Has anyone noticed the amount of territory Russia occupies is almost the same distance from the border across occupied Ukraine? Can they not extend beyond a certain point?
>>
>>53562355
It's the distance you reach without refueling

Yes, we noticed their logistics were utter rubbish back in the first week. Congratulations on finally catching up.

why dont china help russia? russia did everything they could to modernize china during cold war until eventual sino soviet split?
>>
>>53562355
Yes, it's been known since the first few days of the war.
>>
Yeah. It seems like a coincidence though. If you looked at the map closely you would see that front line is mostly terrain which is hard to cross like rivers, forests or dense cities.

Why are they attacking exclusively along the southern border? Why don't they do a full-scale country-wide envelopment?

China really doesn't want to put it's balls in the same vice as Russia all for the sake of a war of conquest that doesn't even benefit China. Similarly, if China went full chimp-out over Taiwan and was getting dragged through the literal and metaphorical mud as hard as Russia is currently, Russia probably wouldn't be sprinting over to help out either.
>>53562464

Did you take a vacation to mars or some shit a few months ago and only recently get back?

yeah they did. Including a poorly planned airdrop on Kiev
>>

why don't they simply march over to kiev and kill zelensky?

Ukraine's main forces are on Donbass area. Defeating the Ukrainians there would destroy the majority of their more experienced troop and make the defnese of eastern Ukraine harder and harder

They couldn't manage the wider front with Kyiv as it was. If they spread out more, it would just make their difficult logistical train harder.
>>
>>53562464

Russians gave up the northen front when they realised that the Ukranians werent surrendering anytime soon. The fact that they gave up, shows how dangerous Russia is. Other armies would have stubbornly digged in and refuse to retreat.
>>
>>53562410
The Chinese/Russian alliance is one of convenience because currently both of them hate the West more than they dislike each other. If the West and NATO were somehow to collapse today Russia and China would be at each others' throats.
>>
>>53562583
other armies would have already won
>>
>>53562410
It’s more profitable, and therefore more in China’s interest, to just let Russia completely fuck itself over in Ukraine and then pick up the pieces afterwards then for Russia to actually win in Ukraine.

Why does every image posted here continue to show fake blue Ukraine arrows in the north of Ukraine? Ukraine did not win this territory lol. Russian just withdrew and focused on the east. Remove these blue arrows and it shows you the real tide of the war. Russian advances have decimated and established firm control of all of eastern Ukraine including the DPR and LPR regions that Putin promised to liberate. According to Russians initially stated objectives they have already won. Yet, Western propaganda continues to make up "victories" for Ukraine. If I was Ukrainian I would be shitting myself. They haven't won a single victory and are just slowly losing more territory. At this rate Ukraine will be completely Russian by the end of the year.
>>
>>53562355
40km is about the maximum range of russian indirect fire, like the absolute pussies they are they've been shelling from inside Russia. Outside of Russian shelling range, their invasion force wanes.
>>
>>53562672
>Russian advances have decimated and established firm control of all of eastern Ukraine including the DPR and LPR regions that Putin promised to liberate.
That is a real flowery way of admitting that they've barely been able to move the front from where they started in three months.

Why doesn't Russia just shoot down all the Ukrainian planes, blow up all the Ukrainian tanks, storm Kiev, kill/arrest Zellenskyy and occupy all of Ukraine?

If they did that they would have already won the war but instead they keep doing these autistic "feint" and "columns of vehicles doing nothing" moves

If Russian forces make the deliberate choice to end their offensive before the Ukrainian military forces them to do so, that decision would be a strong indicator of imminent annexation.

It failed because of overestimation and "best case scenario" thinking. They went into to a hostile country that has equal and sometimes better equipment and technology (not to mention complete information advantage thank you CIA) on the offensive. So you have Russian units going 1-1 odds against a veteran fighting force that has been at war for 8 years and trained by western forces, entrenched, and very fucking angry. They couldn't drown them in men because they didn't have enough men for the invasion and couldn't quickly twist the Ukrainian arm like in 2014 because of what was said above.
No matter what happens next Ukraine can only really scale in power from here as the lend lease act is signed and the west is almost completely united against the Russians. The RF on the other hand cannot as the use up equipment they cannot replace (the old soviet inheritance of vehicles that they spend like a 16 year old girl in a strip mall and advanced optics and missiles) and their economy lags harder as glowies and the people of western countries that still import Russian gas are forced to stop buying it. The CIA doesn't gaf if Germans are cold they want the 2nd coming of the Golden Horde done and dusted.
Most likely how this will end is that Russia tries to push for Novorossiya (what you see in the current gains rn) but get too cocky and end up losing them after a Ukrainian counteroffensive when their warmachine dries up, then Putin will either close off the country more and become much more authoritarian, or his Oligarchs and Generals realise they are next, shoot him in his head and continue to plunder Russia with their mafia state however while co-operating with the west more.
This isn't concrete and there could be massive changes to the course of this war, but with how it's going and the Russian track record throughout recent and far out history it seems the most likely.
>>
>>53563061
I know this is a meme but for /int/ niggers I will explain
The feint shit is cope and due to incompetent leaders and lack of modern tech they east shit or their vehicles run out of supply. Everyone though the epic convoy was gonna storm Kiev but it sat there for like a month and then fucked off with the rest of the withdrawing Russian forces when the bungled the northern offensive.
>>
>>53562410
What does china gain from helping russia outside of ruining relations, probably giving Taiwan a reason to get nukes and losing shitton of money/tech in the meatgrinder?
>>
>>53562672
>Ukraine did not win this territory lol. Russian just withdrew and focused on the east.
And what was the purpose of the offensive then? The push for Kyiv cost the russians greatly. Besides, they didn't retreat. They literally routed
>Russian advances have decimated and established firm control of all of eastern Ukraine including the DPR and LPR regions that Putin promised to liberate.
So Russia has managed to not take significant territory in 3 months of war? They already controlled most of that before the invasion
>According to Russians initially stated objectives they have already won
They haven't met a single stated objective you fucking mongrel. Not that they have actual objectives, just an extremely vague list to claim victory after their inevitable defeat
>>
>>53562410
You're an idiot. America did far more to modernize China and turn them into an economic powerhouse than shithole Russia ever could.
>>
>>53562410
China is furious about this because it's fucking up Xi's plans. Ukraine is an agricultural exporter to china, which needs to import food. In fact Ukraine was one of the few non-western-aligned countries that allowed China to use competition to keep prices low. They had defensive treaties with Ukraine and also poured a ton of money and diplomatic effort into putting Belt+Road through Ukraine. Then russia bombed it lmao.
So now China is going to get raked over the coals for food competing with shit like Egypt in markets that are hostile to them, they've lost their good will with the Ukies because they sided with the russians, the west has shown it's willing to bleed to inflict greater losses on their enemies and is looking over foreign actors that aren't the US with a far greater scrutiny. The US is also enjoying a sudden spike in trust, and they are firmly opposed to chinese growth and expansion. All while Xi is up for 'reelection' with the party.

Fun fact: the bulk of their forces in the east during the actual invasion was, without irony, "a feint", a distraction for the invasion force coming from the north that was supposed to take Kiev and end it all within a week or little bit more. That was their best troops. Now they're having to defend Luba and Donhezuela after having their forces ripped apart.

Things aren't going well.

Those are actually pylons that conduit the mausoleum radiation to expand the vatniksphere, while turning areas under its influence inhospitable to human life.
