP is pretty proficient at handling them. -Shin Ultraman didn't have color when he showed up for the first time. Its only become red once he fused with the MC. The color pattern is also functioned as the color timer here. It turns green when Ultraman weakened. Ultraman face also changes over time. From A type, to B type, and finally C type. Some people might've missed this details.-The plot about Shin Zoffy & Zetton was inspired by the misinformation about Evil Zoffy who controlled Zetton back then. The confusion was created after a company trying to publish an Ultra Monster Encyclopedia earlier than everyone else. In this book there's an illustration of Zoffy, but with description of Alien Zetton (not normal Zetton). Zoffy Japanese name was also different in here. Instead of "ゾフィー", its "ゾーフィ" and Shin Zoffy name now is actually used the latter spelling. The color black on Shin Zoffy was taken directly from the one-color illustration from that book, and the Gold is from the color of its paper which is pretty yellow-ish.

Interesting thing about this movie that i learned after seeing live nip response from twitter since its debut day was that this movie actually got bunch of nip SJW, especially the feminist one, mad. Apparently Masami Nagasawa character in here was portrayed with high sexual drive & erotic value, which they think its a backward & old idea of "woman" representation lmao. But it seems the majority didn't give a damn about it and the movie still sells extremely well. It looks like to me just the usual case of SJW who always complaining on woman being anything sexy these days. Based Anno dabbing on them. Just put "長澤まさみ" on the search if you want to read about it.
