>>21523629Some old stuff to get the thread started. All Kyoto unless stated otherwise. Scanning three new rolls now, but most are family stuff and wont get posted. A few interesting things though.
>>21523667Okay, that is enough for now.
>>21519488Someone posted this link weeks ago.tsuyoshinges.com/archiveDoes anyone know how I can download all his pictures? Jdownloader doesn't work for some reason.
Only a mobile shot so quality is meh
touhou niggers need to fucking hang
>>21531121hoes madI'm going in August, will buy Touhou merch and take tons of pictures when I get there. And you'll still be mad
>>21535799as long as you post them here and make them relevant to the thread I won't be mad anon ;)
>>21536149I totally will, just for you~
some random shit to keep the thread alive
>>21542342>>21542347where's all the garbage and bums? i'm confuse
This is a crop of a 360º panoramic pic I took with the google camera app, as it makes no sense to post the full pic in plain format...
>>21548862*Not regular panoramic, but spherical, my bad
>>21548208>>21548213It's a shame that most Japanese graffiti is still in English
>>21551077too bad it's not in ＦＵＬＬ ＷＩＤＴＨ ＡＬＰＨＡＮＵＭＥＲＩＣ
Anyone knows of some good rooftops in Tokyo?
>>21558026The roof of Shinjuku Isetan Building
>>21559756A shrine is in the same place
>>21529383Where’s that? I’ve been meaning to go to the beach for a while now.
>>21563582Is that really Japan?
Do you guys have any Japanese documentary recommendation with beautiful scenery
>>21544666>no niggers spics or arabo-Indian trash>druggies are arrested and erased from historyThat gets rid of 99% of the homeless.
>>21559756>>21559767It would be really cool if they had an onsen/rotenburo on the roof
>>21568305>no niggers or indians Have you ever been here in Tokyo? You don’t know what you’re talking about.
I miss winter
>>21542347I'm not sure what it is, but there's something about this picture I love.
>>21574047I like it too. I want to get a snack at that 7/11
I love japanese cities so much.
>>21543620Does Japan not have eminent domain powers? I heard there was some serious autism by the land owner that lead to this.
>>21583453Japan has very weak eminent domain laws.
>>21584968That is from Sky Building.I prefer Kyoto myself though.
>>21584992Kyoto actually has a lot of very nice brick buildings.
>>21605804First is Nara I think
>>2159476635.681028139.704119Looks like this photo, like most of the same photographer involved a slight element of trespassing (access to the staircase this was shot from is restricted to residents). How do you do it, friends? How to do get the courage to knowingly commit crimes in the glorious Nippon? Pic related, I shot this not knowing that I was trespassing and I feel bad now.
>>21610739Even more so, how do all these Instagram-faggots manage to get on the roofs of commercial buildings in the heart of Shibuya?
>>21605804>>21610626>>21588220Inami, Toyama (36.561222, 136.970261)>>21588225Himi, Toyama (36.814861, 137.041778)
>>21613687That was fun.35.691858, 139.684929
>>21571408How common are roofs like this in Japan? Do they have some sort of modern type of roof that looks similar that they use even on new buildings? Or do new buildings all have a western look while old buildings are the only ones that look like this?
>>21613717Not to sound like an autistic voyeur but ones like this where you can see people going about their business through windows are the most comfy to me
>>21614088>Do they have some sort of modern type of roof that looks similar that they use even on new buildings? This.
>>21614855If you liked that one, I took another photo that day from a different angle I never posted.
Close to the top of Miyanoura-dake on Yakushima
And the top. Nice view from the highest point of southern Japan. I was the only person there and it was so windy that I had to hold onto my hat or else it wouldve been blown away.
Approaching Nakadake on the Kuju mountains. Its the highest point on mainland Kyushu
Top of Yufu-dake. There was a guy there who drove a radio controlled car all the way to the top. Thats dedication
>>21616764Or this might actually not be the top, but its close. You can see the bus stop from there and the main road connecting Yufuin and Beppu. Pic is the tree under which I put my tent up on the Shidakako campsite between those two cities. Bus services are as infrequent as you'd imagine.
I could keep going all day, but I'll end it with this guy here. Tower of the Sun in Osaka
Any photos of cities down south near the ocean?
>>21618704>cities near the oceanYou mean, like, Tokyo?
>>21583453Not sure about the laws, but japanese society's well known quirks (Resistance to changes, stuborness but often at the same time avoidance of direct conflict) often lead to some retared or disastrous results, but some other times lead to some creative solutions like this one.The highway was done, the building dind't have to be demolished, it also seems that it doesnt affect the other floors of the building as actually the highway doesn't touch the building itself (can confim, I was there, I took the pic), also, the building owner gets a compensation, as the higway has the 2 or 3 floors rented... Instead, if the building had been demolished, they would have had to pay much more...On top of that, you could also say the place is somewhat of a tourist atraction/ interesting sight to say the least. So it's a win/win/win in this case imho
>>21570282I've been to many places besides Tokyo. Besides a couple of obvious american tourists I have never seen any blacks or indian people. Truly heaven
>>21542339Love that suburbia stuff.
Nomizo no Taki, Chiba
>>21640271Funfact: that cave is manmade and 100% artificial
Wonderful thread, thank you guyse
>>21642141So?What more concerns me is how baked that photo has been.
Just my phone but this was from last novemberI was touched very deeply by the mountains. I did not expect that. There was something very familiar yet very new to japan. The way people carry themselves is familiar, but their upbringing is different. Their language is foreign but the inflections of each individual remind me of someone i met before. Maybe korea and japan have a lot more in common than i thought. People looked at me and spoke in japanese, i had to sheepishly wave my hand while saying i dont know japanese. They usually go "ah, you have a japanese face though." Well same right back at you, you have a korean face but where the hell am i?Gay rambling over. Its an abstract kind of feel.
Today’s my birthday, can I request some top notch onsen and rock garden shots?
>>21651859About all I've got I'm afraid
>>21648316 #I've yet to see a stray cat here Picture of Oshima at Toujimbo, Fukui, sorry for phone quality
>>21529437I think I'd kill myself if I had to go to a Jap school. Looks ridiculous and normie-robotic.
>>21675996>NormieNot normie at all by western standards>RoboticWell, welcome to Japan
>>21675996The kids are anything but, though.
>>21675996>I think I'd kill myselfso do they
>>21675996Looks pretty normal to me.

>>21665483Update, Kyoto has a bunch of straysAlso I tried to take a picture in that one spot at Hokan-ji and found this, I hope they post their picture online
It is Gion Festival this month.Haven't gotten this years shot developed, but here is some from last year.
>>21686217Have to resize the rest, can't be bothered.
I was recently in japan for the first time. Took a lot of basic tourist pics.
>>21686287>>21686294>>21686316This one was hard to get edited right. The sky was totally washed out so I tried clearing that up, but made it grainy. Looks cool tho imo.
>>21686217Oh, this is a maiko btw.
>>21686316Osaka Castle is one classy looking castle, despite being shit on the inside.
>>21688312The inside is actually a pretty great museum. But yea, if you go expecting a classic wooden castle you will be a little disappointed.
Been bumping this thread for a whole month now. Running low on images. Ganbatte.
>>21682863interesting shot and very cool Jimny, wish I wasn't stupid enough to sell my hardtop Samurai years ago
>>21717919Surreal thing to wake up to
>>21717919fucking KyoAni studio this morning
>>21717919I'd rather not have this thread end on that note.
I've been bumping for over a month now and my folder has pretty much run dry.See you in the next thread.
Not so fast
This thread is always on life support....
I went to Japan in March, should I post more?
>>21734641Of course, please do.
>>21734670Just a few more then. This was in Uji or near Uji, can't remember. I wish I spent more time there. Couldn't get to do a sit-down matcha, since I was pressed for time. I did bring back some tea, though.
I snuck a few photos at Ando's Chichu Museum. <:o)
Great kaisendon and cool patrons at this sushi spot in Shimokitazawa.
If you find this place in Kyoto, go to it. You won't regret it.
>>21734775Don't, it produces mustard gas.
>>21734794Or don't, but do too. It's all relative.
Guess who and win a prize.
hope you liked
>>21716619I always like reflection shots like this.
