>Italy
Honestly shocked they're actually doing something. They were the real cowards for the longest time while everyone was bitching about France and Germany
>>
>>56906631
Italy is poor as shit in comparison and doesn't have old soviet equipment to give.
>>
Germany, the UK and the US have flopped their dicks out onto the table. Italy and France seem like they have something to hide not sending MBTs to Ukraine. South Korea might have to simple as a marketing sample.
>>
>>56906593
>italy
Oh God please don't give the Ukranians the Ariete. What the fuck did they do to deserve that?
>>
>>56906631
They have been sending stuff they just don't advertise it as much.
>>
>>56906593
sad thing is, no one really cared about the UK. Everyone was just waiting for either Germany or the US to make the move to really set things in motion.
>>
>>56906668
Also Meloni is an anomaly in the Italian populist movement as she is not pro-Russia like the rest.

>UK sending 14 challengers

What exactly did Western leaders mean by this
>>
>>56906688
The UK set things to motion by sending the tanks. It basically raised more awareness about the idea of sending modern MBTs.
>>
>>56906704
>>EU(all combined) sending 88 Leopards
Is this even confirmed yet? In fact has anyone other than Germany and Poland confirmed they're giving Leopards?
>>
>>56906688
Retarded take, if not for the UK pushing open the door the rest wouldn't have followed. They, with the US were the first to dump AT days prior to the Invasion too.
>>
>>56906631
Then you're a retard. Italy sent truckloads of stuff to Ukraine, along with France, Germany and the UK.

The leader of their new government has very close ties with the Polish PiS party. If she doesn't wanna piss them off she has to send stuff

>>
>>56906675
i don't doubt France and Italy would send theirs too, but currently, setting up the logisitcal chain for Leo and M1 is just far more efficient considering the numbers that are around. Same thing for Chally 2, does the low number of units send warrant the logistical burden.
>>
>>56906734
Don't tell them
They're not supposed to know we're not poor, just terrible with money
Anyway, do we have any more info on this? Are we actually sending Arietes, or did he just include Italy without thinking too much about it?
>>

Norway, Finland are confirmed
Spain, Portugal, Netherlands said they're available

The Chally 2 was sent to basically stop everyone from bitching out, no EU country had to power to peer pressure Germany into giving the export licenses, once the bongs pushed those things through it was simple, Olaf sent the Leopards and allowed others to do the same or faced political suicide.
>>

8 from Norway
Not sure for Finland

Spain is quite likely to send their 2A4's, at least a bunch. They always wanted to support Ukraine but it was either Switzerland or Germany stopping their tracks.
>>
>>56906809
I'd put money on it that the UK and Poland (possibly others) planned it out perfectly and that the faggots in Germany never intended to send a single MBT until backed into a corner.
Has Denmark said they are sending any? They were also one of the originals to help in Febuary.
>>
>>56906783
None of the repair or maintnence will be done in Ukraine anyway. Ukraine'll just ship broken tanks back to Poland and get freshly overhauled ones back. There's potentially a benefit to vehicles coming from so many countries in that there's so much training capacity for Ukraine to tap into. E.g. if Italy starts sending tanks then the crews can be trained in Italy which Italy is set up to do, and the tanks can be maintained in Poland (or even Italy itself) by Italian logistics and maintnence crews, all of this otherwise would contribute nothing to this war.

p.s. god help the trainers and crew trying to communicate probably each in broken English, but they'll make so I'm sure

The US and Bongs can logisticaly support any piece of there equipment anywhere anytime, they have large stocks in Germany/Poland and are well orchestrated in putting it into practice.
Germany on the other hand has never deployed any sizeable Leopard force ever and is well known for shocking maintainence and missing basic Nato standards. This can be said for alot of the Leopard users, it will be interesting to see how it comes together.

Oh I misread the original articles. Germany has committed to sending up to 2 battalions of Leopard 2s, or 88 tanks if they're using German battalion size. 62 if they're using Ukrainian battalion size.
Just a funny number really, I laughed when I read this.
>>
>>56906706
>>56906722
It is great the UK was the first to state it will supply 14 real mbts, but Ukraine needs hundreds maybe thousands of units. And only Leopards and M1s exist in those numbers.

I reckon they fake some of the numbers and just have Ukraine not show it all in one place. The US could have sent twice as many HIMARS and Russia would have no idea. Even if they did they'd lie about it because it would frighten the mobiks.

No it's incorrect
>In a statement, the German government said it would initially provide Ukraine with one company of Leopard 2 A6 tanks, which comprises 14 vehicles, from its own stocks. The goal is for Germany and its allies to provide Ukraine with a total of two battalions, or 88 tanks.
>The goal is for Germany and its allies to provide Ukraine with a total of two battalions, or 88 tanks.
>Germany and its allies

Germany will have to cannibalise half its fleet to be able to get 88 working tanks, even if it managed that it would be left without any for itself.
>>
>>56906688
The UK allowed Germany to be cuckshamed into allowing Leopard 2 transfers from other nations before going all in themselves.

>>
>>56906993

>>
>>56906688
No one really cared about Germany aside from the being able to block exports. They are giving all of 14 old tanks.

US leaning on them and offering to give 31 M1s, even though the money would be better spent elsewhere, seems to have been what did it.

But now the bandwagon has begun. If Italy sends tanks I think it is likely they get the Leclercs at some point too.

Next meeting of the defense chiefs is on aviation and we've already seen countries breach offering the F-16 so I think that will be the next step, especially since pilots are trained. Falcons and Strike Eagles make sense, especially with the US already having been moving JDAMs in there and Patriot Missiles up to defend assets.

Ukraine won't get the 300 tanks it needs, but it might get 100+. Air assets will be huge if the goal is a rapid spring offensive, although they'll probably eat a substantial number of losses that could be avoided by giving them the F-35 and long range missiles to deal with air defenses, so that F-16s and F-15s can start pounding targets in coordination with maneuver warfare offensives.

Of course, the other option, which NATO lacks the production infrastructure to really do well but which would be less escalatory, would be to give them more mortars and howitzers, and not 50-60, but hundreds and tens of thousands of shells, enough that Ukraine finally outguns Russia, and just let them batter Russia into the ground.

The problem with the low tech solutions is that it means way more damage to infrastructure and more Russian deaths too, which light destabilize Russia.

A Russian civil war is not good for Ukraine, they will inevitably be drawn in like they were the last one and with loose cannon factions a NATO confrontation over the Baltic borders is more likely.

Not to mention China annexing the Far East is no good long term, while a democratic Russia, and EU member bordering China, would be excellent.
>>
>>56906787
>Netherlands
They don't have any, they said they'd buy some for the occasion.
>>56907095
53 potential, will likely be a lot less.
Either that or when they found out a couple months ago that all their stored tanks couldn't be sent because none of them were anywhere near ready for service they put in a massive amount of work to get a small fleet of mothballed tanks ready again.
Though we probably would have heard of that.
>>
>>56907494
lol, china is happy to soft annex sibera by forcing russia into unfavorable contracts while they are sanctioned and flooding it with ethnic han. they are ike a 4th of the population already.

only way china hard annexes siberia is if a democratic reformer takes over after putin

they will likely heavily back their own horse for successor and russia will be like another north korea

Blatantly false. The center-center-center-left government started the deliveries back in March 22 and never wavered.
2/3 of the (right wing) current government had been opposing them (salvini & berlusconi, both compromised with russia- berlusconi having been literally putin buddy, salvini going around with a putin shirt in moscow to get gibs).

Meloni, the new pm , who also was cozy with russia due to muh identitary sovranist right, did a 180° when the war started and is now trying a balancing act between 1) europe and usa 2) her base which is split against/pro ucraine, and 3) the bases of the other right wing parties in her coalition which are fully pro-russia.

Italian public opinion, in particular extreme left wing, anti-parties center-right wing, and identitarian/sovranist right wing have been incredibly manipulated by russian propaganda, and italy as a result is one of the most anti-ukraine countries. Still meloni knows a losing horse when she sees one (russia) so weapon deliveries go on but they are not advertised to the population.

God- I foresee the general italian seethe as soon as the "depleted uranium" keywords fully make their way in the public discourse.

It was not automatic. Her party was walking a fine line. SHe opposed sanctions against russia in 2014. She complimented putin s relection in 2018 as "unmistakable expression of the russian people s will". She was still asking to stop the sanctions in 2015 and 2017. at that time the youth section of her party even organised a pro russia flash mob in front of the embassy . She promoted the russian vaccine sputnik in 2020, and on the 8th of februarry 2022 she was still opposing sanctions on national television (picrel).

She wised up, because she want to consolidate power. But you can't erase her past support for russia. She needs to be kept under observation.

The UK literally accepted they're going to lose 14 tanks in order to shame Germany into doing it. As Germany was constantly making excuses why it couldn't send tanks or allow others to send tanks. Given that most italian entrepreneurs have similar issues, there you have the core of its party line, plus more jobs less taxes for everyone and anti-communism (where communism is the judicial system). if there is one European country that does NOT want attention, it be Germany. It has been their policy for 70 years now. They just want to sell their stuff and try to not upset anyone while doing it. However, again and again every European NATO and EU country in the end always look at Berlin when big decisions have to be made.
Post empire UK on the other hand has always been a try hard to stay relevant on the world stage, mostly by unconditionally supporting whatever stance or venture the US was on at the time.

Poland gets a lot of transfers for its farmers and for infrastructure inverstment. Which is good, considering how large the country and underdeveloped large parts are. Helping Poland to modernize will benefit us long term, especially with Ukraine westernizing. Most of the goods will travel through Poland. That offers huge opportunity for Poland to grow its economy and get a big piece of that pie. The Union is about cooperation, Vanya. That part you will never understand.

All Europeans should care because the subhuman trash that is the Russians are still trying to pull shit we all agreed we wouldn’t do anymore. They make us spend money that we would rather like to use on improving our lives on bombs and tanks. Taxation does not reduce wealth when it is turned into services that enable people to generate more wealth instead of dying or being a retard that can't speak English or can't be competitive in the new job markets. The only wealth that is impaired by taxation is the wealth of those that are already rich (and that consequently don't give a fuck about education or healthcare). No surprise the high school dropout in northern cities are mostly the pampered prole of the rich that have their future granted no matter what so they don't give a fuck about education. I couldn't give less of a fuck about race, yet all the criminals are fucking poles. Go figure.

Bit sad Scholz had to buckbreak Biden and force all of Europe to come together before that could happen, innit?
>>

Are they? Mind sharing a source?

I wouldn’t call cooperation in an alliance backbreaking, anon.

Poland would've had to drop protectionist policies in order to attract investment either way, the only difference being that they wouldn't have any gibs if say the US or Japan invested in Poland instead.

>why increasing transaction costs
Any money used is loaned from a central bank. It was never "available for making your lives better".
You should take a higher level of economics, you might learn something.
>>
>>56914662
How exactly is an increased need to store weapons and use scarce resources on those instead of creating means of production or goods that actually provide utility other than the ability to kill vatniks a desirable state?
Money is just a token, it’s about things anon. Or time.

It's not getting better for you, toilet cleaner.

Yes, they all used a 128×128 InSb seeker

ASRAAM Block 6 onwards now uses a higher resolution seeker because the original one was manufactured in the US and subject to ITAR, so the Brits had to produce a new one to sell ASRAAM to Qatar (the US previously blocked it for Saudi Arabia, so they got IRIS-T where the seeker is German-made)
IIRC the US Navy wanted a higher resolution seeker for AIM-9X Block III but it's been shelved
>>
>>56915000
just because they have the same resolution and materials doesn't mean they're the same
nice trips tho
>>
>>56914988
That is highly unlikely. Because even if you just aggregate all the foreigners in London and look at the share of the poles it’s not the majority. Did you fail math?

It's a pole all right.

This way they at least get subsidies for their infrastructure.
>>
>>56915137
Your inability to read in what you claim to be your native language is astonishing.
>>
>>56915000
IRIS-T doesn't even use a fixed 128 x 128 FPA.
>>
>>56914811
Did you not understand that part about the money being loaned to your government from the central bank? With interest, I might add.

Rewrite your question with better english, you retarded slav. You see this ","? It's called a comma. Use it.

The central banks are owned by the government, at least in Europe. They are not privately owned entities. Central bank rates are just taxes here.
The government also does not loan money from a central bank. Where did you get that one from? The government loans money from entities willing to buy bonds. Which usually would be institutional investors.
Do you even know how money is created?
