>>39787148Yeah, but other countries are kinda size limited.Japan basically has high speed rail through all the major population centers now.Perhaps they'll add a few hundred kilometers to attach Hakodate and Sapporo, but other than that? The maglev track from Tokyo to Osaka? Are they going to do maglev everywhere? China doing the same would still double their network as well.

>>39787148Simplistic view. China's railway lose money like everything else over there. The links to Tibet and other troubled areas are purely political and shouldn't be seen through the lens of high speed rail. It wouldn't get built anywhere else.Fukuoka DOES need to be connected better though, as does Hokkaido and the west coast.

We're going big but not on this threadhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CmwLOgQxIY1000 watching, I remember when the old Kabukicho barely had anything
Does anyone know if there are any streams that capture any part of Cinecity Square (シネシティ広場) in Kabukicho specifically? It's a popular albeit seedy entertainment district for young people at night but not always for the right reasons.I recently became aware of this Twitter account https://twitter.com/kwgp_ which appears to be one guy doing some kind of self-guided charity work to help Kabukicho safe, clean up trash and look after the kids who hang around there at night, some of whom seem to be runaways from home. You can see a huge number of short videos showing them eating and a handful of them cleaning up the square. If anyone can offer extra insight into this, I'd welcome it.This video shows an example of morning aftermath.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJZI2oLrYv0

There's Akiya banks for buying abandoned property. The prices and selection aren't quite as good as they were like 3 years ago. From what I can tell though a lot of municipalities don't list stuff online so you have to go there, and from what I knowfrom my time in rural Japan is that basically everything is abandoned. If you're ambitious you could probably get a good deal. The government even subsidizes repairs in some places.
