How different would history be if King Glowie got a second term? No 9/11?

>George Bush instead of Slick Willy

Literally nothing would have changed.

It would probably play out the same
>inb4 some vatnik cope about muh Warsaw Pact
HW knew that he had Gorbachev by the balls which is how they forced fully integrating East Germany into a newly-unified Germany, he may not have predicted/expected the collapse of the USSR but like any American politician with a shred of intelligence he would've exploited it in a similar manner to what Clinton and successive presidents did

I would say W. Not coming after Billdawg is pretty gargantuan
>>
>>13986802
He would have got a turn eventually
>>
>>13986805
Yeah but without the momentum of 9/11 to architect a war with Powell though

People forget that as bad as Clinton was, he was a Dove compared to H Bush, Reagan, and Bob Dole.

Vatniks live in bizarro land where if the GOP elects a new president than Russia’s interests will go unopposed. If anything Trump would’ve brought soldiers openly into Ukraine by now

Dole is way more nixonian and soft on foreign policy than Reagan and Bush

W never becomes President in this timeline. If his dad wins in 1992 then he never feels the need to step into presidential politics and avenge his father's loss. Jeb was always the favoured Bush son and will now become the designated heir, perhaps he wins Florida in 1994 this time.

I think in this timeline Al Gore runs and wins in 1996. McCain is the Republican candidate in 2000 but loses to Gore. 9/11 and Afghanistan probably still happen, maybe not in the same years though. Gore doesn't go into Iraq.

Jeb Bush runs and wins in 2004. Whether he gets a second term depends on if the 2008 financial crash happens in this timeline. Unlike W, Jeb won't have the same obsession with "finishing his dad's job" in Iraq, but his foreign policy hawkishness might lead him into a conflict with either Iraq or Iran regardless. But maybe he would just focus on Afghanistan and fighting Al Qaeda.

As Bill was never POTUS in this timeline, Hillary is completely irrelevant and never gets into politics.
