> I was hoping people would ask for something more creative then thick women
This thread is unironically a great illustration of how/why AI won't really threaten creative artists...not because of technical abilities but because even when presented with what amounts to a magic box that churns out anything you ask for, people are more interested in testing it to confirm their biases against it on their own narrow terms, or if they do try to input some fanciful prompt, the thinking behind it is so shallow and lazy that it becomes readily apparent when the magic box spits out exactly what they asked for.
As always, the ability to come up with a unique concept, to know whether it needs to be more or less defined/restrictive and the ability to assess preliminary realizations and either accept them or develop them further will be what separates the people with creative vision from the pedestrian button pushers.

>Also 90%+ of it will be used for porn.

One hundred percent. If the public ever gets access to good image generating ai like this the porn industry will be changed from the ground up. I'm honestly kind of scared as to what coomers will come up with once this stuff gets mainstream.

>I'm honestly kind of scared as to what coomers will come up with once this stuff gets mainstream.
Still follows the same principle, imaginative people already serve practically any niche you can think of (try it if you dare) and the rest of it is mind numbing un-creative and derivative.
It's kind of like the popular sci-fi meme of worrying about AI robots taking over and unleashing previously inconceivable horrors on humanity- when IRL people have already conceived of those horrors and just can't make them happen, and any two fertile retards can (and have) create offspring with the potential to foment worldwide havoc and suffering without anything even remotely likecAI or robots, or even computers.
"One estimate is that about 11% of the world's population was killed either during or immediately after the Mongol invasions (around 37.75–60 million people in Eurasia). If the calculations are accurate, the events would be the deadliest acts of mass killings in human history. "

Have you gotten to experiment with the inpainting feature at all yet? I'm curious how well it can imitate an existing artstyle if you try to place/replace something in an existing piece of art. For something easy to test, what about replacing the head of the Mona Lisa with something else? Otherwise I'm interested in anything you think of as long as it's an inpainting test.

I'm also curious if inpainting can be used for the equivalent of an artstyle transfer, but I'll leave that question for another time.

It can replicate art quiet well, some art needs to be worded a bit different ex: instead of saying "a love scene spray painted on a wall in black" I would need to say "a love scene spraypainted on a wall in black using stencils by Banksy". I also very much like the Andy Warhol style art, genuinely looks like something he could have made. I guess how well it is able to recreate a style depends on how unique it is, Andy Warhol is instantly recognizable but a more unknown artist is going to have a rough time. Jellyfish in the style of Andy Warhol for example:

I'm curious how DALL-E compares to dedicated face-swapping models when it comes to replacement, considering I've seen some really impressive faces generated so far but that's always been entirely independent of an original source image, so I have no idea how well it can or can't pick up environmental lighting and other features.

Any chance you could try a basic face swap using the replacement feature and show the before/after? Just pick any two well-known celebrities like a Nic Cage or a Danny DeVito, that should be enough to see how well it holds up.

>wannabe mysterious stuff

>>
>>432041
It just doesn't do well with that type of stuff? It just spits out random shit. Don't know why people don't realize it needs something to work with to create images.

Thanks. Did that one with a guided diffusion model a while ago and got a much more surreal result. Dall-e 2 seems to lean towards generating close-ups of objects.
