Those needles will work. 18g is large for drawing and will put you at risk of coring the vial though. You could try just using 25g for both drawing and injecting, if your vial uses a thin oil that could work

has anyone on HRT stopped minoxidil and kept the gains?

i'm trying to create new hrtgen guide and i'm seeking dihydrotestosterone ranges in women and it seems that serum DHT is not associated with hyperandrogenism and i can't even find cut-off levels which would predict you surely have signs of hyperandrogenism. PCOS women have the same serum DHT levels that non-PCOS women have. it appears that blood testing for DHT is a waste of money, you unfortunately have to rely on symptoms. even androstanediol glucuronide fails, though is a little better. if you're worried about adrenal DHT, it makes more sense to test hydroxyprogesterone, but even then mild enough adrenal hyperplasia could result in levels within the norm, it's more about confirming you have it than excluding.

Looking for advice here, my pcp has had me on 20mg EV injections every 14 days for the past couple months, previously had me at 4mg a day oral. I'm concerned because all the guides for injections I see online advise for just weekly injections. I am going over my last bloods and I noticed that when I went from cypro to lupron, my LH went from 0.1 to over 1. It should be below 1 right?
I got these 2 bloods one month apart. Left is on cypro, right is 1 month later on lupron for 4 weeks. Is this bad?? Could my LH have continued to decrease after this??

search for lgbt clinics in your area, or places that offer "diverse" healthcare. the regime in Australia is pretty standard, youll be on an e patch and cypro, not many docs seem to know what bica is. basically you need to be firm and say "i want to start hrt" not ask for a referal or whatever. if they dont want they will refer you to a place that can.
booking a gp is actually quite easy, you call the clinic and ask for an appointment. ask for a long appointment (because all first time patients need to do a long app). it might even be worth asking reception if they have any doctors that deal with LGBT health. i just straight up said i want to start hrt and they said that dr x is the one to book an appointment with.
believe me, i know the feeling because when it hits you its like fuck time is critical. desu it will probs be late october. new patient means a bit of a longer wait time, and i doubt many docs will prescribe on the first visit (usually second or third, baseline bloods are important and they take a week).

estradiol hemihydrate via an oral roa does convert to e1 (just incase, it's on the wikipedia estradiol article w/studies cited if you'd like to confirm).
even sub has a good amount of conversion to e1, and I'd suspect buccal is similar but I haven't seen data on that one for e2:e1 ratios.
overtime, e1 and related forms of e1 (sulfated/etc) build up in your system creating a "reserve" of estrogens and contributing to more stable levels (kinda balanced via enzymes that convert these forms of estrogen back and forth and which u supply via oral e).

it could be above, the reserve of estrogens, and more stable levels.
next, maybe for only injections your cycles are too long for your current dose (peaks too high and/or valleys too low) to be solely injections.
similarly, my issue with EEn was having too long of injection cycles, and a fluctuation of about 100pg/mL between peak/valley felt best to me (see: injection simulator). around 6-7mg/10-days works for me.
also, depending on the concentration of your vial, and how much EEn you're drawing (liquid wise, especially w/high concentration per mL and drawing tiny mL amt); you may be getting less than you think in terms of mg of EEn, as usually vials are slightly *less* concentrated rather than more concentrated (at least according to data i've seen).

overall, mentally it's probably due to oral e creating that reserve of estrogens, stabilizing levels (less fluctation), and injections offering more e2 leading to higher e2 lvls leading to more immediate appearance of feminization (likely, subtle skin related changes, as those come on quite quick ime when comparing high/low dosing).

Bica takes a month to build up in your body and have it's full effect. It really sounds like you're getting in your head about this. The amount of bica you're taking can significantly block male t levels, and yours are definitely going to be much lower. It sucks but hrt takes awhile to work and the more often you switch your regimen the less time your body will be stable hormonally which can mess with you mood and make you feel crazy. Imo you should just chill on your current regimen for at least three months. I'd really advise that you try to find a way to save for a blood test. The peace of mind that they can give you is worth the money

2nd day hrt and i just couldn't pee. It's like my canal is very very tight. I had to masturbate for my dick to go softer so i could pee. WTF

Is this normal? In the last 30h i used 2 bicalutamide 50mg, 4 pumps of 0.75mg estrogel on the balls and 2 sublingual 1mg pills (the pills were because the gel said the first 3 pumps should be discarded, but i used them). I already know 3 pumps per day on the balls + aa is too much, which i didn't before my last pump. I'll be switching to no more than 3 every 2 days for now.

But the peeing thing really got me worried. Have it happened to you too? Is this normal in the beginning and then it comes back to normal?

there's no evidence that gonadotropins have any effect on breasts. Trans women still got big breasts in the past when ethinylestradiol (super powerful) was used. Just go to r/transbreeasttimelines and you'll see people with all kinds of regimens and dosages get big and small breasts. it's "super powerful" in liver
it has very small impact on gonadotropins relative to the impact on liver, to the point that if you give men a too low dose of ethinylestradiol, testosterone levels will increase massively to compensate for lost antigonadotropic effect due to testosterone being blocked by SHBG (its production is controlled by estrogen receptors in liver)

Day 43 (30mg pio + volufinine/ah-38 on hips/butt/breasts): WHR 0.71, 99cm bust, 71cm waist, 100cm hips, 75kg weight
Day 72 (same): WHR 0.70, 100cm bust, 72cm waist, 103cm hips, 77kg weight
Day 109: Discontinued pio/cream, didn't measure
Day 109+37 (no pio/cream): WHR 0.70, 101cm bust, 72.5cm waist, 102cm hips, 78kg weight

Few notes
- Ah-38+volufiline were both 2% concentration
- Hunger definitely increased on pio
- I was on 7.5mg/10-days EEn injections for the entire time
- I also did a few experimental stuff for breast growth so don't take this as pio increasing growth lol, it was a combo of things, but it definitely didn't stunt my growth too much compared to my usual growth rate

Oh wow cool,

I am actually on 7.5mg pio(2nd week) and also using volufinine. I ended up ordering that french one on amazon and it has a little container, I just put some lotion and like 2-3 drops of the volufinine and rub it on my hips/breasts. Is this pretty much what you do too or are you do? I plan on moving to 15mg pio on monday.
