With a daily schedule dedicated to learning japanese, you can comprehend a surprising amount of the shounen stuff within a year or so. Seiyuu content, IRL content in general, is a lot harder. There is a lot of references, memes, shorthands, speech patterns and a lot more that are second nature to those who grew up in japan, but will never be something you encounter in textbook/classroom studies. Not to mention that IRL speech is usually faster and less enunciated than anime too, which makes it even more difficult specially for those who's just learning.
