>>59579127Overall, that drones are insanely useful and need to be available at the squad, if not individual level. Precision guided munitions are more important than ever. That our extremely expensive equipment actually have the capabilities we paid for, so much so that relatively simple guided rocket systems were honestly game changers. Thermal optics and portable guided weapons such as the javelin l are major force multipliers, and need to be retained if not see greater perforation amongst infantry. In regards to Russia, they are hopelessly corrupt. They have some decent troops amongst the professional formations, but conscripts are woefully lacking. They are capable of adaptation, but not after they have first slammed their head up against your brick wall repeatedly, incurring significant losses. Their logistics are extraordinarily weak, and would be the best pressure point to mercilessly kick that would grind the Russian army to a halt quickly. They are also woefully lacking in their ability to protect what logistical network they do have. They have some good equipment, but it’s hard to gauge its effectiveness considering the incompetence and lack of skill on the operators behalf. In the future, they may shift much of their counter battery capability to loitering munitions and kamikaze drones. >>59579508are you sure the Irish guy doesn't just have jaundice from his liver shutting down?
>>59580494No he didn’t. His job was to soft-pedal through the energy deals with the West. Russia tried hard to keep them from that path. Ie, one of the talking points was "energy security" so the Russians basically gave them free energy. Of course it was just a talking point and Zelensky was to do whatever he could to appear friendly — just as long as nothing threatened the main project goal of developing Ukraine’s vast shale reserves. In 2013 they signed huge deals with Shell and Chevron which started Russia down the path of military escalation. This geopolitical-economic drama is too complex for NPCs of course so it gets put into comic book terms like NATO expansion, Nazis and Imperialism.

>Ukraine is a vassal of the USNot really. If anything, until recently it had closer ties to Russia than the west. That beginning to shift is what prompted Russia's aggressive attemtps at subversion, sabotage, and then outright military invasion. Even now, Ukraine isn't partnered with the US in an official capacity. That will likely change in the near future, but for now it's inaccurate to call Ukraine a vassal of America in the same way as, say, the UK, SK or Japan are.

They’re gonna have to really start hyping up the Chinese threat if they want to keep that defense money flowing.
>>59581304>more reliablelmao no, the amount of gear that got abandoned after breaking down made that myth look really dumb
>>59581632This war is a continuation of 2014. In 2013, Ukraine signed huge development deals with Shell (March I think?) and Chevron (November). In response, Putin took a surprise action of invading — escalating what was a political-economic battle into a military one. This move’s main objective was to stop the shale deals with the West, and a secondary objective was to seize Crimea’s EEZ over the Black Sea reserves. Both objectives were successful with Shell freezing the project (later abandoned it?) and Chevron pulling out. Obama’s admin was taken by surprise and responded with sanctions targeted where they felt it would hurt most — the Putin’s circle of oligarchs. It did hurt them a great deal blocking them from their European villas and super yachts, various above-board dealings and so on. However, this wasn’t enough to make them give up on the energy war as that European energy market is what pays for Putin’s government and the oligarch’s wealth to begin with. They had to keep it no matter the cost. With Ukraine’s pipelines in danger, Russia’s next move was to upgrade Nordstream which was their insurance policy against Ukraine messing with the pipelines — but the US fought against this move heavily and late 2021 the US slapped on sanctions over Nordstream 2; (admin this time just admitted the truth behind it: "it would make Europe too dependent on Russian energy"). It was clear to Russia the U.S. project to cut off Russian gas is going ahead and they can’t rely on Nordstream to save them. So, with his government and his circle of oligarchs at risk, Putin felt pressured to attempt a regime-change in Ukraine to install a friendly government who won’t mess with the pipelines or try to work with the US to replace Russian hydrocarbons. There’s a lot more to go over but I’m at character limit already.
>>59581701A partnership is a more accurate description. It seems like a vassal relationship because of how unequal the balance of soft power is but it’s not really. The US arranges for Ukraine’s shale reserves to be developed and Ukraine works with the US to cut off Russian energy to Europe and get rich off exporting their new reserves to Europe instead. Ukraine gets rich and the US completes their main foreign policy goal in Europe, a win-win-win scenario.
>>59581887>The main policy goal of the United States of America in the European theater is to guarantee the security of their oil supplyIs this the level of grotesquerie that I ought to expect from you?
>>59582201You’re confused. The goal is to cut off Russian energy exports to Europe. The main benefits from the US’s perspective is to eliminate Russia’s influence in Europe bought with cheap energy and the destruction of the Putin government which is paid for by the same energy market. Other factors got tacked on as the energy battle has progressed but those are the key goals.Ukraine is a crucial partner in these goals because Ukraine inherited the pipelines feeding that market from the USSR. About 12-13+ years ago huge shale reserves were found in Ukraine and that made Ukraine’s value in the energy war skyrocket — because then the US could cut off Russian energy to Europe while also ensuring cheap energy which had hooked Europe to Russia to begin with. Those pipelines could be essentially "hijacked" by Western-developed Ukrainian-owned shale reserves, and that became the basis of the US-Ukraine partnership. If you ever wondered why the US seemed so involved in such a poor meaningless country, now you know.
>>59582260>The goal is to cut off Russian energy exports to EuropeAnd this made the Russians invade Ukraine and start a genocide against them... how exactly?
>>59579898>drones are the biggest force multiplayer for artillery since the introduction of man-portable radiosI'd say PGMs were bigger than drones.

>>59586471I hate Ukraine with a passion but you're delusional if you think Russia could beat the USA
>>59586471Before the war I was of the mind that the USA could take Russia with some difficulty. After this war (and especially after Prig's failed coup) I am convinced that they could take Moscow in a day.Russia is a fucking joke.
>>59585451so let me get this straight: the chinese are better at capitalism than you, so you want to resort to violence?come on, you can do better anonyou're a proud member of the superior white race after all
>>59579481Ironically, the Ukraine war delayed the process of American collapse and consolidated the West around the US, while sowing division among its strategic competitors. Just as long as American politicians don't do anything monumentally stupid, the American hegemony will be secured for the next few decades.
>>59580494>Zelensky was a compromise candidate, a Russophone Jew who wanted to negotiate with and make a deal with the Russian people whom he called brotherly. The funniest thing about Russian fifth-columnist propaganda is them trying to paint Zelensky as a fanatic war mongerer whilst it was the complete fucking opposite. If Zelensky actually had not been so naive and tried to play friendly with Russia, Ukraine would have been in a much better situation today.
>>59579127oh boy more cringe art
That cheap drones with Starlink are the future of warfare
>>59587508>random billionaires are the future of warfare
>>595791271) Stop making conventional manned tanks and start making millions of small explosive drones, large bomber drones, mini tank drones/infantry drones.2) Invest in manpads by the million3) Invest in million more javelins4) Starlink is the future skynet and must be expanded, controlled, and secured 5) Stock up on artiller shell and ordinance production. They will need it for China soon enough. But I doubt they are ready or will be ready because the pentagon and intelligence agencies are dumbfuck retard idealogues that are more focused on social programs than preparation, procurement, and recruitment.
>>59582476Yes and no, in terms of cost effectiveness if they don’t get the per round cost of PGM’s down a more accurate gun with drone corrected artillery can be a much more cost-effective solution with similar results. But if you’re like the US and can afford to do so PGMs as much as possible.
>>59583965This is a long term byproduct of 70 years of Bolshevist Marxism, and mind you, Post Modern Critical Theory. Take a look at Russia and see Americas future. A nation never survives the death of its foundation myths nor the abandonement of its temples and identity.
>>59587430If russia can survive literally killing all its young men for no reason, I think the U.S. will be fine
>>59582315Russia is a petro state, most of their economy is or was dependent upon energy and fossil fuel product exports. If it wasn’t for the 2014 sanctions placed on Russia, this war could’ve been a lot worse for Ukraine. Since those sanctions significantly handicapped the big rearmament and modernization effort the Russian military was undergoing around the same time. The Russians mindlessly murdering Ukrainians and using human rights as more as a suggestion is just Slavs being Slavs, their disregard for human life is kind of baked into their DNA at this point
You can make up any old shit, post it to Reddit / 4chan, and simpletons will believe it without question as long as it supports what they already think. They’ve known this for decades, but it’s impressive how they’ve convinced midwits that some irrelevant, corrupt post-soviet shithole is fighting for the future of democracy, and that it’s the most important thing to happen in decades.Something awful was right all along. The internet makes you stupid.
>>59588575>The US/NATO realised this 10 years agoDamn the US knew in 2013 that Zelenzky would become President in 2019? thats crazy.

>>59588267But what if, and hear me out: Manned tanks, but with drone swarm escorts! Coordinated attack drones doing constant sweeps ahead of armor like locusts, peppering foxholes and trenches with explosives, or feeding precise coordinates to air and artillery. While tanks steamroll anything on the ground requiring more firepower than a drone can carry.
>>59589685>Meanwhile>Some guy with an anti-tank weapon and some FLIR defeating equipment>chills in cover while the swarm passes over>pops the tank when it gets close>now you have a very expensive wreckage and nothing controlling those drones
>>59589356Do you not understand the concept of an insurgency? Russia cant even get to that point in ukraine.

>>59586471kek, I figured that the US could win a conventional war with Russia before Ukraine but I expected it to last decades. Now I think the US would topple the government in months and the average Russian wouldn't give a fuck so long as Russian was the official language and it was still called Russia.
Covering your infantry in full body suits kevlar wasn’t actually a bad idea. artillery is still the biggest killer.
Why are all posts that are vaguely pro Russia instantly deleted?
>>59579127USA need a lot of new UAVsSwitchblade = shit

>>59579146I mean the US KNOWS that which is WHY it's so invested into air supremacy. You can prevent such a grind from happening if you rule the skies. But such a powerful airforce comes with the corresponding pricetag attached. You also need a huge amount of manpower since the ratio of talented pilots is low you need a large population and then on top of that an even bigger support apparatus.

>>59582260>The goal is to cut off Russian energy exports to Europe.Russia has done this repeatedly as a matter of policy since 2010. There's an argument that gas discovery in Eastern Ukraine contributed to the invasion but Russia is known by everyone to use energy as leverage. This is entry level stuff.
