The second oldest logo functionally still has the most legible contrast in icon sizes, also making logo as part of the Firefox brand the most recognizable.5 'professional' redesigns in time span of 15 years have not been able to match it.Graphic Design is a spook.
mozilla has abandoned their original userbase (tech-literate experts) to try and get mass appealall this has caused is for them to lose touch with their original userbase, and now they're practically deadsasuga diversity hires
>>402433everything is a spook. it is unhelpful to focus on individual examples.
how do i find a reddit for this?
>>4024332013 > 2004 and 2005 > 2009 > 2017 > 2019 >>>>>>> 2002
>>4024552013 is bad because the color of the water and the landmass blend too much
>>402433Why did they change it in 2005, 2009, 2013, and 2017? I'm not like a mad autist, I just literally don't understand the point. They all look so much like 2004 that you might as well save the money. I don't like 2019 a lot but at least it has some significant difference aside from "more gloss" and "less gloss"
>>402439Remember when they "coincidentally" removed Dissenter from their web store the exact same time Google did?
>>402433The 2020 logo is an absolute abomination. Why did they have to change from the masterpiece that was done in 2004?
>>402661it's starting to resemble a fox less and less throughout the years, so here is my prediction for 2021's logo.
>>402661because 2004 is really busy and works better as a 1200x1200 pixel illustration than a small icon
>>402661What's hilarious is that logos with swooshes are the most trite thing around. They're ditching everything and just making the entire logo yet another swoosh. I miss the 2004 logo. It was the best.>>402685You're hired.
>>402661>Fire >No foxHow did they get it this wrong?
>>402685The ring of fire
>>402433i like 2009-2013 desu
>>402661This is why I hate minimalism or whatever style this is. They get rid of everything unique and fun for a bunch of lines that don’t even represent anything. Literally soulless
tried fixing the 2017 logo
>>402614Like a real planet, from space.
>>402741You hate it because you hate yourself.
>>403457A logo should prioritize readability, and the emersed land of Earth is pretty noticeable
>>402708All of these are meant to represent the esoteric symbol of the ring of Saturn, they signal the companies' masonic roots
>>4026862004 is just the fire, the fox, and the world wide web. It's not busy, it's complete; a logo that encompasses all there is to it using simple imagery. The new one is abstract bullshit.
>>4024332004's was honestly ahead of its time. looks as "modern" as 2013s
>>4024332019 is unironically really good.
>>403467WE NEED IMMEDIATE EVACUATION ORDERS FOR CIVILIANS AND PERSONNEL IN USUAL AREAS THAT ARE PRE-MEDITATED OR REQUIRED TO BE A NECESSITY FOR THE NEXT STAGE OF OPERATIONS WHEN IT COMES TO THE UPCOMING WAR **URGENT**
>>403459His point still stands, old Firefox logo had SOVL
FOX is 666. The first image is a phoenix. The Phoenix 666 engulfing the Earth. No one knows this?
>>404290go back
>>4024332013 is the best in my opinion. The muted landmass colors makes it less "busy", which I'm sure is a concern for some people, but it hasn't been reduced to the over minimalistic garbage of 2019.
>>402433just trying to look like chrome ultimately copying google at the end of the day
>>402708> You're hiredNa-uh! Only if they are from a supressed minority.
>>402433Trends are changing, keep that in mind. Logos and brands are entering the "flat" phase with Subway and Burger King revamping their design with less saturated colours and no 3d elements. Firefox 2004 design is nice but too detailed for a logo especially for an icon.
>>402433Does anyone else find it weird that as screens have gotten higher and higher resolution, graphic design and images keep getting flatter, less detailed and lower resolution?
>>402433i think it goes well with the current os
>>402433i think the 2017 one is the best desu, it's deconstructed enough to look current, but it still keeps its identity. the 2019 one just looks bland and generic
>>405219that's true, but screens have also gotten smaller as people have started to spend more time on their phones than actual computers.
>>402661I really like i actually. I like all except the bird one, really.
>>402614Literally not important to he design tho
>>402433mozilla are aids cancerwhat happens when social justice takes over a company
>>402685we dont have coce,Is pepsi ok?
>>406031>> The trend of humanity has been to make things simpler and simpler in all fronts of life>>Graphic design also follows this trend extra hard because the viewing sizes have also scaled down due to phones.>>It's the libs' faultYou have to go back
>>406058it's more about money being repetatively thrown at pointless and even anticonsumer shit. in eastern europe 10K american rubles can buy 2-3 months of programming or about 3-5 months of UI design work, but that probably went bankrolling faggots and redrawing logo svg.mozilla representatives are now paid to blog about how upset they are that nazis use p2p shit that cannot be censored, and for 'planning and organizing' (making infographics) of how in long term to sniff them out from FOSS development and other technocorporate places.
>>403468you're not wrong
>>402661WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING !!!???
STAHP
that 2002 logo <3
>>406363Thread
what the fuck is wrong with twitter niggas and their insistence on bootlicking shitty corporate decisions
>>402661This isn't the Firefox browser logo idiots, its the logo for the Firefox "brand" (Including the browser, clockwise etc)
>>406614s/clockwise/lockwise
mozilla has to issue a statement on their confusing branding https://hacks.mozilla.org/2021/02/keep-calm-the-fox-is-here-to-stay/
>Another thread about normies seething that corporate brands don't stay frozen in ice.Not everything will stay like it was in your childhood anons, and logos will go first.>>402711Open your eyes, the fire is also a tail
the new logo is way better.when you put the firefox logo in your taskbar its absolutely tiny and all detail is lost unless you have a 4k monitor, which most people don't. simple flat logos look way better at this size and are much more readable. The firefox logo has never been great anyway. I always used my own custom icon for it because i hate how busy looking it is, and it didn't sit nicely with any of my other desktop icons.
