I don't know, I think it was an anon who swore up and down my socom profile carbine should have problems with a carbine buffer. He does shoot a lot more than me. I'm sure it can and does cause issues, but I feel there are likely many other factors at play here, such as gas port sizing and gas system length. My subjective observation is that H1 and carbine both worked on my machine without malfunction. H1 is nicer, but carbine worked.

caliber isn't fun to shoot, not really practical for anything where I live, the bullets are mostly uncoated lead that you have to touch all the time, the feeding is never reliable. I guess I would get a little beretta olympia or something for a kid but I see no reason for them.

IMO a rocksetted or similarly semi-permanently attached super short lightweight replaceable "wear item" suppressor with large diameter, essentially a muzzle device, would go on almost ANY build except large bore or long barrel length applications where being able to reduce weight/length might be important for packing or transport.

So basically perfect use for almost anything.

as far as the length, I have an extended rail for the PS90, so I can't cut the barrel down to the teceiver and use a fat suppressor anyways.
Barrel will be cut to the end of the rail or thereabouts

Incorrect. The first couple lots of the Federal Ammo used flawed Sierra Matchking bullets which would lose/deform their jackets. That has since been remedied by Federal.

Plenty of videos out there of folks getting extreme accuracy with the cartridge.

What's the /k/onsensus on Geissele rifles?

For $2000, with nice triggers, sturdy handguards and all the upgraded small parts, they honestly don't seem like a terrible value, provided the barrels are good. I could easily spend pretty close to that, building my own rifle or building my own lower and buying a high end upper, albeit the Guyslee premium is very real. OTOH, you do get some cool color choices for the anodizing, which is tougher than cerakote or rattlecan.

Gee Billy how come your mom lets you use two pressure pads? I'd either have to get someone to splice the perst and the streamlight together, and there's no one here I'd trust with something like that, and I'm incapable of doing it myself. And secondly I'd like to keep the white light and the IR on the same side. It's honestly not that big of a deal, for the amount of shooting I do it's not even an inconvenience

Most fags here will disagree but rollmarks don't matter that much if the receiver is milspec aluminum.
If you like the way one looks over another or that this one is more angled or has cooler markings on it then by all means go for it, but don't think that the increased cost will translate to better function of the weapon. Cheap out on the lower receiver and spend the money elsewhere.

those are samples of one and he rarely records all the lowers sent to him that pass inspection.
He's had KAC lowers fail miserably, Larue lowers fail, and Anderson lowers pass without major issue. His videos are good to see what kind of issue AR15's can have, but are not indicative of a manufacturer's actual quality level or capabilities.

Magnesium is very brittle even when added to aluminum.
As such a hard impact tends to bend and snap vs deform fully.
If it was pure magnesium you would just burst into flames and die
>>
>>48426601
they are slow but not too slow on triggers and mounts
>>
>>48426657
Lowers that gauge as mil-spec are actually mil-spec. BCM and Colt and FN lowers that pass QC are mil-spec. Anderson lowers that don't go though hardly any QC, may or may not be "mil-spec" in actual.
Lemons happen, more lemons happen with worse companies.
>>
>>48426666
>If it was pure magnesium you would just burst into flames and die
not if the magnesium is coated properly. It would be dangerous, yes. Extremely dangerous, yet light.

Should I replace?
>>
>>48426665
Aye yes they were youngins, just surprised because it was a sorta popular trail and how relaxed they were. I didn’t manage to get any photos of the little ones that were good :(
>>
>>48426666
what about magnesium bullets?
>>
>>48426718
no those are all good.
aluminum pins are weak, ti castle nut is stronger than steel for the same weight and size, ti QD mount will resist wear better and less likely to break, TI mag release is negligible unless you go full retard with the lightweight.

in general, replacing one material with another is not a good idea,
without redesigning said part, and then you can use whatever fits.

how do you prevent your sling hardware from getting behind your stock when you're shouldering your rifle?
>>
>>48426917
>>48426933
I’ve found that family & friends are the second most powerful weapon next to firearms. A single man alone in an apartment can be raided and any narrative created to justify it. A man with family and friends, esp. those willing to stand and fight alongside him. That is a true danger to the government power.
>>
>>48420692

YOU BETTER CHECK YOURSELF BEFORE YOU WRECK YOURSELF

>>
>>48427050
Well it’s kinda important in today’s day and age to remind people of traditions and their values. Seems as though people lack common sense these days. Murdering a single man might cost you a couple agents. Murdering a whole family costs you your agency’s reputation. Yes sir, I shall go lift.

i guess it seems like the consensus is that DI is better for range work/long ranges due to weight/accuracy and piston is better for running short/suppressed?

So an ideal loadout would be something like a
sig rattler for 300 blk pdw, a 10.5 hk 416 for CQBR, a 16 inch sr-15 for recce and a 16/18 inch sr-25 for SPR/DMR?
