Hey /med/, how do you cope with loneliness? I have "friends" from Uni, I hang out with people, I got o parties, but the connections feel deep to me and superficial. As if I were to stop showing up no one would care, although I receive lots of input about doing activities.
Why does this happen?
>>
>>179322999
Well, all the people there are relatively new for you, and you for them, so it's normal you don't feel your relationship is very strong.
You'll need to give it more time and keep meeting people and eventually you will meet someone you connect better with.

more like thrive in it. remember a few good friends are better than a dozen shady ones. solitude is a blessing.
>>
>>179322999
Since I live with my parents I don't have that problem yet.
Although for the times I had to be alone I had no problems dealing with it.
>>
>>179323156
They are not all new, Ive known some for 3+ years. Haven't spent that much time with them tho.
It really is a more of a feeling of insecurity that evolves into loneliness, because it makes me think it is all temporary.
>>179323194
100% agree, what I really wish I had, is a close knit friend group, just 2-3 buddies we all care about each other. I had that before but I moved out of my previous city and I lost it over time.

well there you have it. Spend time with them, go to activities and eventually you'll start gravitating with people you have the most affinity with. And then bam, friends.
>I lost it over time.
You can still hit them up and see what they're up to.
In any case you'll find that close knit feel again. Just keep stimulating friendships with activities like social links in Persona games.
Meet other people if it doesn't mesh well and ALWAYS go to activities where friends of friends or new people will be as it's potential for new friendships

Democracy is just the political concept that can applied in different ways. The most popular in Europe is social democracy, basically democracy with an emphasis on socialism (welfare system provided by the state, healthcare, free education, etc.)
At least that's how I see it. Some other anon might be more aware of the exact difference.

>have actually achieved things
Well, who actually achieves anything these days?
Everyone who's not blindly confident got imposter syndrome in some ways.
>what's done is done.
it's never over and you know it.
>one of the worst areas of the game.
is it fun in a cringe way?
>>179340731
Why does it make you uncomfortable?
>>179340943
I know what you mean. But still, as hard as it is, it's never over.
>>
>>179340479
I don't really mind the ones in WOTR, but Deal With the Devil in Kingmaker is such bullshit
>Railroads you until the very end, dialogue choices only impact reward
>Linxia is an unlikeable asshole, Darven is a Gary Stu self-insert AND an unlikeable asshole
>You can't avoid this shit, lest you keep getting events over Linxia's weekly spergouts
At least blackwater in WOTR was a cool Numerian dungeon this is just shit, I HATE quests that take agency away from the player and I HATE quests that force you to spill blood over misunderstandings.
>>
>>179341139
Not only it is over, but it's packed, sealed, and has been mailed straight to hell.
>>

I don't know, I haven't turned any job offers down. Anyone who has to engage with the welfare system suffers in the UK though, it's very low in general for a developed country.
>>179341139
>is it fun in a cringe way?
No, it's extremely tedious and difficult. WOTR has that problem in general because everything has ridiculous AC and high resistances/immunities, but that one particular area takes it to an extreme. I just turned the difficulty down until I was done with it.

It's worth playing, and I'm sure it's even better now that it's been patched and all the DLC has been released.

Just don't fuck that spider.
>>
>>179343931
Alright, I'll give it a try then! I heard it's pretty hard to get into the mechanics. Would you recommend BG and PoE?
>Just don't fuck that spider.
I fucked the spider in DOSII and will do again if given the opportunity.

>Would you recommend BG and PoE?
PoE is boring, but it's a very pretty game with a great soundtrack. It doesn't help that you spend the entire game learning about the history of a much more exciting time from the recent past, which makes what you're doing now seem kinda meh in comparison. If you don't like it within the first hour, just drop it, because it slowly declines in the third act.

BG is a classic, you can't really NOT recommend it. It's like someone asking you if they recommend trying croissants when they visit France. Personally, I've never been a huge fan of it, but it holds up well mechanically after all these years.

Save yourselves the time and just play some comfy Grim Dawn. Although the last expansion story is really wack compared to the main story and lore.

Holy shit look at the front cover of this weeks issue of the “BusinessDay” newspaper. Next to the headline there is an image from the ides of March re enactment in Italy. This is the only picture on the front cover. That is weird for a few reasons. Namely because it’s not about business or South Africa. An ominous sign for tomorrow

Found some cool games for this steam sale
>>179344462
Interesting, I might give them a go eventually but I'll focus on the cooler CRPGs first.

At first I thought it was a bit too happy, I kind of expected to end that way and it didn't surprise me, meanwhile the rest of the series surprised me all the time, and I enjoyed not being able to know the next crazy thing the author would show me.
Although after thinking it through I like that after all the effort the characters suffered, they got a happy ending.
