Have Javelins and NLAWs really been making a difference? What is the main tank destroyer in this war (mud/desertion aside)?
Most tank kill videos seem to be caused by artillery or STUGNA-P.
>>
>>53556474
Theres going to be more videos of Stugna and artillery destroying vehicles because you can pretty safely film that, just save the footage from the artillery spotting drone or have Misha pull out his phone and record the monitor for the Stugna. Less so for shit that involves direct exposure to what you're trying to kill like NLAWs and the couple Javelin videos we have gotten suck because it's such a long range platform that you just see a little speck explode in the distance.

Fucking hang yourself you retard

It's obvious we aren't seeing most of the action. That is why I am asking what /k/ thinks is the reality.
We are completely in the dark especially about the tank on tank action.
>>
Invader of the cement, what is your wisdom?
>>
>>53556497
There's actually more documented Javelin than NLAW kills, for what it's worth.

Anyway, video documentation scales pretty closely with number of weapons in country.

Wali that candian sniper said russian tanks were sitting back out of range and plinking ukie jav crews with HE in the east

Stunga is an atgm, so I would count it among all atgm kills. Why, you ask? Well, the main killers of tanks historically have been artillery and tanks. So if that’s changed to the point where every squad of infantry dismounting from a bmp is capable of slotting 8-9 tanks, then maybe the tank as we know it will have to change drastically.
It depends on whether the threat is atgm or drone guided artillery. We’ve seen the battleship replaced by the aircraft carrier, and we’ve seen the introduction of drones to both sides of every conflict since 2003. Marshall Mud will always be there. Atgms as an apex level threat are a new factor. Drone guided artillery means that non-integrated armies without air support (or even a fucking SEAD/DEAD doctrine as is Russia’s case) won’t be able to effectively field armor

yes
>What is the main tank destroyer in this war
artillery. artillery is the main destroyer of *everything* in war, it has been ever since WW1.
>>
>>53558002
Since long before then, Napoleon called it “the queen of battle”.
>>
>>53556474
javelins etc serve a couple of distinct roles. a lot of the videos we're seeing are of them being used in ambushes by special forces, you can't exactly sneak a tank or howitzer into the rear lines. though maybe with russia you can, but it's harder than sneaking in an NLAW on a 4wd scooter.
the other place where we're seeing them get used is to stop an armored push long enough to get the artillery involved. it's possible to hit tanks on the move with laser guided shells but they are expensive and comparitively rare, NLAW etc allow the infantry to stop the enemy armor for a few critical minutes while friendly artillery gets the bearing laid in and start firing and the minute or so it takes for the shells to arrive once they've left the tubes.
>>
>>53556474
NLAW is what the javelin wish it was. It got the most tanks.
>>
>>53558037
>queen of battle
>not the king
thanks for proving my point. artillery didn't become the king of the battlefield until WW1.

It doesn't seem like the west come through with equipment promises. most video is with soviet equipment

why is he laughing and smirking when talking about his comrades in arms that get killed beside him

>Yea you know they there was nothing they were dead *smile*
>It was funny because after the shot wali was running after picking up his rifle, but the other guys he checked but they were dead *smiles*

what the fuck is this dude
>>
>>53558210
I mean people react weirdly to high stress, I tend to laugh for example. Or he might just be a psychopath.
>>
>>53558210
Clearly you've never been under great stress, you react in weird ways that would seem inappropriate to a neutral observer.
>>
>>53556474
They were key in early invasion when Russians started spamming tanks/armored vehicles. Now that most of their vehicles are destroyed, its now an artillery warfare with some sneak attacks.
>>
>>53556474
according to the Ukrainians it's the Javelin
>>
>>53556474
Because Stugna means instant Kino due to being screen-operated.
>>
>>53558210
It's an absurd and surreal situation.
>>
>>53556474
It's not just how many tanks but where those tanks are being hit. Javelins and NLAWs are useful to guerilla teams hitting the Russian supply lines.
>>
NLAWs “happy time” was the Kiev convoy days when Ukrainian irregulars were chewing apart Russian armor by the hundreds.

The war has gotten much more static and long ranged, Stugnas seem to be preferred in these scenarios. We’ve also seen more javelin kill videos now, but my impression is Ukrainians view the javelin as a little too complicated to use.
>>
>>53558049
It isnt sneaking artilery in that is the problem. Which it is. But sneaking artilery out. After the enemy definitely knows you are there.
>>
>>53556647
Considering the range of NLAW that makes sense. You won't have the head space to film when trying to pop t72's with one of them.

There does seem to be more appreciation for the NLAW than the jav from Ukies. Part of that is going to be that there is just much more of them and the average private is much more likely to have used one or seen them used.
>>
>>53558410
I've been in more combat than you fuck face

Marines for five years
>>
>>53558160
From the Anglos it most definitely has. Much of it before the war.

Most of the rest of the kit is being used to equip the new forces being built up around Lviv. It will probs be another month before they are ready to start entering combat. At that point Russia is going to increasingly find themselves at a numerical disadvantage

Missile is worth more than the target.

Has your anus shrank back to its original dimensions yet?

Not to mention the worthless slav lives manning said tank or BMP.
>>
>>53563010
It really isn't. Even shitty T-72s are worth more than that.
If you don't value the crew and all of the fuel, food, medicine, etc that was used to train them at literally 0 then it gets even more lopsided.
Real weird cope.

>>53556474
Same as always. We give a small amount of aid and boast about how we saved them. They don’t say anything because then they would look like ingrates and a small amount of aid is still aid.
Lend-lease (ww2): appreciated by British and soviets but overhyped by suppliers
Stinger missiles in Afghanistan: appreciated by Mujahadeen but overhyped by Americans
Javelins, NLAWs, etc: Appreciated by Ukrainians but overhyped by Americans
