Officially the #1 domestic gun manufacturer in terms of overall clout

>Owner with a catchy name
Karl Lewis

>Any product used in the wild
Karl Lewis invented the MK18 :)

>Gucci Lower
The MARS-L is the best AR Lower on the market

nothing can be debated or refuted, this is all facts

Fuck. Reddit discovered LMT.
>>

Yeah their ambi lower is pretty hard to beat. I coom everytime I lock my bolt with my index finger. Their uppers are pretty good but not anything worth bragging about.

LMT went on with their sale of rifles to NZ despite their gun ban.
Take that as you will.

I want an MWS but i keep reading about how heavy it is and how gassy it is shooting suppressed
>>
>>49202975
>heavy
It's pretty heavy, yeah.
>gassy
probably depends a lot on the specific can used. I don't think it's particularly worse than any other AR10, but many people incorrectly consider an adjustable gas block a must have item, and you aren't getting one on an MWS.

NZDF Staff officer here .

Wrt the MARS-L

The gats were so fucked up when we got them that we had to replace all firing pins , trigger mechs , and bolt heads.

We had cracking firing pins, 2lb Triggers and Bolt lugs shearing left right and center. We also had problems with cracked receivers and out of spec picatinny rail.

LMT Was apprehensive to fix these things but were obligated to. We had to go back to using Steyr AUG for a couple months.

The rifles we were sent were mass produced and performed as such , they weren't the hand fitted examples we got sent for evaluation.
>>
>>49203085
>The gats were so fucked up when we got them
lmao barely any guns had a problem at all, but LMT replaced everything to be safe anyway.

Source ; Trust me bro
>>
>>49203168
The source is LMT themselves :^)

"A handful of firing pins [less than one tenth of one percent] were reported to break or have higher than expected wear after a high round count. We did a thorough analysis of the situation and determined that some firing pins were not tempered correctly by our heat treater. We therefore decided that in order to ensure all rifles had the highest quality firing pin we replaced them all. While replacing these firing pins it was determined there was a small quantity of selector switches and carriers [also less than one tenth of one percent] that showed some premature wear. These have been replaced to provide excellent customer service. We feel this is representative of the value we place on the partnership we have with NZDF."

>hand fitted examples
>AR15
yeah that's not how it works.
>>
>>49202218
Love my LMT but Karl needs to consider better barrel profiles and put out more barrel options. I saw a 7.62x39 barrel once and it was snapped up in like 15 minutes
>>
>>49203085
Got any evidence of that?
>>
>>49203085
Nice reddit spacing larper. Literally noone in the history of ever has brought forth an LMT rifle with these types of massive issues.
Go back to cuckkit.

Nah. LMTs bolt carrier revisions are superb. Their monolithic upper is great. QD barrel system with its return to zero means switching to 300blk means a barrel, not a whole upper. Better lower.

UK, New Zealand, Estonia. Call me when Radian has a mil contract while remaining Gucci at the same time.

Anyone else part of the green gang? I know there s a few of you out there
>>
>>49202749
I literally dont understand what point you were trying to make. LMTs first major military sale was selling AR10s to the UK, a country that hasn't allowed their citizens to own such weapon since 1998 and hasn't regarded the use of firearms in self defense as legitimate and justified since the 1930s. For LMT to suddenly make some ideological stand over NZ laws would be hypocritical.
>>
>>49203085
Thats demonstrably not factual, based on testimony from both NZDF and LMT and you're a phony anyway. Kiwis dont call them AUGs, they either called them F88s or "IW Steyrs".
>>
>>49205324
Any US based arms manufacturer selling weapons to countries that would sooner put a bullet in their people using those arms, than to give them to those very same people, deserve nothing less than the lowest circles of hell reserved for hypocrites and brand whores
>>
>>49205359
That pretty much just leaves out the gun companies that don't sell the LE or Mil at all.
>>

Based thread. LMT doesn’t get enough love on here. picrel is one i bought used gonna convert to SBR. finally got a monolithic upper to pair with mars lower build, just need a bolt carrier group.
>>
>>49205439
this is a larp, LMTs are all above msrp on gunbroker
>>
>>49202975
They offer a LW barrel option and Mlok uppers if weight is that big of a deal. There's a company (BRT?) That offers custom reducing gas tubes if plan on shooting suppressed exclusively.
Other than that, embrace the weight, helps keep you on target on the bench.
>>
>>49205462
This. I just sold an old ass non-ambi stripped gen 1 MWS lower for $750, was only up about an hour.
>>
>>49205439
I got mine for 500 on sale and sold for 700. upper only.
>>
>>49205479
>They offer a LW barrel option and Mlok uppers if weight is that big of a deal.
Yeah, that still won't make it a light rifle. A lightweight mlok MWS is still nearly 9lbs unloaded.

A LaRue AR10 with a lightweight barrel is under 8lbs.
>>
>>49205451
My buddy works at lmt and showed me some of the shit he does. they have a very good manufacturing set up and make great rifles. their tolerances are fucking tight
>>
>reduce barrel length
>"Invent" new gun
>>
>>49203646
No, they had issues with a handful of firing pins not being heat treated properly so they replaced them all
>>
