In this fhread, we post our projects and ask if they have a soul.
>>409569What's this for?
>>409567i dont like>>409568i like
>>409572local streetwear shop
>>409571This is for acupuncture technology webshop. Still in the makings, just throwing ideas around.
>>409567what are the letters? PUKU?wh is the second U like a J? why do you have BIG hanzi? how is that related?i just saw the webaddress, the 大 is an A? makes no sense. perhaps few poles know chinese or japanese, but it is weird to me.on a design sense, the cross bar of the 大 feels unbalanced lower than the top of the P, i don't like that.>>409568fiverr>>409569font i get if it's streetwear, the globohomo art hipster character is, imo, wack. alos looks gay, which might be what you have been commissioned to do.
>>409595The first one is a much stronger concept. The logotype is versatile and unique. I do like the second one but I would consider not showing them options as clients tend to go with the weakest one.>>409594This is also very strong. Clothing was the first thing I thought of when I saw it. Window graphics will look well so you should definitely show them a mock up of the artwork in-situ.>>409599>every vector character I see is globohomo
>>409569I can't read the font, anon. I see S ... no clue what this one is ... T ... is that an O or a D? I'm not sure ... and then another S.The S is the only good one, the T is too wide. The O/D is okay, but the second "letter" is absolute, unreadable shit.
I don't know shit about graphic design and made this on Paint.net
>>409607kek. best post ive seen on /gd/t. old freight head
>>409569the character looks very gay
>>409656/gd/ is easy brother
>>409829kinda itlike CHINESE BAZZARR
>>409648comfy af like GeneRally.exe good job
>>409827Where did you get the manequine photo from?
>>409567I really like it but it’s Hard to tell what it says if you don’t already know
>>409648I love it. Like the other anon said very comfy. Reminds me of everything cool about racing like super clean garages, the soundtrack to Wave Race 64 and the song Jessica by Allman Brothers I think. Like a Saturday at the races.
If the company itself doesn't have soul, then its logo won't either. But it helps to have a soulful logo.
>>409833>>409860Thank you. The name was inspired by Mato Kuroi and Yomi Takanashi from Black Rock Shooter. That explains the checkered pattern (which is an essential part of Black Rock Shooter's design language)
>>409850nigga you stupid>>409648Thad paint.net poster
>>409849love the glow. perfectly subtle
>>409829I really like this, just a thought, if youre trying to be make this very on the nose it's great as it is but if you're trying to make it just a teansy bit subtle maybe something like>We put the "brain" in washing
I finished my first wallpaper today
>>410107what the fuck even is this? Please go watch even just one youtube video about design.
>>409929your screen printer's gonna tell you no lol
>>410108>Please go watch even just one youtube video about design.what does that even mean lol
>>410107>>410113What did he mean by this?
>>409616>every vector character I see is globohomo*is shit
>>409567ok, first time posting on gd so go easy on me plus i'm on my 2nd week of learning to use blender to make my new album art. Does it have a soul though?
no education, just getting started is this any good? what should i change
>>409827nice one Polishbro
>>410274Nice colours. Is Blender easy to use?I've been meaning to learn 3d modelling.>>410286Nice colour and composition.
>>410286looks nice, but more like book cover than poster.
I discovered stock, and im spending 15-30min daily on some quick composites.
>>410295it's not intuitive to use but after binging some tutorials it's pretty fun and addictive. I highly recommend it especially since the program itself is free.
>>409827gives me akira vibes. good tone.
>>409830>>409926>>409930Thanks fellas. I am trying to make it very on the nose. Although, I am not sure what to do about the empty space at the bottom of the red arrow. Any suggestions? I might flip it and place it on the right. This would let me make CONTROL a little bigger and also curve down the arrow. But I might also just keep it how it is and draw some accent lines on it haha
>>410295>>410296thank you so much, whats lacking or how can i make it more poster-ish?this is a newer version ive been workin on
Been learning Photoshop in a week. Decide to make podcast cover as starter because it's pretty easy.
>>410297that looks sick. you got more like that?
>>410352 clean up the cutout of the chad and then add a white stroke around it.I would also either fill the top space completely with the text, or bring the headphones icon up to fill in the space on the top right corner.then I'd put icons of what apps people can listen on down in the gray area
>>410372>>410297some space dust
>>410324this one looks rad as fuck >>410297>>410372>>410403this is another one
>>410403Whats the secret to making an image like that with lines of varying widths?
>>410406linear halftoninglove what it brings to the images.
>>410399Thanks, mate. I will try my best
>>410406Take an image in Photoshop. The higher the resolution the better.Image/Mode/Greyscale. - adjust contrast here - you want a lot of it.Image/Mode/Bitmap-leave the resolution alone-choose "Halftone screen"In the next dialog- For frequency, use a small number, like 2 LPI- Set Angle for 0 for horizontal lines- choose "Line"Done. Darker = thicker lines - thus the contrast adjust. You might have to try it a couple times to get the exact look you want.Next, convert the file back to RGB. Now you can use the image as an overlay, and set it to something like Darken or Screen to use the white in the image as transparency, or magic wand/Select Similar all the white out. You can do a cool "crosshatching" effect by making a round gradient from black to white, and applying this to it. Al you have to do is vary the size of the source image and the line frequency to add more lines, or make fewer. You can use any shape, really, and play with the gradient, or use Gaussian Bur.
>>410399>>410453I added the strokes, move the headphone into top right, and add Spotify logo in bottom left. My problem is that I can't make smooth cutout of the Chad, let alone make the smooth strokes.
>>410457Do you have the selection of the chad saved?
>>410457How are you cutting the image out? If you're not using a layer mask - that's what you need to learn.
>>410459I'm not sure I saved that>>410461Magic wand tool. Sometimes when I'm too lazy, I just upload it into background remover website
>>410468You're doing it wrong. Learn to use layer masks. It's not hard. Also, when you use the magic wand, or make any selection, you can turn it into a layer mask by clicking on the layer mask icon on the layers palette. https://www.photoshopessentials.com/basics/understanding-photoshop-layer-masks/
>>410478Will try it. Thanks man
>>410457Looks a lot better! The only thing I can think of (aside from a cleaner cut out of Chad), is to make the spotify logo bigger to take up more of the space; Similar to what you did with the headphones. You seem to have the basic layout done well though. headphones show its an audio format, along with spotify, chad is hosting this, as he is shown on the cover, and we know it is something about weight lifting, as the picture in the background indicates. with the background and the person in the foreground being able to be swapped out, you could easily make a podcast cover starring Chad's wife about cardio or something. Nice work!Like >>410478 >>410461 said, use how to use layer masks, I like to use pen tool and the paths window alongside a layer mask. I have full control over what i want and dont want to be seen.Keep it up!
>>410115it means he is saying you are as dumb as a dodo
>>410456Thanks for the tip! Here is something I did in 10 minutes after fooling around with the settings. I think the frequency I set it to was 4 or 6
>>410527Looks good - play with the settings, you can get some really cool effects with it.
>>410576not liking the font rest is great
>>410584thanks, how about this one
>>410576>>410594These are great! what's the story here with the monkies? where are the images sourced from and what are they for? Love the colors and the banana boys
>>410595thank you! i just got the images from google and i made them for practice
here is an update to >>409829Thoughts?
I'm no Graphic Designer, but I do have a degree in IllustrationMy Layout teacher wasn't so good, so my entire generation got fucked up. (Every exam must be presented as if we knew GD) >tl;dr Need advice or critique on my Commission Sheet
>>410286What did you do to get the subtle grain/noise on the background. Really like the way this came out. Good choice of font too.
>>410621Updated version Advice or Critics still welcomed!
>>410625Not the guy who made it, but "Add Noise" filter. Make a file at the dimensions you need, make it greyscale, fill it with 50% grey, then apply Add Noise, and save it. Then import it into your project, and add a layer mask for the fade, and use a layer mode like Overlay or Screen. I have a folder of noise files, I used them all the time, I use a 2% noise layer to blend edits into a photo that has film grain.
>>410621It's too busy. Drop 1/4 of the content, let the elements breathe - it's called 'white space", you need some. Also, consider not making the whole thing a grid.
>>410628How about this >>410626 ?
>>410629Yes, apply what i said to that. It's too cluttered and claustrophobic.
>>410630Adding on - you're linking to social media accounts. That's the point of this. You just need a taste to get them interested, and then go to your instagram or whatever, where you can show the range of your work. You're trying to do too much in too small of a space. Put a couple of your best items on it, and make your links much, much bigger.Think about it. If Levis has a billboard ad, do they put everything they sell on it?
>>410619What game are you playing, Anon?
>>410514>>410478Alright, learnt how to use layer mask from the link above and other sources.I tried my best to make the smoothest cut with layer mask, but I can't. Regardless the fact that layer mask gave me a freedom to select which part I want to cut or not. The stroke still not align perfectly with the Chad's body. There's still a sharp strokes that would ruin the aesthetic. And I begin to think that layer mask is just a meme. What should I do?
>>410646Just realize a weird cut in his ear. Pardon my retardation, will fix it ASAP
>>410646>>410647New revision. Fix his weird ear cut problem and fixed some janky strokes near his eyebrows.
>>410627Thanks for the tips anon
>>410648horrible>>410626other guy is right its too busy >>410599bad
>>410665obvious bait is obvious. Ignore this mongoloid
>>410648Better. The stroke around his head is still rough, but you're learning.
>>410646Not a meme. Layer masks are used by all professionals to mask out objects, you're just learning. One thing to play with, is to smooth out the mask. If you click on the mask on the layer, you can edit it - use blur, painting tools, etc. You can feather the layer mask, as well: Or click on Q, and drop into quick mask mode, and edit the mask there.https://www.photoshopessentials.com/basics/photoshop-layer-masks-advanced-tips-and-tricks/Or, do the same, by control-clicking on the layer mask, which will convert the mask into a selection. Then use Select/Modify and either Smooth or Feather to clean up the edges of the selection, then re-apply that to the layer mask. Or, if you want even more accuracy, with the selection from the quick mask, go to the Paths palette and from the pull down menu, choose "create working path", and now you have a vector path to clean it up with. (Even export the paths to illustrator for complex objects) Double click the working path on the palette to a named path, and now you can edit it all you want - when you have it how you want, choose "Make selection" from the Paths dropdown menu, and it will make a selection, which you can then apply to the image. This is a good way to save selections without applying them. Masking is practically an art form of it's own, I've been doing it for years. It's going to take effort to learn, so don't just dismiss it as a meme when you've barely dipped your toes into the water.
Technically the second thing I’ve ever made in Photoshop.
>>410696the idea seems nice, but I would try to get better resolution image for the basket. Also try feathering edges of the that figure.
>>410792Thanks Anon, I’ll post a couple more pictures I’ve done later tonite>>410800I like the black and yellow and your layout with the car and anime girls
>>410802I don't go to school so I have no idea how good or bad any of my pictures are in comparison
>>410804Have one more just for fun.
I finally finished the tarot deck I've been working on; do any of these have a soul?
>>410821I like these Anon. Do you practice Tarot readings or do you just think it's cool?
>>410824I have never practiced before, but in order to make these cards I had to learn how to practice, so now I think I could probably pull a reading off. Thank you!
>>410821They remind me of that gay as fuck soulless corporate illustration fad that is pervading the internet: >>398948Would not buy even as a joke.
>>410844They don't look anything alike.wtf are you talking about?
>>410297That looks really good, I love the style. Do you know any artists with a similar style? Or if it has a specific name? What do you mean by "stock" and "composites"?
>>410688Hello, sorry for the late reply.I think you're right. I'm just learning and not utilize the full potential of PS yet. Thank you for the heads up.
>>410821Very bad very soulless
just finished this bad boy, dont hate me just because I used eye candy >>410800dope, i gotta start playing around with plastic textures>>410286I like this one, its nice and calming
>>409827That piece you added to the A makes it so much clearer to read as an A. Looks very nice
im trying this style, is it well done? i learn everything with youtube
>>411026>skyrim dragon languagemade me laugh for some reason, good job.
>>410625hey my computer died for a week so sorry for the late reply, i use photoshop and its pretty simple, just use the noise filter a couple of times, monochromatic and uniform not gaussian, then add blur filter once. Repeat the process til u like it
>>410800really cool, what this style called?
I absolutely suck at freehand drawing, but I like to think I'm fairly competent using Illustrator, so I decided to give a shot at drawing picrelated using said software...Is it any good? I know it is far from perfect, so can anyone give me any tips to make it better? Thanks in advance!
>>409567made this on gimp a long time ago
>>411427This isnt good
This dude has SOUL~http://instagram.com/trashtechno
>>409567What you're looking for is a readable english logo but distinct enough to be asian in design. Did the client already approved this?
>>410631>>410629Yeah, separate them to three different posts
>>410803You could blur out be accepted, as if to say you want disappear within the crowd. Stay entertained can be a script font
>>410806What am I looking at?
>>410821Art deco style + globohomo?
finished up this gig poster the other day, pretty happy with it.Used to do quite a few for mates back in the UK but the event industry back there hasn't really existed for over a year now lol
>>411481I just kind of played with whatever I felt like without any real consistency.
>>409567>>409827well done Op. Last month even I worked on similar (Acupuncture) project , I just randomly picked the needle from freepik and made it into logo, somehow client liked it. Yours is very -very good.>>410274Pretty good, i think you should need to adjust contrast.>>410286Book Cover?>>410403>>410456Thanks Good anon, great tutorial, You the reason i stick to /gd . Keep it Up.>>410457Dont forget to add color-lookup after finishing all your cleanUp.>>410527Well done man. Look out for larrycarlson on ig. Thats where you get more ideas.>>410576>>410594Nice.>>410800Great work Anon.>>410821For some reason , its soul less. I cant point out.Anons? im doing freelance from past 5 years (mostly branding /website/social network). But this past year things slowed down, so i started practicing t-shirt art. So everyday for 2-3 hrs Im doing some random design to progress in the way. Hope some day ill be good enough to hand draw stuff and print it to make cash.

>>410456Work Gr8 M8. 8/8 .
>>410286I live in Barcelona and I can assure you this is the kind of street poster you'd see announcing big concerts or indie festivals. It's nice, well done!
>Just an outsider passing byHow do you guys make those posters? With Illustrator?
working on a simple logo requirement from the client is the wrapped text>>412156thank you so much
ill be posting more versions just for the lulz
>>409567Here’s a really abstract piece I did. Kind of pseudo y2k/metalheart I suppose.
>>412178>>412185>>412186did you make these shapes, if so how? or are they from a vector pack? no shamei like the 1st 2, whats the typeface? character in the final 1 is illegible K = H, E=C & D=O=D
>>412213thank you, yea these are from different vector packs. First font is agrandir variable bold wide, second is Magmatic bold ultra expanded
>>411292It's decent. Not great, not horrible.
>>412210looks like a mess and is hard to read>>412211This is really pretty however
>>412226Thanks, yeah I kind of went nuts on the first one. I don't think I'll be going that extreme again.
last one and prolly final i post here, went full photocopy effect or at least tried totext and shapes on illustrator, effects on photoshop
>>412213If you want to make these yourself:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnpjofGTvaF-IQX9iiDKiswNo shame in downloading packs all the same. Depends on how much you value your own time.Do you spend the time to make your own?Or do you just pay the 10 bucks for the pack and save yourself the trouble?
Tell me I still have a soul, bros. I dont care if you are lying.
>>412236It’s gay hipster shit— I think you know that— but it has personality and a clear creative vision. I don’t think it’s soulless at all.
>>412244thanks, and is actually and literally hipster since is for a fleamarket of funny smelling people, so yeah, hispsters.
>>412243I would say if you're going to do gimmicky glitch stuff with your text don't make it a smaller, spaced away, shoved into the corner element of an otherwise clean and minimal composition.
final post from this one, trying to perfect that photocopy effect. i know the font is not most legible but for some reason im really attracted to it >>412235thanks for the link, i subscribed and ill check their content, yeah i just download vector packs, im just starting to learn illustrator
>>410858It’s hard to distinguish the shoe from the mountains, “you gotta make it pop” off the bg
>>412529That outline is too thick but yeah you're right, shouldn't be too thin either.
made this one :^)
>>409569Nawet sztos byczqu.
working on this one still missin loads of info
>>409567This is an album cover i'm working on>>409569really nice font, looks great>>409929really great subject matter>>410286i like the noise filter, the colors remind me of sweden and that one guy was right it looks like more of a book cover
no idea what i'm doing
v2, its looking pretty busy right now but whatever >>412652make the WBC shadow a but more subtle, you might not need the gray stroke, drop shadow might be enough imo>>412628how does it look without the black strokes?
the end result of my buddy and I having a laff while out riding bicycles.
>>412574How do you make that half-circle at the top w/ the text in it?
idk if this is the right board or whatever but ive been working on some stuff and was looking for feedback on composition and colours and stuff like that
>>412211Yeah, this one is great.
>>409567>AKUPUnkture>APUKUAs a customer I'd mix it up and always go to www.AKUPU.pl
>>410274Is the sky supposed to be the night sky? You've got sone severe texture streching in the hills back there. Genereally, the hills lack detail. And if that is supposed to be water, you should look for a better solution than a noise texture with distortion turned up. Doesn't look liquid. Some more exciting and localized lighting could save this entire thing, because the scene itself is very interesting looking, and the shapes are a very cool idea.Good on you for learning. Definitely not bad for two weeks in. Keep it up, proud of you!
>>411289Acid graphics. Big fad right now.
>>410821Love the style
>>411488It’s missing the x factor, maybe just the font choice or needs a little bit of that forum signature energy
>>412247>>412236These are really interesting and could be quite a hit the mark except for the fonts, if you just wrote them out by hand (obviously can use stock fonts for reference) and gave them their unique direction and weights (like the purple girls hair could use some bending) I would then use a slight 3D pop out and shadows/glows (posterized if necessary)Otherwise I hope you keep progressing particularly in achieving greater perspective to your flat subject style (more eye popping perhaps with gentle embossing) giving the patterns a depth and space, transcending the mere cutout style Which don’t get me wrong has quaint appeal and lands just fine on some of these (perhaps worst of all on the blue skinned girl)
>>412662It becomes a little difficult to discern the individual shapes
Let me know what you guys think.Framing company logo I did
>>411026Looks good. Bet you could market to soundcloud rappers
>>413118pretty neat. The hand is still somewhat out of place, I would try changing the white tv/stand to a grey and dithering that as well.
>>413119This ones nice. Maybe some text or something else to replace the dithered black-bar on top.
For a satire magazine
I made this with no thought on Paint.Net
>>413509i like the feeling of space here
>>409568the kerning makes me so fucking angryAP VK Vfuck man, change it immediately or else
>>413608low contrast on the black text w the blue bgand probably get a transparent version of the logo
>>413608Black on that dark a value of blue is very hard to read. Use a different body font. I don't care if you're just being contrarian not using a serif face, or clueless about typesetting, but the font you chose is hard to read. At minimum kern it out a bit. There's a lot of mistakes here, like having bleeding text (BIG no-no in magazine printing), or splitting the headline across the binding, where it will be hard to read, and the whatever it is you're trying to do with the offset stacked boxes on the lower left hand side, that has nothing to do with the layout. I mean, it looks like what it is, a stab at page layout from someone with no experience in it. If I were hiring someone for page layout, you'd be cut from the list immediately. Also, why are you designing a magazine? It's an almost dead medium.
>>409567I made some flyers for practice today, A person, a place and a thing. Thoughts?
>>413666>a stab at page layout from someone with no experience in it.Ya got me. Thanks for the feedback, it's not for any real magazine just a side project of mine. No intention to print anything, looking to make stuff that's magazine-like but suited more for viewing on image-boards/social media.
>>413015>>413573looks fucking dope>>413682dude weed lol
this is my first metalheart render, idk what graphic design with a soul is.
Trying to improve my portofolios. I'm more interested with social media ads. Any suggestion?
>>413932You're coloring inside the lines. It's boring. Let the text break the borders. The color scheme doesn't make sense for the photo. Color-picking his shirt would be better. If your goal is to convey stability, strength and masculinity, I'd reconsider the diagonal text. Why would I want my logo on a diagonal? Besides, something like this should be made after you know what the logo looks like so you don't do something stupid that doesn't match the brand's style.
>>413967i like the backgroundid not use the drop shadow, just pick a serif font you like and go with iti was bored so i made a version too
>>414011looks really good!how do you do that paper effect? I have paper texture jpgs but none are that good.

>>414011>>414089Oh and how do you make the letters look incrusted in the paper? I don't know how to describe the effect I'm referring to but pic related is what it does to me. You can see the letters are all like, straight, it looks weird.

>>414177its done i think
>>414183Looks awesome. How did you the metal?
>>414224thank you! for the metal:you make a frame (shape). Then you add a gradient texture, make it a smart object and then clipping maskdesaturate the gradient texture and add regular gausian noise to it. Then go to filter galery and add horizontal noise (this is for brushed effect)For the "borders" (idk the proper term) you double click the metallic gradient, add a stroke. Select screen mode and gradient then play with the settings, scale and angle.Thats it you got you brushed metallic frame

>>412210This looks out of the late 2000's, how did you even do this? I'm very interested
>>410576I’m sorry but the more I look at this the more I hate it. The colors are terrible and the subject is pretty bland. And Jesus that teal burns my eyes. But for some reason it fascinates me so i saved it. Just wanted you to know

My own idea for a techno or trance album cover, going for a sort of turn of the century look>>409567Zajebiste dude. Do you have a page?
Couple poster ideas from today
>>414567newfag here, how do you enable the grid system?
album cover concept
>>415369The text on top is hard to read. For one the font is just hard to fathom at a glance and also the shade is nearly the same as the background. Fix that up and you have something good.

>>409849nice fonts. I want.>>409827fucking love these that OP posted.
>>409569I love this. The colors are great and the type is nice. The character looks good but it’s a played out corporate character design, the way you rendered it (the lines, colors, etc) is good tho. Love the design of the dog.
>>410821Fucking awesome great work anon
>>412210>>412211dope looks like how 90s drum and bass sounds
>>410821Magician is the only one i felt. Rest feel like the corporate design style like other anons said.
>>409567I dig the 90's techno font look. Could be something out of Wipeout

>>410599I like it! A lot! Is it for a tee shirt?

made this a while back. >education: none. >technique: tracing and messing with contrast, brightness, saturation and layers. is it good?

>>417767This looks awesome, what was your process?
>>417631>>410404>>410403>>410297>>417767 Whats your workflow for converting images into this? Treshold adj?
>>417774thanks, i dont really have one to be honest, i just splatter random shit that eventually ends up going together, however i almost always use the torn edges filter from the filter gallery, then cover the whole image with a sandstone texture, thats really about it. everything else is finding the right shit to place onto the poster
>>417672real nice, how did you get the multicolour halftone effect?
>>417786Not the anon, but try separate halftine layers each with diffirent duotone of colors
Trying out some new typefaces & textures.
>>4108581. The headlines is too long and not clever enough2.The background makes the shoes look iike another boring rock (mountains are not the best symbol for nature, rather for toils and achievements)3. Try to fit the text into the picture in an organic way. Right now it's just a boulder.4. The price tag shouldn't be green if the rest of the image is gray-brown. You can also put it in the middle if you want to.5. The Merrel logo can stay there but if you can change it I would go with just the name in white. The red just kind of rapes the picture.Anyway, those are just my thoughts
>>411026It is actually pretty good. It has that early vaporwave feel. However, unless you are designing a synth / lo-fi album cover this will never be requested.
>>417679i drawn it myself
>>417775barely use threshold desu, sometimes i convert jpegs to bitmap, other times i just use the various filters in the "sketch" category in filter gallery, different things work for different images.
I am trying to make it look like the guy was painted on the wall and the painting was not finished and damaged over time too.

op here guysjust you to know, ofc second fucking fiver logo was chosen, my boss didnt even commented on first one, it was for me the first clear decision that i need to go on my way and sure i will. Will update some more stuff soon when i organize it.
>>419172Great work again, you got a behance or ig?
You have good ideas op but you do not have readability, which demands a sort of energetic momentum to your type. My guess is you don’t iterate nearly enough or just to a stubbornly limited extent.
>>410107The IT'S looks like Blockland.
>>410274SoulThe texture stretching in the hills makes it evoke an old 3d look, further adding to the soulfulness.

>>419172i like this and hate this at the same timethe word mark is ok, i would invest more time in itpackaging design is good but cheesythe mascot just looks cheap. not bad, just not professional.
>>409827slick. well done.
>>409849Simple but has soul
>>419445understandit was a task under time pressure, probably i created that pressure myself, would love to sit on it longer and probably should. This deal is long gone tho. I must have better portfolio i suppose.this fucker always crack me up xD
>>419497youre a good illustrator, i like your workyou definitely don't miss appropriateness, but for logos you need to be more refined, something that is instantly recognisable. work with simpler, well defined and characterised basic shapes. thicken your brush strokes. anticipate any type of use accordingly. a logo is timeless.
>>419172im guessing thats a different language, if not the font is straight asshole, also looks like a drink from an adult habbo hotel
>>414485very cool, not sure what the purpose of the lowest element is
I'm doing a favor for someone;as a logo, I feel like it's too flat, or just needs something in general./gd/ opinions?
>>419611I'm no expert and I really actually like a lot of the subtler design choices you've made, like with the font having those angles that align with the angles of the mountain. I think the font might be the only thing that is throwing you, if I were just fucking with it I'd shave the E to align with the roof the way that the T and the 1 are? And then if that looks bad I'd just like switch between fonts. Are you supposed to use that color blue? A lot of the times that I've helped businesses make logos, they want the worst colors ever, and when it doesn't look amazing they're confused.
>>419621Honestly the blue is just placeholder. I can change to any color. They didn't give me a color to use.The font has the same angles because I copied the top of the 1 to make the roof/etc. The real problem with it is that the triangles are just off, they're scalene and not proper isosceles. That means I had to do a lot of extra work when it came to the outline. Also, I'm now playing around with triangles that have a portion eliminated. Since it's a maid service, doing some kind of cleanliness thing I feel would help to communicate it more. The thing with regular maid services logos is that they all look the same in terms of the sponge/mop/cleaning stuff, it's all really boring and I didn't want to do all that.
>>419623I think I like the E having an angle, but I'm not into the sparkles because they look too much like the Patriots with the blue and white. Not a bad touch with a different color change, maybe. Overall this is a pretty good logo, dude, I hope you don't hate it. The other critique I guess I have for it is not really helpful, but if you're having a hard time with the triangles and making it pop, maybe just scrap the whole house design and move to a more normal, like, mop, or something. Sometimes you wanna make something to set your clients apart from their competition and they're like "Actually we just want something normal."
>>409567Your one fucking job is to deliver a message effectively, nobody can read your super duper kewlz font at a first glance. By the time they've managed to read your bullshit, they've already moved on.
first version of a logo for an electronic music studiographic is sort of a wave frequency, its composed of the negative space in the typography, just bigger. Also its trying to look kinda like an Many help/thoughts? specially regarding size/spacing, etc
>>415128i fucking love this one, turn it into my wallpaper ::)
>>412621>>412662>>418245I agree with anon looks great but very bluepilled boomer truth regime stuff.
>>419501Striking words. Especially those with timelessness.I feel like an illustrator. I absolutely boycott any design just to scratch as much as possible. I am an illustrator. It just so happened that I work in this job because I can do it properly. But instead of subtracting - I add. Because I want to draw a tree here, and here is a figure.Strong words, especially after such a great pic rel. I understand that this is an art in itself. I think i just, mmm, cant. Not because it's a bad thing - I just don't fully fit into this type of synthesis artistically. Someday I would like to run away and just draw. This is the logo I made (name chosen by the client) after reading your message.Thank you for kind words.Ps. My material situation suggests to me that the words above are the words of a fool.
>>419674pomyślałbym o foncie który przypomina ten stroke fali, jest takich dużo. Najlepiej w podobnej szerokości.Jeśli to miało wyglądać jak M, to nie wygląda. można to zrobić lepiej. Ogranicz liczbę pasków i zobacz, co się stanie.
>>419852its really shitty response because i really wanna be good, im just tired and I presented you with my disadvantage as an advantage and it's idiotic of me.
>>419852i like it. i would simplify the shapes even more, but the concept is very good. i like the typeface as well.
