>be me>fall in to /g/s lies>buy a full AMD PC with a AM5>now my fucking PC keeps randomly rebooting>It for some reason only happens on Windows too so now im forced to use Loonixdont fall for the meme anons
>>96081905>buy Intel/Nvidia system>everything just works
No it does not you niggerjew. Post specs and event log
>be me>have Polaris GPU>watch other AMD niggers have driver issues>I don't>feelsgood
>>96082111I'm going to laugh if it's because of pbo or oc memory instability.
>>96081905your psu is too weak
>>96082111>event logits literally just Kernel-Power 41 errors fag'>>96082184its not
>>96082217Then post GPU and PSU. That error was happening to my nephew after with upgraded to a 3080 with a shit PSU.
>>96082256>Then post GPU and PSU. That error was happening to my nephew after with upgraded to a 3080 with a shit PSU.6900xt and a Corsair RM1000X, thanks anon for trying to help
You dun-goofed your installation. The chances of your CPU being bad is insanely low.
>>96082473is that why it only happens on windows?
Windows has 5 different ways between correct and black screen for loading the correctly themed lock screen. After letting the new am5 build sit for a while or unpowered windows forgets how to boot and has to be cycled again and again as if it is doing the memory training. Also was getting or could easily induce the kernel power failure error. Had to really kneecap the overclock or boost.
AMD is trash on Windows always has been
Run core cycler in prime95 small fft mode then y cruncher mode.
>>96082355is something loose in your case? It used to happen to me, my SSD cable and a plug in my psu was loose.
>>96081905>only happens on Windows>blames hardwareAre you seriously so braindead that you can't see that Windows is the problem, not AMD?
>>96081987Tsmt
>>96081905All AMD here, no issues in Windows or Linux. Do you really think they all just randomly reboot and you're the first person to notice?
>>96081905Serious answer, check BIOS updates for your motherboard. If you can get intel instead go ahead, if you can't, then update BIOS drivers. That's it.
>>96081905Skill issue
>>96081905My 5950x randomly rebooted twice recently, after running fine for years. The second time not long ago as I was scrolling through this thread on my phone while in bed.I did update BIOS some weeks ago, and I assume I forgot to re-enable hw virtualization and that might be the culprit?
>>96081905Whenever someone bitches about AMD, 99.99% of the time it is user error. In other words, skill issue.
my fx8350 with rx580 is stable as fuck. feels good.everything works.no need for more.
>>96086372And don't forget blatant shills for Intel and Nvidia anon.
>>96081905see if you can disable the turbo frequencies in bios
>>96081905user error Mine is fine on windows
>>9608221741... and you said AM5?Get a UPS. Your shitty home power isn't stable enough and you get a brown out. Plus, you can have power outage protection. The other possibility is you have a bad stick of RAM. Run Memtest overnight and see what it says. As said, it being the CPU or GPU is very unlikely.
>>96081905>only happens on Windows too so now im forced to use Loonixbased
>>96086315whea error = hardware failure. either you are overclocking or your cpu is dead
>>96081905Run Windows in a VM on your Linux host, problem solved and get two OS at once.
>>96089865>41... and you said AM5?>>Get a UPS. Your shitty home power isn't stable enough and you get a brown outkek, this was probably it, how the fuck did you know anon, are you a wizard?
>>96081905>Be me>Have AMD CPU>No problems, everIt's just youIf it only happens in Windows, it's clearly not a CPU issue, you're fucking retarded beyond belief
You fell for am5.Its so over you dumbass. Threadripper is the entry level processor.....go with epyc for performance
>forced to use LoonixYou are welcome.
