DSA does have some problems but the fuss about magazines is mostly bullshit. There are so many different dimensional specs of the magazine catch and as the magazine catch spring wears out it tends to present the magazine feedlips lower and lower in the magazine well until eventually you get issues where the bolt will pass over the head of the cartridge. However, if the feed lips are raised relative to the magazine catch you're faced with the possibility that Mark Graham will make videos making fun of you because your mags won't lock in to every receiver easily (feed lips bottoming out against the receiver). The patrician solution is to spread the feed lips a bit, tap them into the receiver a few times until the feedlips conform and they become easy to insert but also provide the highest possible feeding position for the bolt.

I heard the cetme has too powerful a felt recoil compared to other .308 weapons, enough to make it somewhat unpleasant to shoot. Why is this? Is the bolt too heavy, does it move to fast, does it hit the back of the gun too hard, some other reason?
Henlo frens.The buttstock finish is done and I'm happy with how it turned out. Also the rust oleum paint on the end plate is almost a perfect match.

I was able to pick up my M76 receiver from my FFL today. Just waiting on a barrel (hopefully April) before sending it to two rivers.
For the anon that was curious about XCR-M accuracy: I got impatient and took it to the range with the Vortex PST II 1-6 I had on my AR and shot some PPU M80 ball through it. After spending about an hour rezeroing because the dials on this thing fucking suck, I was shooting ~1.5MOA, mostly upward stringing because I'm bad. I'll try and find some heavier match ammo after I get my 1-10x mounted and post better groups.
