Jack Vance

Whar book should I start with?
>>
None. He gets lots of respect because he's this old timey SF writer, but really his stories were juvenile and superficial, as was everything written at the time. His stories are utterly devoid of aim or purpose, just chains of whimsical events stringed together with no overarching logic binding them in any meaningful way.
