>>
>>50824431
One of the things I liked about the 6094 is that it was one of the few carriers that allowed you to place your soft armor BEHIND your side hard armor. Most carriers from those days had it backwards where your soft armor could only be placed in front. Also, the soft armor added to my 6094 made the cummerbund stupidly rigid, meaning there was zero sag as rigid armored ends of the cummerbund went partially into the rear platebag.

Daily reminder to check in at your local church and start networking.

There are many based Anons riddled all over the country, I’ve personally met 8 4chan autists or sympathizers in our age group (17-40) at 2 Eastern Orthodox churches (maybe my math is off and it’s 3, but you get the point).
The following is a list of where to meet these Chads
>Eastern Orthodox Church (status of the Coptics isn’t known). There are some based folks at the Greek Orthodox, but they are widely regarded as being the most liberal and you should expect a low turnout, if any
>Latin Mass Catholic
>Random backwoods Protestant churches, possibly mega churches due to the sheer volume of people. Be aware however, mega churches are only valuable because of their numbers, and you’ll meet a bunch of liberals while you’re at it. Don’t raise your hopes, but don’t give up either
>But anon, which one is right theologically?
Eastern Orthodoxy. But, network. Watch out for the Prots, they can be some of the biggest supporters of Israel, and that’s a clash waiting to happen if you’re even somewhat based

What’s a good plate carrier color? I’m thinking on getting M81 or ATACs for my camo (leaning towards M81). For plate carrier I’m not sure between coyote brown, Ranger green, or Olive Drab. Coyote brown seems to blend in at all times, specifically with the dirt. Opinions?
I’m mid-Atlantic btw

Can those Meshtastic nodes interface with Baofang radios?
If it works, I was thinking about placing those nodes around town, and then using a PC mounted Baofang radio to use those nodes as repeaters to a home ATAK server.
Am I totally off base with how this stuff works?

They can not interface with Baochangs. You can use the Hammer plugin to push ATAK data over your Baochangs though. You'll need to carry two radios since one radio will be completely burdened with pushing data

You don't belong on /k/.

>>
>>50825110
I'd just get a cheap radio. 1 Tbeam mesh radio is useless by itself. If you have a radio, you'll be able to communicate in an emergency over a widely used, open platform that doesn't require other users to have the exact same hardware as you.

Price doesnt bother me as much as the idea of neck injuries with wearing a heavy helmet that could possible cause a neck injury.
Ive looking into an ECH and found a really good price for it, but everyone I talk to about it, especially vets tell me that I should get a highcut because earpro under a full cut causes migraines after a few hours.

Ive seen people use OPscore AMP arms to mount ear pro on the rails on full cuts, but have been told even then the sides of the helmet press the earpro against your head

Well, this is my experience so don't take it as gospel. Some people's head shape (size and where the ear sits exactly on the head) means that a high cut is not quite high enough - the top of the ear muff will be impacted by the bottom of the helmet shell, causing headaches and broken seals.
This is where the superhigh aka maritime cut comes in.
For my self personally, the midcut is perfect as it gives a touch more coverage than a high, but permits the wearing of railed ears, which is extremely dicey with a full cut. I know for a fact I can wear a headset under a full cut ACH, but I get headaches in five minutes. Painful ones too.

I was thinking, if you go to the Greek church you could stand at the back of the church and when the liturgy ends you could bail if you’re that nervous. I would encourage you to stay in the middle and only leave after you’ve had the meal together, but if you are afraid that’s okay too. Just stand far enough the greeter won’t try and talk to you (they’re all friendly, so we have to think of how to keep you away from chattier people)

In my experience, the bigger the Condor item, the more opportunities they have to fuck it up. The smaller pouches tended to hold up ok but it looks like their quality dropped a few years ago.

Well there seems like there is a few things to unpack here. I would have responded sooner but I have spent the whole day on the range.

While the Hávamál is believed to have been written by Odin himself, some scholars have put forward that the Hávamál was written by a man who was receiving the wisdom of Odin on his travels. That being said the Norse deities have always been spoken of as having a keen interest in humanity and visiting often to just walk around and see what’s going on. In several stories he refers to himself as Gangleri, which literally translates to wanderer.

>>50822872
I appreciate you responding to this anon as well. I am not here to try and convert anyone, far from it their path is their own to make. I do often find that I do receive backlash from monotheistic faiths just based on their structure alone. I try my best to practice the traditional Norse believes but I have included some more modern one. One thing in particular that sometimes surprises Christians is that I don’t denounce the existence of your god. Nor Hindu, Muslim, Judaism etc. my pantheon within Norse paganism is wide and varied Aesir, Vanir, Jotun, Elves, dwarves they all have their place. I simply pray to my gods rather than yours.

On the mention of sin, there isn’t really sin within Norse Paganism. There are of course things that are frowned upon but it’s more the idea that you live a good life so that you may live a good life, and those you care about can live a good life.

Your Norse wisdom for the day. These two stanzas I really quite like, take from them what you will.

Hávamál Stanzas 81-82
Crawford translation.

Don’t praise the day until it’s night,
don’t praise your wife until she is burned,
dont praise your sword until after the fight,
nor your daughter until she’s married,
don’t praise the ice until it’s crossed,
nor the ale until it’s drunk.

Chop wood when the wind blows,
row your boat on a calm sea,
court a lover at nighttime
(for the day has many eyes).
Value a ship for its speed,
a shield for its protection,
a sword for its sharpness,
and a woman for her kiss.

What sort of drills do you guys do with your gear when shooting?

I do pop-ups where I hit a target twice, drop to the ground, hit it twice again, pop up and hit it twice again. Basic Box A to Box B stuff mixed in. Failure drills inside the vehicle. I do a lot of non shooting stuff too. I climb a block wall, then climb into a tree from there, climb the tree onto my roof, cross the roof, get onto the wall on the other side, descend the wall. I walk around the yard and do basic yard cleanup under night vision to stay current with it.

If it is built the same as the old days then there is a soft facepiece that is vulnerable to damage from scratches. There is, therefore, a hard faceplate to cover the soft facepiece. Sand gets between the two and destroys both the main facepiece and the protective cover. Please, correct me if they are no longer built like this.

That's a good idea, though, my fear is that I'll be perceived as that one weirdo who just shows up and doesn't interact with anyone. Perhaps I am just overthinking it. I wish I had someone to go with. I'd feel a lot more comfortable if I had a friendly face

Cheaper to make something in one pattern and potentially more useful to the buyer as a standalone item. My only guess is fashion.

I've made comparisons to carriers like the SPC in that the 6904 with soft armor provides that rigid cummerbund structure that ends up helping really well with weight distribution.

You know there's an ATAK specific UAS plugin that supports DJI UAS platforms right?
You immediately gain more control over the UAS and additionally have a VPN running internally to keep it from talking back to China.
>>
>>50832233
I am intimately aware of the specific ATAK plugins
None of them fix the underlying issues with the UAS itself

Altitude, speed, location and operation limitations plus remote kill ""features". Its the easiest to integrate into ATAK but there is nothing stopping you from loading fixed firmware and using ATAK

>I would have responded sooner but I have spent the whole day on the range.
How? It’s so expensive for ammo anymore
>Havamal written by Odin himself, scholars believe
I’m not a very big fan of when scholars come in and say “Well actually”, because that goes against the cultural witnessing of a community (that being he wrote the book, he was a diety etc).
I have to be careful about what I’m about to say
It would make sense that he had such great insight of a certain spiritual world and garnered wisdom, and because of some profound thing we don’t know became recognized as a diety.
>Norse dieties like to poke around
Iirc they had a level of honor to them, correct? I don’t believe I’ve heard any stories about them sleeping around and causing wars, unlike the Greek gods.
>I’m not here to convert anyone
The other guy had good intentions, so I’m not sure how to respond. I’ve noticed you just like to post stuff more or less, but you’re not here to blatantly convert people (and here I am telling everyone to go to church to network, then stating I hope they go to meet friends and stay for Christ).
>Backlash off of structure alone
What do you mean?
>Don’t denounce the existence of your God
I’m not trying to be “Mr.ACHTHUALLY” here, but your theology doesn’t recognize our God for who he claims to be, so you would be denouncing our God and the existence for who he claims to be, but Muslims and Jehovah’s witnesses do the same exact thing. But, I get your point. Also, I don’t think pushing forward on this thought is the best idea because once we get into a dieties standing in another faith, it’s a good way to start fights.
What’s your opinion on the whole “Hindu, Greek, and Norse gods are all the same thing with different stories”?
>Jotun and Elves

>>50827356
Do you worship certain ones or are you stating the variety of what’s around?
>Those around you live a good life
Are there any consequences in the afterlife if your belief aside from people won’t aid you in this life if you do bad stuff?

>How
When the federal government is providing the ammo you don’t have to worry about cost.
I like to believe that the Hávamál was written by Odin himself or at least him dictating the ideas to someone who could then pass it on.
>level of honor.
For the most part yes. There are some stories of the gods that do sleep with humans or at least try to but the stories show more courting that just showing up forcing themselves and leaving. In the Hávamál one of Odins stories mentions a girl “Billings daughter” that he falls in love with but ultimately gets his heart broken. This is reserved for Midgard (Earth) though. When stories are told of their travels to Jotunheim, the land of the giants, they will do anything and everything to win against the Jotun.
I don’t think anyone here is trying to convert anyone. Even if you tell people to go to church you are doing it with good intentions, you aren’t here saying “YOU MUST DO THIS…”. You are simply opening a door for them, whether they walk through it is up to the individual.

>backlash off of structure.
Now it’s my turn to carefully word this. Because of the structure of monotheistic religions like Christianity, Islam, Judaism. God is this all knowing, all seeing, all powerful being that did everything. I have found that some followers of these faiths have a difficult time recognizing that I follow a faith that has a pantheon, that my gods aren’t these perfect beings. For example I was once having a great conversation with a Christian guy, I believe he was Episcopalian, and we got to the topic of why evil happens. I know that my gods view it as not their place to interfere, and in fact sometimes they can be quite spiteful and petty. But he somewhat clammed up and got very defensive which was not my intention. Maybe I’m just a little jaded from experiences but I find myself having to be far more reserved when talking about my faith around people that hold monotheistic faith than people that have polytheistic faith. That being said the conversation that I have had here has been one of the most enjoyable that I have had in a long time and I greatly appreciate it.
>existence of other gods.
You are right, I don’t recognize the hydro-Christian god for who he claims to be. In the same manner I imagine most Christians don’t recognize mine. I hold no Ill will though, I respect you and your right to worship whoever you want and hope that it brings them peace.

That is a good question, but not one I can easily answer. While I have spoken to a few Hindus, slightly fewer Greek pagans, I don’t know enough about their religions and stories to provide an adequate answer.
>>
>>50832768
>>50832768
While there are people that pray to certain groups for example Asatru (true to the Aesir) I hold myself more polytheistic/animistic. I pray to the gods that will help me in my current situation. For example if I’m going hunting I’m not going to pray to Aegir, the Jotun god of the sea or his wife Ran. I would pray to Skaldi for a good hunt and take return from the wilderness and vice versa. Sometimes I will just make prayers to the Gods in general as a form of thanks. Alternative I may pray to the spirits that are around us, ancestors that came before to provide me guidance and protection, the Landvættir or land spirits to keep me safe on my travel through the woods.

>Afterlife
So Norse afterlife is often viewed as >>50827688. Should I die in battle or what the gods deem an Honorable death. Then I could end up in one of two places, if I am chosen by Freya I will end up in Fólkvangr, her field for the chosen in Asgard. If I am chosen by Odin and his Valkyries then I will end up in his great hall Valhalla (Valhöl).

Those that don’t have “honorable” deaths end up in Hel, not to be confused with the Christian place Hell. This is simply an afterlife where you will drink and be together until Ragnarök. This is when the armies of Hel and Asgard do one final battle. Once all is done everything shall be reborn and then and only then will people be judged by both their life before and after death.

Just so the jannies don’t flip the absolute shit, can anyone recommend a good hydration pack that can hold a 2L pouch? I need to replace the USGI one.
