Gotta admit, Syd Mead's use of lines is an art in itself, it's mesmerizing
>>

That is not thunderbolt I can’t even tell if you’re trolling or just that bad at recognizing design traits.

It’s from a doujin called huge fix where various designers took the turn A an reimagined it in very avant-garde ways.

it's funny how the jap designers can only fundamentally make "cool robot" design instead of using Syd's approach which is actual building architecture technique
>>
>>20103767
I think the OP take on the design gets close to that. You also have some guys who draw in a way that is very reminiscent of concept car artwork.
There's also this weird take on the Gundam that I think is futurism? I'm not sure if that's the exact term but it has that mid 20th century art movement look.

You're not alone, the Type Choco immediately struck me as something inspired or at least informed by Italian Futurism. The frame's design strongly implies an obsession with speed, a central component of the movement.

Nope, that’s just a cleverly disguised Zaku illegally built by Buddhist on Earth. Anaheim who owns the rights to both will be suing.

As someone who liked Turn A I don't like it at all. This means that the only Turn A design variations we get are:
>Turn A without his mustache
>The Prototype Turn A that looks like the Turn X and has things jotting out
>And out of the wall stuff like >>20154017 that isn't good enough to stand on its own nor looks like the Turn A
Give me something like the Alex for the Turn A, I beg of you.
