The Detour on Teletoon's brand identity from 2007-2009https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHvILfLIwGAhttps://www.behance.net/gallery/3659431/DeTour-on-Teletoon-Network-ReBrand
despite being from 2011 and 2012, Pacthesis' otome games really fit this style
>>4266012011 and 2012 and maybe 2013 I still consider to be apart of the 2000s
>>4266022015 was around the time I really felt a shift to the 2010s, and the 2016 cemented it
>>426603the hat of every crackhead's 14 year old illegitimate son who collects tech decks>>426602>>426606personally, 2011-2013 felt like its own distinct cultural era when compared to 2010 and 2014 on
I made this based off this vidhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUBryewT2IUWindows vista kinda fits this style so I think it's alright.
>>426624Looks great.Vista and 7 have god tier artstyles
>>4266122014 (for me) was when shit starts getting real like race riots, ebola, and i remember decent movies from that year tho but that's what i've really remember the most. i would love to live back into the early 10's and even far into 2007 if i were to have a time machine.

While this was made in 2016, The interior still has that 2000s Frutiger Aero futurism lookhttps://www.designweek.co.uk/issues/14-20-march-2016/is-it-time-to-completely-redesign-commercial-aircraft/
>>426692anyone who uses y2kshitter faggot terms like "mcbling" or "frutiger aero" as if they were legitate design trends should be executed by firing squad
>>426712*legitimate design terms
>>426712I like using those terms because they can bring attention to a specific design aesthetic and make it easier to find things in a similar style
>>426573wordle looking ass
>>426712Seems like it bothers you
Remember when urban vinyl was becoming mainstream?
>>426510http://www.garagegames.com/products/torque-3d/overview/overviewThe Torque 3D engine web page looks like a time capsule of gaming trends of 2008. Its cool that its completely free to work with and alter.
>>426911Oh shit. Is that the same engine used for Blockland?
>>426914>blocklandyou just unlocked hidden memories i locked away ages ago
>>426914I believe so.
One of the biggest missed opportunities in gaming history. If only Sony and game devs actually gave a shit about it
>>427139don't even get me started
>>427139I still think that the PSP was about a decade ahead of its time. The amount of things you could do on this device in a pre-smartphone era was staggering. XMB wasn't great, but it was certainly iconic.
>>427150Even today the screen looks fantastic
>>427139>>427150Honestly, handhelds in general were really good. I didn't care about video game console sthe same way after they fell off, and the wii u and switch didn't do it for me.
>>427150Ya bb i would thumb that joystick 4 hrs <3
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Hc1i26epmEhttps://danferguson.com/general-motors-online-campaign-for-the-chevy-cobaltI miss when car manufacturers tried to make their shitboxes like "hip" and "urban"

There’s a Shaun White game for the Wii (the Road Trip one) that I especially love the artstyle of. There was some great concept art you could unlock ingame but I’ve yet to find any online
>>427432Shit, I’m genuinely kinda pissed. You could unlock ‘mementos’ throughout the game that were fun little bits of concept art but I cant find anything about them online. Cant even find a let’s play that includes them, all I’m finding is the box art and some promo screencaps. Shit. I’ll see if /wsr/ can help out.
>>427433I’m talking about SWS: Road Trip, specifically, I had no idea there were any sequels until today. Guess this is where I’m spending my autism today.
>>427313Me:>Pls change colorMe when it changes color:>Oh my goodness!
>>426549i just bought this watch cuz it gave me 2000s vibes
>>427203the nintendo switch just isnt as good as the (3)ds
buying few droplets of extremely expensive HP printer ink at a kiosk for 60 dollar pricetag printer scanner combo is peak mid to late 2000s consumerism
>>427494I wish i can set up Windows 10 like this, its so damn cool, nowadays UI are so damn lifeless
>>427150I missed the psp like you wouldn't believe. I had the OG one back in 2006 I loved it unlike any other console or handheld. It got me into modding and cracking, opening up a new world to me at the time. I bought a used one like 2 years ago as I missed it and had no feelings at all. Guess I'm just a depressed adult now and missed the excitement I had back then, not actually the device.. Good device tho.
I wish transparent glass tech took offhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YEbretrjgh4
>>426511>>427377For some reason, a ton of 90s-00s era video game ads centered on sex
>>427753It was from the "sex sells"-era before the rise of third wave feminism and PC culture forcing people to restrain themselves
>>427754iPod parody PIF from THINK!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzqowWxmQzc

>>428233I'm working on a website that's meant to mimic windows 98https://nyannekosugargirls.webflow.io/1998
>>428197>>428233>>428287very nice but I think this is more late 90s/early 2000s than mid-to-late 2000s
>>427644There's a tool called WindowBlinds that lets you do that
>>428287Windows 93 exists. This is an abomination.
>>428306You're comparing a high effort recreation to a fun fan site made for a bizarre online story.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcHKOC64KnECame out in 2002 but I think it still counts
design philosophy over time as I see it1960s "look at all this new technology, surely the future will be amazing, let's try to predict it"1970s "let's put technology on the backburner and focus on ourselves for a minute, everything we make should be brown and yellow"1980s "oh yeah technology, computers are really cool, let's focus on that"1990s "we need as many eyes on us as possible. bright colors, visual noise, be fun, be quirky, be cool, appeal to teenagers"2000s "those teenagers grew up so now we want to look mature, finally we have the internet, we live in the future we always dreamed about"2010s "streamline everything and make it as simple and accessible as possible until the product suffers"2000s are an interesting time to me because everyone was trying to sell their own idea of the future but nobody had enough experience to refine any of it, which makes it clunky and full of soul at the same time
>>427716Pretty gay for me to say this but I want to give you a hug Anon and let you know that the best thing you can do is get excited about new things. Don't try and re-create the past. If you do you have to be prepared to see it with adult eyes.

>>426510Everything here is so reminiscent of sleek corporate garbage. No wonder Apple took over the world.
>>429611Nah, it was actually good design. Even Apple had soul back then.
>>429596The furfag that runs sudomemo is making a proper flipnote archive
I'm nostalgic for that 2000s anime style

>>427644I will let you know if I find a way to work it out.
reposting from a previous threadhttp://www.ivibes.org/
what do you call this sort of designs with the circles/bull's-eyes and the patterns and textures and shit?
>>430372pirate-ps-cs2-and-download-vector-grunge-splatter-geometric-brushes-zip-from-deviantart-circa-2006-core.PSDi'd probably call it an abstract geometric collage or something. it feels weird 'having' to give name to these things.
Hatena also had an online MMO around 2007-2010 called Hatena World
I don't care what you say, but I love the artstyle of JRPGs from this era.
>>430710Honestly, I'm probably the only person on the planet who likes no more heroes: heroes paradise's style. Not more than the original but still
>>430713I take it over No More Heroes 3's shiny plastic Unreal Engine look, that's for sure.
>>430835>>430836>>430837fuck, I'd forgotten about these fellas
>>429871That shit dominated XP/Vista wallpapers. Went hand in hand imo and I liked it.

>>429455It's so hilarious to me that to this day our primary competitor makes half their stuff in this exact style. Out here in 2022 making and selling the equivalent of mid/late-2000's forum signature graphics.
I love the scene style and I'm tired of saying otherwise
