>everyone suddenly giving MBTs to Ukraine
>everyone in Ramstein talking about defeating Russia
>even Switzerland is now sendings weapons

What is going on? It feels like 1945, when everyone suddenly wanted to join the allies since it was obvious that Germany is being defeated. But today in the front, Ukraine haven't been on the offensive for months and Russia even took some towns.

Did the CIA just figure out Russia sold all of its nukes or what the fuck?

because people in the west pay attention to things like massive recapturing of territory and wholesale slaughter of enemy troops, not the status of microscopic towns

Diplomacy and cooperation take time. This is a big coalition with individual aims. As the war goes on more nations are realising the benefit of helping Ukraine to defeat Putin. NATO have repeated tested Russian threats of escalation. Moscow has repeatedly failed to follow through on these threats.
Many governments have been wary to "Not be the first", but the UK popped that seal by announcing MBT deliveries to Ukraine, Putin has done nothing to retaliate. Germany are becoming less reliant on Russian energy and the European winter has been mild. As spring approaches it becomes possible to consider a new offensive. NATO are aware that Russia will attempt their own moves in the coming months so MBTs are needed soon, rather than in November when offensives became impossible. The issue can no longer be put off.

Also hawks have been wanting for years to see western gear BTFO soviet shitboxes and it's finally happening.

Gee, I wonder why Ukraine has not been on offensive during season when anything heavier than starving mobik sinks into mud.

If you think anyone is going to throw nukes you are delusional. The only instance where any of that shit happens is if Putin wants to straight up murder suicide himself which isnt going to happen. Even if it DOES happen its likely that somewhere along the line someone calls out the bullshit eventually and outs the morons calling for nukes.

That was obvious from the very start. They wouldn't need to mention NOOK in every sentence if they actually had them. You don't need to tell people that you have a gun if you are willing to shoot it.
>What is going on?
The west realized that prolonging the war will be pretty expensive, but also defeat is not allowed either, so now it's time to end it. Since russia refused to do any reasonable talks until then, they just classified it as absolutely hopeless and the only solution now is their complete and utter defeat.
>>
>>56899200
no it's supposed to be proper winter, but it appears to have skipped ukraine this season so far. chance february and march will be cold
>>
>>56899208
winter isn't over yet
>>
With the progress of the last few months (or eve half the year). This means the much bigger and heavily equipped Russia is struggling vs. Ukraine. Most western countries are calling the bluff that Russia is "somehow saving their best for last" narrative.

shouldn't they be sending things like atacams as well if that was the case

>>
>>56899067
Western retards finally figured out that appeasing monke will not end the war. It'll only start it on a bigger scale. A complete military victory for Ukraine and utter obliteration of the Russian army is the only thing that will dissuade Russia from chimping out further. If Ukraine restores it's 1991 boarders, "MAYBE" the Russian elite and milbloggers will get the hint that Russias empire and world superpower days are over.

>Since russia refused to do any reasonable talks until then, they just classified it as absolutely hopeless and the only solution now is their complete and utter defeat.
I think this might be the case. I bet there were many talks with Russian diplomacy to stop the war but they refused. And the longer the war is, the more money Europe is losing in the long term. I don't believe only Macron was trying to comfort Putin, but many other powerful politicians as well. Because these asian morons refused to stop being degenerate at least for another decade, even the softest western politicians found some balls in their pants.

I know this is nonsense, because obviously it's Lavrov, but what do you think he would answer if someone asked why the anglo saxons would need a NATO base in the sea of azov being that a NATO country already controls access to the black sea and Romania and Bulgaria are NATO nations as well?

I don't think Russians advanced north of Svatove. They claim they did capture Novoselivkse but afaik Ukies still hold the village and Kuzemivka became grey zone.
Similar story for the village south of Bakhmut. Russians forced Ukies to retreat from Klishchiivka but the village itself became a grey zone.

>>
>>56899067
>What is going on?
2023 is where a critical mass is reached where nations that dislike Russia or have grievances against them (ongoing or historical) take hold of the opportunity to get together and kick the shit out of Russia while they're down

There are a *lot* of nations that don't like Russia. An interesting thing to observe is that hatred of Russia grows with geographical proximity, which would explain things such as tiny nations like Estonia spending over 1% of their GDP on the war and giving away all their artillery to Ukraine. It's a beautiful example of historic karma swinging back around to finally smack someone in the face.

Any remotely credible observer and reporter called Russia's bluff with the nukes.
Remember that Putin threatened with nukes several times already and even Ukrainian attacks on Russian soil didn't entail Russian nukes.
Russia nuking Ukraine is very very unlikely. Russia nuking a NATO country is basically never gonna happen, not because of this war at least.

Ukraine formalized a spring offensive plan and euros like their odds I guess.

It also does mean ukrs ran out of their soviet surplus - meaning they are more and more dependent on their "elite" foreign traineds and nato donations with each month - meaning they are no longer able to carry counter offensives without foreign material support.

We may see the dnieper getting crossed by april.

prosperous democracies with stable rule of law tend to take some time to transfer into war mode because there are rules, procedures and alternative approaches that have to progressively be followed and checked off. once they get going though they progressivley pick up steam. with authoritarian regimes it's the opposite.

the only time that rule has been apparently subverted was the soviet union in ww2 - however that was in part because the germans were authoritarian (and hence inefficient) too and the US basically being the main driver in soviet performance during the war.

the russians had to win by the end of march or this bogaloo would be a foregone conclusion. they didn't. now they're fucked.

I know it was necessary to get the krauts to stop being fags about the Leopards but is a mismatch of 40 something Challenger 2s and M1A2s really going to be much of a help? Wouldn't another 100 odd Bradleys and like 30-40 M270s be more useful? This is assuming Leopards still got approved of course, because obviously tank better than no tank. Just seems like kind of a pain in the ass to have a singular mutant anglo-battalion

I know. They announced them all after the Ramstein meeting. It just seems like 200 Bradleys, instead of 100 Bradleys + 30 Abrams, would be more useful. Again, assuming the Leopards still got approved.
