Unless you are willing to learn about HAM radio (note I didn't say you have to get licensed, just learn), then any radio other than an FRS/GMRS walkie-talkie or a scanner isn't going to be that useful to you. Learn a little and you won't need people to tell you what radio you need because you'll know.

I think this probably comes down to what your waist size is. If you can comfortably fit 2 pistol and 2 rifle then go for it, but if it's easier with 1 pistol then go for that.

I recommend that you buy the belt first, put it on, and work out what you can reach and what works the best in terms of real estate on your available molle spaces.

Growing up I knew an older pharmacist who hated the switch to metric. Nowadays the medical field has switched entirely to metric for reasons that escape me.
Personally I am an engineer, and we still use American standard units in my field (hydrology and hydraulics).

>in my field
That's the rub. It really doesn't matter which system you use, as long as the people you work with use the same one.
>reasons that escape me
Evidence-based healthcare.
But really, not all of medical has switched over. For instance you still take a lot of vitals in degrees fahrenheit, pounds, inches, etc. Home health you have to give some old lady instructions to take her liquid stuff in teaspoons and tablespoons because she's not driving 30 minutes to the pharmacy to get a medication cup or oral syringes, etc., etc.

>plenty for me
They arent performing the function they were designed for, but sure. Live your truth honey.
>plenty for my larp
Oh your just retarded.
>>
>>48423430
yeah but you can take measurements in any system
I can give you injections in cui not cc
I can give you medication in grains or drachms not in grams
I personally just dont see the advantage of easy conversion between orders of magnitude, which metric offers, as being more worth than the ease of division that standard units offer, being very highly divisible.
That is, if we can agree the units dont really matter, if we all understand what we're saying, then why bother switching?
>>
>>48423518
I just told you, evidence-based healthcare. Even relatively low-level healthcare workers like APRN's publish or at least aggregate.
>>
>>48423551
But why did we stop collecting the data in american standard units and start collecting it in metric?
The metric system is not required for collecting and analyzing data.
>>
>>48423601
C'mon man, you know what "publish" means.
>>
>>48423655
I do, and I know MOST of the medical research done in the mid 20th century was done in the United States.
At the time metrification really took hold in the professional world (to my knowledge) the USA was pretty much doing all the important research.
So why metric not standard? Why did our professionals switch, not euros?
I was young in the mid 20th century, and I was baffled then talking to professionals in the field, and I'm still baffled now.

Generally avoid for larping purposes, lots of reflective elements and bad color issues. And the IR signature is a nogo. The LEAF stuff is leagues better than the civvy stuff in every way possible. It holds mag pouches fine, and the Ronin/Blue Alpha/AWS belt isn't rated for climbing either
>>
Is it viable to throw on your outer belt without the velcro inner belt If you need it right away?
Like, if you go to pull a mag, it won't lift the whole belt or anything?
>>
>>48428585
Yeah, I throw on the outer belt over my parka in the winter and it works fine. So long as you don't have the belt loosey goosey
>>
>>48428543
Yeah I got a few little knick-knacks when I was checking out, dude running CIF that day was new and kept telling me to keep shit saying "must have been my roommate's". Nevermind that I was wearing my wedding ring... I didn't argue with the dude, I was just hoping he'd let me keep some of my Gortex or thermal layers (he didn't). I've kept the TQs in a pouch so I think they are good.
>>
>>48428585
If the outer belt is hook-side it'll scratch up your clothes after a while. If that bothers you just get a pad. HSGI and Wilder Tactical make belt liner pads for this purpose.
>>
>I was just hoping he'd let me keep some of my Gortex or thermal layers
They always take back goretex, but you should have been able to keep silks and waffles. I still have mine lol. I wish I was allowed to keep the fleece but oh well.
Also shout out to Fort Carson CIF having an unsecured back entrance for the loooongest time

But it is a leg loop/personnel retention lanyard anchoring point that’ll actually save your life and all that

I was Marines not Army, they are supposed to take everything that doesn't have a stitched nametape/is tailored. Shit kinda sucks. Meanwhile the airforce gets to keep their parkas and everything, or so scuttlebutt goes.

So does the braided leather belt your aunt bought you when you were 13 - doesn’t mean it’s optimal

What belt can you get for 19 bucks?
I think you're mistaken.
>>
>>48428770
Ah I gotcha. Crayola Corps gotta suck ass. Air Force does not keep their marshmallow suits, but they will wear them when it's 60 degrees out because ????
>t. Army who got stationed on Air Force Bases and was perpetually salty he never got issued a marshmallow jacket

Meanwhile here's the Corps, still rocking our inspector gadget coats circa 1950 and getting blasted for wearing our issued thermal base layers under our cammies on below-freezing days. Fucking hell man, I got out for a reason. Lol.

Because pictures on aliexpress and shit are always sooooo representative of the actual product that arrives

I know other anon's are saying it's not popular anymore, but I still genuinely prefer this older style of belt to the two piece stuff.
My favorite set up is just a second thick belt kept to the first, comfy regular belt on your waist with belt keepers.
That's the setup a lot of cops used to use, and I still think it's maximum comfy.
For exclusively belt stuff anyway, when you have no other gear with you. I didn't read through your reply chain.

Definitely a great deal, go ahead and buy it.
Stop being upset because people choose to not buy from shady chinese knockoff websites, and are willing to pay what a product is worth.
If this works for you, then absolutely buy it--but dont pretend like its the same thong that AWS is producing.

The second video is Eagle, not your chinkshit

I like my Ameriglo's on my g17. I think most people recommend Trijicons.
>>
>>48422585
HCM holsters made mine that is similar to a Safariland for my g17 and it only took a couple of weeks completely custom. Has a button depress strap system.
>>
>>48428585
You can leave the inner belt attached and throw them both over whatever you are wearing. I really don’t understand why so many people have trouble with this. It’s just velcro you don’t have to separate it if you don’t want to.

Consider K2010 (ROKDF pattern) as an alternative, it works better in some environments
