There are only two blue water navies in the world and the UK is one of them.

Russia can't operate in the southern hemisphere.

China can't operate in the Western hemisphere.

France has next to no logistics capability.

India's ships are covered in shit.

None of them are able to force entry to a coastline and sustain an amphibious force indefinitely from the sea like the US an UK.

QE and PoW are some nice looking ships. Would be even nicer if they did have camos like that. Despite its smaller size than what it historically had, the RN is doing well.

Even if you only count the die-hard NATO countries, its force many times larger than any other conceivable threat.

half of theit type 45s still are undergoing upgrades to their engines
not to mention that the new turbines havent being ACTUALLY tested on warm waters(2021 will be the first time they gonna reach into warm waters)
>he issue is they have next to no logistical support capacity at all.
they do have bases in every continent
but yeah their logistics ships at least up to 2025 will be a problem
their vulcan variant will be 150% larger than durante class(oil and supplies that is)
>>
>>49207421
There was never an issue with the T45's turbines. The issue is with a Northrup Grumman made intercooler in the energy recovery stage.

Much like a formula 1 MGU-H, Type 45 uses waste heat and converts this into electrical energy. The inter-cooler that keeps the system from overheating was not built to a proper standard and would cause - in a very specific set of circumstances - the system to shut down to protect itself from overheating.

In order to cause the problem the Ship has to be running on a single gas turbine (it has two), and for that engine to be in "economy" mode. In addition the ship has to be in unusually warm water - as any sailor can attest to the Persian gulf and Arabian sea being.

In those circumstances the ship is trying to use as little fuel as possible and is trying to get as much electrical energy as possible from the heat recovery system to keep the lights on. The intercooler gets hotter and hotter and is unable to cool itself so eventually triggers a self protection mechanism and causes a powercut.

The solution is to add another diesel generator to act as a source of electrical energy when in those conditions.

Type 45 has never returned to port or had a deployment cancelled because of propulsion plant problems. They have the highest availability rate of any IEP warships in service, and even have a higher availability rate than their less advanced horizon class cousins.

4 of them were on operations at the end of last year with the other two swapping places in the refit drydock. The manpower and funding issues of the past are well into the rear view mirror.

>not to mention that the new turbines havent being ACTUALLY tested on warm waters(2021 will be the first time they gonna reach into warm waters)
Ignoring that the destroyer fleet functioned just fine in the waters even before. The issue is masively overstated. They have a VERY high availability rate, and the issue only occurred when they were running in specific conditions while running in a peacetime economy mode. ie - They would never suffer it while under full operations, and know exactly how to avoid it.

In effect, it means nothing, the upgrade is purely to allow them to run their IEP enabled economy mode everywhere.

Four of them were operational last year, and they continue to be active still. Quoting out of date articles means nothing.

Whether they can actually hit moving ships constantly maneuvering isn't clear, but every seaport and airport in the region is going to be cratered in the first few hours of a conflict. I have no idea how many ABM capable missiles the US and Japan have on hand but those stocks are probably going to be depleted rapidly if China goes all out.

Shit bait but I’ll bite
Don’t count your chickens before they hatch
Britain hasn’t reached the Indian Ocean yet
The two type 45s escorting the queen Lizzy are known to constantly break they struggle to do deployments to the Middle East area of operations what makes you think they can deploy to SCS
The QE is also full of American jets as the British don’t have enough or the pilots too whilst China and Russia both deploy their carriers with full air wing
There will also be an arleigh Burke escorting the task group because they need a real ship to do actual work
And China has sent ships to the Baltic and med sea to show their strike capability and logistics

Mark my words you’ll see British shit break and either need to return home or get stuck alongside in U.A.E or Singapore for extensive repairs
The only ship that’ll make it is the refueler because Royal fleet auxiliary seems to have their shit sorted unlike the RN
>>

>The two type 45s escorting the queen Lizzy are known to constantly break they struggle to do deployments

Type 45 has never had to return to port or have a deployment cancelled because of propulsion problems. The issue is so minor and easy to avoid that it was left until a planned mid life refit to fix.

Because the political elite in control were English. The English invited William of Orange to become king due to the incompetent and unpopular king at the time, doesn't make it Dutch. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't understand how monarchy and inheritance works.

And yet 100 years after James VI we had the act of union and the United Kingdom was born.

>China would be all too happy to see Russia get pulped

Common wishful thinking from the angloids, but as long as said angloids continue to presume to inherit the whole globe these two countries will fight together against them.

China sees Russia as the northern resource area. Russia is not well enough equipped to stop a Chinese land army from invading and holding siberia. China's need for natural resources and food will begin to weigh heavily on them in 30-50 years.

The UK still has an empire with a monarch at its head. France does not. France just yesterday retreated from one of our overseas territories after the Royal Navy scared off your butthurt fisherman.

France has a pathetic logistics capability, it can't sustain its ships at long range continuously and it can't even keep up with supply demand for the forces its mistrals land.

France needs British C-17's and Chinooks to operate in its "own" territory. The French were desperate to get the Lancaster House treaty signed so they can borrow all of our logistics. In return we could use CDG or MPA's if an emergency arose during our carrier and MPA gap. Those issues have now past but France's logsitcs issue has not improved.

nice cooperation, as soon as you dont need it you backstab them, the eternal anglos indeed
>>

We are still co-operating, we are flying their forces into and around the country. It's not backstabbing to observe that the deal is more important to your partner than yourself in current circumstances.
