Is liking revolvers an American-only thing? I knew a guy from Germany who was into guns but was genuinely confused why I had a revolver.
>>
>>51185721
Pretty much. I know people that ask why I carry a 6rd revolver with a speed loader instead of a 6rd lcp with a spare mag, and honestly my only answer is because I can.
>>
>>51185751
Try this: https://zetasix.com/product/k-pak/

Faster than a speedstrip and lays flatter innapocket than a speedloader. They sell on ebay too.

Lemon squeezers seem cheaper than I expected. Then again, I'm pretty clueless on this kind of stuff. Are they a dime a dozen like model 10s?

I remember seeing this thing on YouTube a while ago, it was like a speed strip but when you pulled it out it would curl up into a ring and you’d insert it like a speedloader, and then yank it like a beyblade ripcord to get the rounds off the strip and in the gun. Does anyone else remember this? Is it a real product now?
>>
>>51187295
https://youtu.be/7NaZpeFEfN8
Found it. I feel like this holds a good advantage over speed strips has anyone ever seen something like this irl?
>>
>>51187320
It seems more fragile and slower than a regular speed loader, and looks like it'll curl in the pocket regardless.
>>
>>51187342
In the beginning of the video it shows a little leather iwb holster for it that’s supposed to keep it straight and flat. Though that does raise the point though of keeping it flat like that might put stress on what seems like very small springs so they might lose the ability to curl back into the proper alignment over time.

the one with teh hellfire boys book is mine, and theyre wood houge grips
https://www.opticsplanet.com/hogue-gp100-super-redhawk-pau-ferro-top-finger-groove-80350.html
if i was to get another set, id probably go for the grooveless ones maybe with a stripe cap, cause of how my stubby fat fingers are. but i got that on sale and my gp100 was under 500 out the door so i still felt like i got a lot of nice shit for not too much.
finger grooves are good with synthetic materials, especially softer ones you can squeeze a bit. harder materials with finger grooves are best if custom amde for you and your hands, though working with wood isnt too hard if you want to fit it yourself.
but see whats out there and if you need to, theres woodworkers that will do custom orders and make really nice stuff for your guns.
the new super gp100s like pic realted come stock with wood grips, same with the match champion gp100s, honestly i like wood quite a bit on them in general

Can some more knowledgeable anon tell me if a S&W is a good concealed carry? I'm a pretty thin guy and don't want it to be too visible in my shirt if I IWB carry. I currently carry an LCP II and a NAA 22lr but I am in love with the dark metal OG grips Model 36. How bulky and heavy is it for CC? Would I be printing like a motherfucker if carrying it IWB?

Thanks.

Not him but i've carried a 49, 36, and 637. For pocket carry I prefer the shrouded hammer of the bodyguard frame, but covering the hammer with your thumb as you draw also works. It's a j-frame so obviously it's easy to conceal. I would suggest a grip adapter like the tyler t-grip or it's equivalents if you're planning to use the factory grips.
>>
>>51205818
How do you think a Kydex IWB would feel and work?

Thanks for the good response.
>>
>>51205818
I have a Taurus 856 I IWB carry sometimes and it's like dragging around a cinder block. I believe its basically a j frame. Big difference?

I see posts like this and I can't understand them. It's like I live in a different physical reality.
>>
>>51205839
Funny you should mention that. A family friend purchased an 856 a year or so ago (Recently traded it on another handgun) and we both remarked that it was a bit larger than a j-frame. As far as weight goes i've carried full size handguns, including a Jericho without a problem so the weight doesn't bother me.
>>
>>51205870
Those grips look fuck huge.

>>51205879
An 856 is like a COlt D frame size. A bit larger than a J frame with 6 shots instead of 5. Still reasonably svelte compared to something like a K frame Smith.
>>
>>51205823
I've never cared for kydex with blued firearms. Something about the sound of the draw just makes me imagine blueing being scraped off my gun.
>>
>>51205876
I'm a 6'1" 150 pound dude who wears relatively tight clothes. I was printing like a mother fucker. I don't mean heavy weightwise but like its profile on my body and how much space it took up. I EDC a LCP II so it's night and day.
>>
>>51205879
Thanks for the input. I'm selling me LCP II, NAA 22, and 856 tomorrow to try and get like 80% of what I need for a Model 36. 800 is my limit.
>>
>>51205900
You'll either dress around the gun or you won't. It's not the gun's fault.
>>
>>51205892

>>
>>51205943
You don't need tight clothes to look good. Being skinny gives you the most options for layering while still looking /fa/ and not overheating.
>>
>>51205898
Fair. I just hate pocket carry. I've never carried a nice revolver before or been able to afford a S&W until recently
>>
>>51205963
Get something like a Remora or sticky holster. Won't fuck up the finish.
>>
>>51205959
Yea true. I lost 40 pounds and I no longer look like a fucking liquor swollen Buddha so, as gay as it sounds, I'm enjoying wearing nice clothes.
>>
>>51205970
Maybe leather IWB? I know it's irrational but pocket carry always makes me paranoid about blowing my cock off like John Wayne Bobbitt
>>
>>51206003
I use a remora IWB.
>>
>>51206013
How much did your 36 set you back?
>>
>>51205951
If you're cash strapped get a 637. You can pick one up in the $450 range. Later when you can afford it you can go find yourself an older blued j-frame.
>>
>>51206025
Doesn't matter you can't get one now for what I paid years ago. Shit is permafucked since the panic last year.

>>
>>51206082
I wasn't sure how I felt about it at first either. But it kinda grew on me. I regret a lot of things in life but having to sell that is towards the top of the list.
>>
>>51206027
It doesn't come blued or in black metal as far as I know. I ain't about that shine.
>>
>>51206114
Whyd you have to sell it? Cash strapped? I'd buy you it back if we were friends, anon.
>>
>>51206115
Not my favorite thing either. However the upside is that it won't rust, and you won't feel like shit if it gets banged up. Fuck I don't even carry my 36 during the summer anymore. It's why it still looks so damn nice.
>>
>>51206138
Yeah people say not to carry them in summer. Does sweat fuck them up? I'm dead set on carrying a 36 as my EDC but I want to weigh all factors before dropping close to a g-note on it and selling my beloved LCP II 380.
>>
>>51206133
Was taking care of a sick family member and wasn't generating a lot of income as a result. Sold off the majority of my collection at the time.
>>
>>51206155
Blueing isn't an especially durable finish in general, and sweat/holster wear will eventually remove the vast majority of the finish. You can slow the process down but you can't really stop it.

They're fun as hell and incredibly well made. If you get the pic related grips they are easy as hell to carry. Looks like a knife in your pocket. It's the gun a carry when I don't carry a gun. Insanely inaccurate and insanely loud for a 22lr. The picrel grips make it much easier to get a grip on. No worries carrying it in your pocket because not only is it a single and action and the trigger is covered but it has safety notches in the cylinder so the hammer never rests behind a round.
