Pick a variety of things, climbing on the roof, able to operate a mower, operating tools, driving cars, curfews, you name it. The firstborn always gets 10x the flak, and has to wait the longest in terms of years to get to do something. Then, say, when the firstborn is 18 and gets to drive a car for the first time, the parents stop freaking out and say, well ok, let your 16 year old sister drive now too. The younger child always always always got to do things at a relatively younger age, because once the parents let the older child do it, its automatically ok for the younger children. Pure resentment from older children, because it wasn't about some thought-out idea of a certain age being appropriate for a responsible behavior, but instead just laziness on the part of the parents mixed with some bullshit "treat everyone equally" nonsense sprinkled in.
