Many people seethe at these "simplified language" translations of the Bible, but look at this: it's just beautiful.

The King Shit version doesn't even reflect the original meaning of the Hebrew text (baby babbling).

Honestly it's sad that a lot of people think of the bible as some short of holy spellbook of ancient language. It detaches them from the actual message of it and prohibits a lot of people from actually thinking and applying what it teaches

The KJV is poetic and inspiring. You read it and feel profound. You don't feel this with the message Bible.

It's placebo because

>old thing good

Your Bible doesn't sound majestic at all. It just sounds like some random annoying person.
>>
>>13524047
Who told you the Bible is "majestic"? Most of the Bible is terrible literature and the New Testament is written in bottom-of-the-barrel dog Greek.
>>
>>13524059
And the King James translated it into the King's English. It made the Bible even more into a literary masterpiece.

Do you really care about that? It seems bizarre to expect that a text that is, above all, ment to communicate, needs ornate writing and elder words like some short of spellbook. Even more so when upon that message depends eternal life or eternal damnation
>>
>>13524133
Because if it doesn't sound majestic I don't want to listen to it. KJV appeals to me and makes me want to read it.
>>
>>13524136
Then the message is pointless. You might as well be reading 40k lore
>>
>>13523320
Look, the KJV has artistic value on its own. You can edit a cartoon face on whatever opinion you want, you can translate the bible in hawaian pidgin or whatever. but the KJV will always have more literary merit than da jesus book.

The Bible is not a self help book it's literally a holy text from God. You're the one who missed the point.

Most of the Bible is written in very plain language. You are missing the point, not him, when you want a translator to make up something "majestic" so that you don't get bored.

>arcane language is more majestic
There is more majesty in understanding the Truth

Quem docebit scientiam? et quem intelligere faciet auditum? Ablactatos a lacte, avulsos ab uberibus.

Quia manda, remanda; manda, remanda; exspecta, reexspecta; exspecta, reexspecta; modicum ibi, modicum ibi.

Another shitty translation that doesn't take into account the fact that the Hebrew original has literal dadadadadadas and googoogagas all over the text. lmao
>>
>>13524743
It is literal faith healing scam artistry written by a Jew from Tarsus to justify his cult. And you were gullible enough to fall for it.
