I need to improve my spanish vocabulary and reading skills so I'm looking for something interesting to read in spanish. Essentially, what are some classic publications that are only available in spanish? Mathematics, philosophy, and theology are all fine
Stealing first post for real this time
>>18695404>what are some classic publications that are ... Mathematics, philosophy, and theology start with the greeks

>>18695447I really like books in spanish, but not spanish translations. Spanish is too much of a rich language to be a transtation one. English, being so basic, is better for translate and write technical stuff (maybe the reason why english FL speakers are mostly npcs).

read Don Quixote if you haven't already. The book is quite big, 345.000 words(for reference, the complete lord of the rings trilogy is 480.000 words). Don Quixote is the most important piece of spanish literature, so if you haven't read it you definitely should.
>>18695404I'm Argentine and I am sure the best Spanish writer still untranslated into English is the reactionary philosopher from Colombia Nicolás Gómez DavilaGet his Escolios a un texto implícitoHe wrote very elegant aphorisms. He has been translated into German and Italian.
