Why everybody pretends that using arch is some arcane knowledge?
Well, you certanly need to know a little more about your computer, but if you are not a grandma you'll learn it eventually anyway.
Arch doesn't require you to build the whole system from scratch, you just choose what building blocks you want and it does everything for you, and some things (like systemd) are already there and don't require your attention.
>>

I’ve used arch for a long time and I don’t get where these retarded memes come from. My stuff has pretty much just worked. If you can’t spend a minute reading pacman’s output then no it’s not going to be mouth breather friendly. The arch wiki is one of the few things on Linux that rivals Microsoft in terms of documentation.

Arch is just a stepping stone.
You install it and use it for a while, you learn a lot, you fix it when it breaks etc..
But eventually, it breaks in a way that you just cant be fucking bothered to fix, so you go use something else.

Didn't break.
>t.used Arch for 2 years, now use Fedora
Used Fedora to bootstrap my current PC but installed Arch almost immediately after as Fedora was so alien to me.

dependencies change, it probably requires many old, now unusable dependencies. go find a ubuntu version from 20 years ago and compile it there, or find a binary, retard. that's not the AUR's fault
>>93672440
>must defend redha-ACK!
just admit it's shit. wayland is shit and fedora should just use x.org, a window system that works perfectly fine and has zero reason to be replaced. as for installing x, sure i could just dnf install it (shit package manager btw) but i shouldn't have to have two window systems installed when i just wanna use one, and most people wanna use x anyway.

Right, so your beloved argumentum ad populum fallacy only works one way? When the majority of the population thinks Windows and MacOS are good, it's a fallacy.
