Thanks bro fascinating stuff, got the stream up
>>

It starts with talking about general military landscape stuff, then later on it's live equipment demonstration.

Pure kino, I hope Japan has good missile defense systems like the Patriot, considering the tension with North Korea and China. You have to respect the stance of peace through strength, and the good services of the Japanese armed forces in Iraq. God bless.

>>58344543
Looks plastic, why does everything japan make end up a mini-me version of the real goods?
>>
Japan wtf.

You are posting on a forum that was made out of appreciation for Japanese culture, and is named after a Japanese image board called 2chan

https://www.army.mil/article/158283/japanese_test_engages_supersonic_target_on_wsmr
Pretty good all things considered with a 100% intercept rate on 10 GQM-163As. (The same missile from the SM-2 intercept video a couple months back)
https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/navy-blasts-supersonic-sea-skimming-target-with-sm-2-missiles-in-impressive-video
There is also a navalized version called A-SAM that will replace ESSMs on Japanese AAW destroyers.
>>
>>58344644
Yes, what I posted is definitely an aspect of Japanese culture that is worthy of appreciation.
>>
>>58344672
People are reasonably anxious about foreign countries testing missiles over their waters and cities. Those missile defense systems go a long way in maintaining peace and peace of mind.

Well maintained and clean equipment has been part of Japanese military culture for a long time now. Why would they put a dusty, rusty, beaten up tank on an arms exhibition floor when they can just swipe one right off the factory line.

It's the Type 12 SSM. More equivalent to a NSM, but it's upgrade will be closer to a JASSM.

Are they showing Jap OCS? Pretty small class.

I wasn't paying too much attention, but I'm pretty sure it was either regional or unit based. It's nothing new with the JGSDF as even their Ranger tabs are region based with a wide variety of specializations such as airborne, mountain warfare, cold weather combat. All of the schools are recognized as official Ranger tab courses which is neato.
