most of the academics are the millennials who went through politically sensitive conditioning and graduated. their upbringing put emphasis on the importance of diversity and the nefarious evil of perceived unearned benefits re: skin colour. there isn't much more to this, there's a level of explanation I or anyone could provide as to the entire boomer "bootstraps" mindset. this is simply the way those people are. the generation following Alpha is going to be extremely openly racist and misogynist as their increasing volume female teachers become less worthy of respect
