there's nothing to critique, you give no context. from the look of it, you took 2 generic elements and put them together.
if your serif font and branches are relevant to the business, then it might work. I don't know what the company would have to be though—something classy and with XIXth century tradition perhaps, like watches or cologne (picrelated). otherwise, it's really meaningless and generic, on a "stock logo" level.
and on the technical side, the lines are too thin.
