The genius part is that he technically never killed anyone. They could charge him with kidnapping at best.
>>19124367Prime megatron yes, og series definitely killed other autobots especially in the movie
>>19124377G1 Megatron gave those Autobots a choice and they chose to die
>>19124367Didn't he kill Dreadwing? Or does killing your own men not count?
>>19124414He gave Dreadwing a choice and Dreadwing chose to die. No charges here.
>>19124419Ah, yes, I remember. My mistake.
>>19124367Former lawyer here. I’ve seen many cases like this and I can say that he would definitely walk free since the jury would no doubt side with him since he never murdered anyone. It would be an open and shut case.
>>19124367They make it clear he killed a lot of Cybertronians before the series. He also ripped out Bee’s throat.Prime Megs is actually one of my favorite versions. They managed to really balance his physical prowess and arrogance with his cunning and ability to adapt to new situations. Also Welker’s raspy voice was great.
>>19124394That would probably still be manslaughter, and even then, you can try people under conspiracy if you prove they were planning to do something nefarious. Which Megatron was.
>>19124508anon, blink twice if megatron is forcing you to say this
>>19124367Didn't he almost kill the glasses dork?
>>19124725It was those Cybertronians choice to die.
>>19124367Depends on the megatron.Because boy howdy did the Cybertron games Megatron kill.
>>19125451>the Cybertron gamesThose were fun especially the chapter where you play as him. Best transformation and definitely made you feel unstoppable.
>>19124367>The charges, Prime?
>>19126646But that's a whole other Megatron, though.
>>19126638then he go back to evil? Have not been following the story.
>>19126635>>19126638the fuck is this pussy politics shit? where's lord of darkness, emperor of destruction Megatron?
>>19127377Cybertron Megatron/Galvatron is probably the best Megs design out of the 3. But I still prefer his Armada character for having malevolent goals but a commander who still look after his men in his own strict way.
>>19127343This specific Megatron? He stayed an Autobot to the end.
>>19127377Shockwave was trying to use knock off Infinity Stones to collapse all of reality onto Cybertron so the latter could use the former as fuel for forever. The Autobots and Decepticons teamed up to stop him, and Bumblebee and Megatron got separated together. Bumblebee used Friendship No Jutsu on Megatron right before getting a hole blasted through him by Shockwave, killing him.By that time the rest of the Bots/Cons caught up with Megatron. Megatron took Bumblebee's Autobot badge, put it on, and said "Hey Shockwave, killing Bumblebee was a dick move, I'm joining the Autobots". This caused Shockwave to go LOGIC ERROR long enough for Megatron and Optimus to defeat him.
>>19124725Prime could have been the best show in the franchise in general, if it didn't waste so much potential.
>>19129479>Show could have been good>it hadn't been bad
>>19129479And so in conclusion Transformers Animated Season 3 will always be the best TF show.
>>19129479It doesn’t get enough credit for the great interpretations it had for a lot of characters (like Megatron, Ratchet, Soundwave, and Arcee), great fight scenes, and some really neat concepts. It was definitely flawed, but I still liked it.>>19129483It wasn’t even bad, it just wasn’t as good as it should have been. It had a bad habit of wasting ideas or dragging out a story for too long. Also hot take: Beast Hunters was a great season that deserves way more love, but the movie following it sucked ass.
>>19124367Former Judge here. I can say that, without a doubt, Megatron would be cleared of all charges. Since he never directly murdered any of his victims, the jury would side with him and he'd walk free within a matter of days.
>>19131674>judge>formerif Belvin posted on /m/ it would basically be the greatest shit
>>19131674>>19124508What's the most retarded case you had to deal with?
>>19131674Prime Megatron directly killed at least one of his own Vehicon troops, and shot a hole through Dreadwing.
>>19132139decepticons aren't people so killing them isn't murder
>>19126602>Damn I miss this huge nigga like no idea. He's even bigger than dinobots and they are fuck huge big.
>>19131785The one where Unicron was put on trial and the jury sided with him since all he did was eat planets and since planets aren't technically alive, he got cleared of all charges.
>>19127377>Complains about pussy politics>Posts the one Megatron who turned into Galvatron just by throwing a vegeta-tier temper tantrum
>>19131674Question for you, Former JudgeWhich face is your favorite?
>>19129479I have just started watching after seeing some clips on yt and man, this could really be something if the target demographic was a bit older. Decepticon interactions are great especially the scenes involving starscream.
>>19129483It has a lot of problems like the handling of M.E.C.H. storyline. It was by no means a bad show, but it took a lot of decisions that hurt it.Animated had a much sharper writing and understanding of what it wanted to be.And that sucks, because I genuinely wanted to like Prime more than Animated.
>>19132700The one that says I’m innocent
>>19132807>The one that says I’m innocentLet him go!
>>19132700The best one.
>>19132492Well they're right, the people were just collateral damage. No charge.
>>19129717I've been going through a nostalgic Transformers phase lately and I found fans really hated S3 for going full space opera because for them the appeal of the show was robots disguised as common vehicles. When I was a kid, I loved the setting change because I loved space. I saw it as the natural progression because the Transformers came from outer space. Also the OP was hype as fuckhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aASYfqP9414
>>19136557Isn't most of S3's hate because muh optimus?
>>19124377Destroying robots count as murder? According to Hasbro and the moral guardians from the 80s, it didn't. Samurai Jack killed many sentient robots and he never had troubles with that until he killed the Aku's daughters, real flesh humans. Considering Transformers is an American cartoon, I think killing robots isn't murder so G1 Megatron never killed anyone
>>19133526I like the one that just wanted to probe everything.
>>19132715I think it’s worth a watch, just don’t expect it to be as good as you’re hoping. But it still has a lot of great qualities.
>>19136557This, I liked season 3. I thought the space opera setting was cool, and crazy Galvatron was a blast.
>>19137831I always figured that was the case. Rodimus is a bit of a weenie compared to Optimus, but what works about 3 is that it’s not just about Rodimus. It really expands on the war and lets us see all sorts of Transformers across the universe.
>>19136557I enjoyed Season 3 except for the Daniel focused episodes
>>19124367That's right. Glad someone finally understands.
>>19137858Most, if not all of the expanded mythos from S3 was retconned later, even within a couple of years. For example the Quintessons being the original creators of the Transformers or Unicron being created by a midget scientist. I guess slaves rebelling against their masters was too political for Americans and that kinda make the US audience to root for the Quintessons and about Unicron, puritans just love their God/Satan allegories
>>19124377You can't kill a robot. It was never alive.
>>19132341is that the idw cosmos?
>>19141287Flesh isn't life, gyros servos and fuel, this is where life comes from.
>>19141280No it wasn't. Transformers is a multiverse, not one single fiction. The cartoon universe still has the uprising against the Quints and the monkey scientist in its history.
>>19141287Transformers aren't actually robots, they're mechanical life. They also have literal soul balls. They're alive.>>19141370Yes. He's not always that big, though.
>>19141600Yeah but the tie-in comic quickly retconned the Transformers's origin and even tried to give a convoluted explanation on how the Quintessons fit with the creationist origin. Since the 80s, the Quintesson origin and the monkey scientist have never been touched again
>>19127389I wish armarda got some sort of blu ray treatment so at least some of the animation errors could be fixed.
I heard cyberverse is good, I dropped it on its first season does it get better?
>>19142780They played with it in one of the novels which is basically the Quintesson sequence from the movie except everyone is there instead of just Hot Rod and Kup. The Quintessons aren't the creators of the Transformers, but they're the reason they have cockpits, since in Aligned continuity the Quintessons are human-sized squids and the cockpits were added back when they ruled Cybertron.
>>19144453I thought the first season was pretty bad. Didn't care too much for season 2 either, but it had its moments. It wasn't until season 3 that I actually got invested in the show and it ended up being a surprisingly fun ride. Cyberverse as a whole is so short that I feel like it's worth slogging through the slow start.
>>19142780the cartoon universe didn't have a tie-in comic. marvel =/= cartoon.
>>19142780>Since the 80s, the Quintesson origin and the monkey scientist have never been touched againWell, first of all, they have.Second of all, other Transformers media not using that backstory doesn't magically negate the cartoon using that backstory.
