I use a dot of dish soap every week or so. I use to clean it after every few loads with the soap, but I found out that suds were building up inside the hole when I was using it. This affected how effective the lube was and it didn't feel so good.

The thing is, dish soap is so thick, it gets in all the crevices and is very hard to get out.
