yeah, it's a DH-132b conversion. uses some weird pads i don't know the brand of but they're comfier than stock ACH pads and have a lot of adjustment. real arc rails, and 3 hole shroud, but the helmet cover is just a one tigris cover which is fine. there's no way i was gonna spend 100$ on an ops core helmet cover for a 400$ helmet, and honestly i'm thinking about going coverless anyways. i sorta don't like how it looks when im wearing it, makes the helmet look bigger than it is on my head.

If you like UV5R but it feels flimsy in the hand, grab a UV9R. The connector is far more robust and while not dive rated they are going to do a hell of a lot better outside than a UV5R. Additionally, they are just a lot more solid overall and that bodes well for rolling around on them.

I don't have an issue with the UV9R, but there's not extended battery and I'm already committed to the UV5R because my adapter is from 6-pin NATO to Kenwood 2-pin.

I do have dual comms leads though, so it's a possibility in the future. It just blows that there's no extended battery yet.
>>
>>48408522
really my only hangup on the uv9r is that personally i already have a PTT that connects to a uv5r andthey use different jacks. just would suck to buy another 100$ disco32 when my uv5r is working fine for me right now and they're pretty similar.

Whats going on in Connecticut? I have 3 shipments held up there way past a week from when they should have arrived.
Did a bomb go off or something? Did the airports lose power? Any Connecticut bros have any insight?

SRVV makes a modernized chicom chest rig. Hub City Outdoors makes also modernized chicom rigs with MOLLE (see pic). SSO/SPOSN and SPLAV also make chest rigs that were used by the Russian military - don’t know if modern production is good, though. R-Karbid has some pretty neat looking chest rigs, too. There’s also an AK rig made by Tactical Tailor. Finally, LBT and Blackhawk have universal chest rigs that fit all kinds of mags.

They have a linear scale for paneling when sizing which means they overcompensate in plenty of dimensions making most things fit like shit. It lets them cut down on patterning costs so they can shit out the latest badly thought out products marketed towards people who think they are tradies. I know a "bug out bag" is essentially a boomer meme, but I would like to set up a kit that i could just grab and sustain myself with in the event of some crazy societal breakdown, however unlikely that might be.
I figure it would essentially imitate the typical soldier's ruck, and i was hoping you guys could give me the basic run down for setting up your pack, and which pack to get.

It is but I have to say that it really is almost identical to MARPAT. A USMC unit loaned FROG gear to my Seabee battalion on deployment. I only got a top, and when I wore it with AOR1 pants you really could not tell that they were two different patterns unless you looked really really closely.

>>48414085
Patterns are made out of panels
Poor linear paneling occurs when you apply a even scale to sizing.
i.e if medium is a 1, a small is a 0.75 and a large is a 1.25
So linear scaling occurs when you just increase/decrease the size of all panels by a fixed amount for """sizing""". It is cheap, lazy and why most europoors complain about american clothes fitting like hammered bricks.

Duluth does linear scaling on shit that is mostly marketed and sold to fat people which means that you must be in the Goldilocks zone or you end up with a bunch of baggy shit regardless of it being sized up or down. The correct way to scale panels is to model the panel in 3D like arc and some more higher end companies do, that way you can account for the sizing shift and avoid bulk and waste.
