Like wtf happened? We used to have greatness:

- Forums
- No conglomerate social media brainwashing us
- A lot less cringe
>>
politics happened
>>
>>93661162
Everything got aggregated into a small number of very large, very popular, very heavily censored websites.

The requirement of your identity being connected to almost everything has neutered discourse. The early internet thrived on people being able to be unabashed retards

Yes, and it happened again. Back then it was home users entering an internet that was only used by college fags.

The population of users changed. The internet is mainstream now and it has the same kind of audience as TV used to have. This is also your average customer at Bestbuy.

thank you for reminding me that I'm still fucking mad. I am actually seething.
so many good communities moved into shitty messengers and turned into a bunch of flooding motherfuckers rapidly spewing choppy small messages (most probably in likeness of their limp dicks)
the only good thing about this tragedy is messengers aren't cached so this shameful display won't be preserved. it's also a bad thing for the same reasons which makes me even more mad.

This. I miss forums, but it's a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy. Nobody's on forums, so nobody joins, so nobody's on them.
Also let's not act like forum mods couldn't be as bad as Reddit jannies, because a lot of the time they were. Plus, now if you made a forum for just shooting the shit, there's a nonzero chance people will try to uproot the entire internet to take your site down (Kiwifarms is an autism containment forum and two different countries have drafted legislation in their national governments while mentioning it by name, all because a handful of weirdos are that powerful).

What is your website url where you upload original content with your unique style?
>>
>>93663497
speaking about the cookies...
every single cookie could be exploited to crack the browsers and if you are somewhat knowledgeable it is possible to enter in the root access on the preferred devices which are connected on the internet.
Precaution small notification;

I don't understand why you're so fixated on this idea of "greatness" that supposedly existed in the past. You might be distorting your memories or blowing things out of proportion. Societal changes occur, and while forums had their benefits conglomerate social media platforms offer a broader range of possibilities for connection and information sharing. It seems like you're just being overly sensitive and unable to adapt to the evolving trends, and your inconsistent opinions and complaints make it hard to take your perspective seriously. Perhaps you should reflect on your own susceptibility to the brainwashing effects of social media instead of blaming others for the current state of affairs.

All the old Internet content and sites were destroyed whilst the modern woke SJW Internet has been archived like crazy. The Internet has been subjugated to a cultural purge.
