I am seeking the Republican nomination for the 2024 presidential race. I believe that the current ideology of the gun rights crowd is a strategy of failure. Defending gun rights, means that you are constantly minimizing the amount of your rights lost. Eventually you will have no right to keep and bear arms.
As president I will go on the offensive. Suppressors and the NFA at large will be a big target for me. Constitutional carry for the nation, is another target.
My measure of effectiveness will be how much ground the anti-gun crowd gives to minimize the restoration of our rights.
In reality suppressors should be completely unregulated. They simply do not work the way the public has been lead to believe they do by modern television and movies.

There is a method to my madness, but essentially I am getting my platform ready, seeking the nomination (so you dont have to write me in), then winning the nomination.

>>47363045
No and no. I am trying to get my best friend to be my VP, he is Jewish. But he is also an outcast of the religion so if anyone will call them out it would be him. I intend to play this smart and focus on mitigation of the anit-Americans rather than calling anyone out.
Look at Trump. He did a great job as POTUS but made himself an easy target for Disinformation campaigns. To succeed I am going to have to anticipate the moves of my enemies before they do. that whole 4d chess thing.

The US wasnt founded so that a ruling class could develop and run things. Are we just to accept that we need "permission" from our betters to hold office? Or are we the people primed to strike out and declare ourselves our own rulers?
I say we are.
I need you, or at least a lot of people to agree with me.
Look at some of these people who have been put up for POTUS nomination over the last few decades. They were the defacto ruling class. Their time is over.

ok, so the gov should be giving us all M16s and suppressors and ammo and we should have to attend free arms training several times a year and we should be instructed to go rogue and overthrow the government if they ever try to take away our freedoms. Sounds good to me

I am well aware of that, I have other stances.
I am going to court AOC and her crowd with the "green new deal" pretty much on the basis of the US needs to revitalize its infrastructure and we may as well do it in a sustainable way, though I would go with hydrogen fuel cells, and refrain from a communist revision. I have found with her crowd, as long as "social" is tacked on to the project and it makes things work better they go with it.
Think of it like this: if you say "I am going to kill the Military Industrial Complex" the MIC tries to kill you, but if you tell them "I think we can get Lockhead and Raytheon to design an build us a hyperloop from NYC to LA" they might actually hop on board. Boeing can make a space elevator so SpaceX can take us to Mars.
I am going to make the changes we want. I am a solid 2A guy, but I want us to seize our birthright and lay down a conquest of the stars. We can keep 500mil on Earth because 100 trillion will be spread across the galaxy.

So instead of a $200 tax no matter what you get, you get to pay...
>$25 can -> $37.50
>$50 can -> $75
>$100 can -> $150
>$200 can -> $300
>$300 can -> $450
>$400 can -> $600
>$500 can -> $750
>$600 can -> $900
Meanwhile in reality
>$200 can -> $400
>$300 can -> $500
>$400 can -> $600
>$500 can -> $700

So you want cheap throwaway shit to be affordable and really good shit unaffordable? The fuck?
>>
>>47370889
profit margins on even the most gucci advanced suppressors are retardedly high. sure inconel and stellite are a bitch and a half to machine, but why bother making them out of that fancy shit to begin with? to make that $200 go as far as it possibly can by buying a thing that will NEVER break so you dont have to pay the 200 bucks ever again. same reason all the multi-cal cans exist, to spread out the use of one can as much as possible to get the most economic use from that flat $200 tax.

OR you can buy 4 pretty good suppressors for $80 each (120 after hypothetical tax) and theyre matched for whatever caliber or as spares or whatever and you come out cheaper because at a basic bitch 50% tax there's no practical reason to buy a 1000 dollar can beyond special use cases or flexing, when a stack of $5 stainless k baffles, $40 inconel sleeve, and $20 titanium tube will work 97% as well as whatever surefire or SiCo puts out.
The one exception may be the OSS flow through baffle thing, i have no idea how many parts that thing is comprised of, let alone how its made
>and then there's the pro gamer move of spending like 8 bucks on a literal handful of thread adapters for a bunch of suppressor shaped things

tldr; economics of the 200 dollar cover charge inflates the market costs because of perceived exclusivity, which manufacturers capitalize on
>>
>>47362426
Incredibly based and red pilled.
>>
>>47362426
>Coming from the guy who will sit there complaining on the internet when they do get taken
>>
>>47371107
You are right on that; I'd say if it capped at $200 it'd make a lot more sense, just because of the "what if" high price cases. It'd be overall better, though, even without that cap.

As for design, don't you want your first baffle or so to be a good metal, something like stainless or titanium so it doesn't get eroded through use? I also saw people using muzzle devices to take the erosion instead, too. Thought I heard something about both on here, but haven't bothered to do research yet. I'd probably get a .22lr can or a 5.56 one as I shoot .22 most often. I'll probably wait half a year or a year to see how shit is going with gun laws before I get a suppressor.

Also, I think a suppressor that looks like the old Maxim design would be cool, even if the inside is modern (which would be great to make it quieter), but I don't think anyone makes that. Makes me want to manufacture my own in that style (IIRC much less wait after applying for stamp), but I have no machine to do it on.

All day. Honestly personal rights should always be expanded when they can (and yes this sadly includes trannies). And there's nothing too unconstitutional about single-payer healthcare and universal education, at least not compared to drug laws and anything involving the ATF, NSA, or EPA.
>>
>>47372707
good advice to be sure, but the system is corrupted so I am going for the throat right off.
>>
>>47362401
No.
You need to be able to walk into your local hardware store , pick up a suppressor and a bag of dog food, pay cash, and leave.

Only thing you should hear the clerk say is " here is your change, have a good day sir'

Search the library of congress for uses of the phrase well regulated. It meant well equipped and well trained, and its opposite was not unregulated but irregular. A regular militia was men with rifles and training, and an irregular militia was a mob of farmers with pitchforks.

>>
>>47371660
yeah, a $200 cap would make sense, but this is gun 'control'. we cant have things that makes sense. the only way a 50% tax goes through is if some chicken neck in a suit sees how expensive suppressors are and thinks 50% tax on a $900 wolverine or 1100 Saker is the best idea ever, and the tax will end up capping *at the low end* so we get fucked and tax stamps start at 200 regardless, and anything over $400 is now taxed 50%

the only solution is for all ATF offices and agents fall into cavernous holes that open up in the ground and be embraced by the unholy everlasting fire they deserve

Wouldn't that increase population at retarded rates? If you're in any of the top 20 high population states, I'd say good luck hunting or getting outdoors or being able to afford a fucking house. Shit like NY would be more common IMO where your choice is pretty much only 1k or higher rent for a shithole you never have hope of getting out of.
>>
>>47372500
there's nothing wrong with universal healthcare and it's frankly retarded that conservatives have let the left "claim" it
>>
>>47372500
Probably. Im only against moat of those things on principal because i dont think its the role of government. Like im solely against state funded healthcare because i dont think its the states role to provide medical assistance. I think subsidizing the medical industry like that is putting a bandaid on a much bigger issue.
Im all for saving the enviroment as well but i think nuclear is the only way to go. Solar and wind are great to supplement the grid but they will never be enough to cover the base load.
