I wanted to bring up the Corsair Katar Elite because while searching the archive I learned it hasn't been brought up, at all. What makes it the "Elite" version is in part the fact it is wireless and rechargeable (internal Li Ion battery) I don't understand why popular mice like the egg (G305) get a pass on the fact they still use fucking AA batteries in 2023. I think, right now at least the Katar Elite deserves to be more popular. When the G305 get a Li Ion version I'll consider it, but till then, I implore you to check out Corsair's offerings. The Sabre is pretty cool too. Please share your mice and what you do and don't like about them. And make sure to shit on me for shilling a Corsair product.
I think the G303 is really cool too, but I wish it didn't have some video gamer's name on it.
The aforementioned egg. It's a computer peripheral, it should be rechargeable via the fucking computer. Looks great thought.
No matter how much you spend, all scroll wheels will commit suicide within a year.
>>92178880They probably last longer when you aren't covering them in dorito dust.
>>92178880>>92178891Actually, on the topic of scroll wheels.Does anyone else prefer the sticky rubber to the hard ridged scroll wheels?
>>92178891My hands are most likely cleaner than yours.
>>92179033Yeah, and my scroll wheel has been good for 5 years now.t. G502Don't cum on the mouse
>>921791455 years is long enough to have a mouse that wasn't built like trash on purpose. You're clearly talking out of your ass with zero knowledge of how mice are now.My hands > your insufferable touhou hands
>>92179281My touhou hands are just fineI was unaware that planned obsolescence had become such a large issue with mice in the past few years.I can't help but feel like part of the supposed decline in quality is due to the trend of making mice lighter and lighter.
>>92179377
>>92178803What are you going to do when that internal li-on battery shits out eventually? With the 305 you have the option of using rechargeable AA or AAA. You can use quality high capacity batteries. You can use hearing aid cells if you want reduced weight. It’s a lot more flexible.
>>92183531>What are you going to do when that internal li-on battery shits out eventually? When that happens years from now I will want a different mouse so I will probably throw it away. If I like it that much, I'll just put a new pack in. >if you want reduced weightIf you want reduced weight, you want a Li Ion pack. >You can use quality high capacity batteriesOh? Do you mean perhaps like the Lithium ones? Maybe even the rechargeable lithium AA's? Damn, what if they just put those in the mouse and let you recharge them IN the mouse.Maybe you could even use the mouse WHILE it's charging. Almost like, a Li Ion battery pack or something. There's a reason why every electronic has or is changing to rechargable Li Ion batteries.
Finalmouse Starlight Pro
>>92183896That's a good mouse
Final mouse last legend smallThis lil niggas light as fuck, and perfect for a fingertip grip Came from a 502 which I've used since 2014, I should have switched sooner. That brick is a piece of shit by comparison
>>92183962That's a crazy looking mousepad
>>92178880Been using a g305 for 2 years and a halfScroll wheel is fine
>>92183987It's just some ai art, I'm probably going to change pads soon though I want something a bit faster gonna go more minimalistic I think
>>92178803>not a Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHTtrash
>>92185317How superlight is it though
>>92185432enough to be the most dominant mouse in e sports
>>92185535I'd consider it if I didn't have to replace the switches
>>92185598Do you think that any pros have replaced switches on their g pros?
>>92185609How could anyone tell?Besides it's Logitech, that shit must by default double click after a certain period of time. There's a reason optical switches are being shilled often, and there's like 500 tutorials on youtube on how to replace the switches, and there's many different ones being sold as well. At least do it like the Orochi v2, as garbage as that mouse might be in comparison it doesn't get in the way of you doing that sort of modification at all, don't need to remove the feet.
>>92178826I still have mine but it double clicks.
>>92185535everyone would use finalmouse if it was easier to get. The super light is 60+g pig fat
>>92185646>>92185664So when do you go Pro?
>>92178880Why does this always happen? My G502 scroll wheel tilted to the right and wouldn't click.I bought Viper mini and the piece of shit scroll wheel was rattling ootb. Now it's double clicking.
>>92178803What's up with gaming mice and having shitty scroll wheels that squeak after a month of use?
>>92178880>tfw even the optical encoder on my MM720 shat the bed after almost 2 yearsGot it replaced under warranty but you'd think LEDs shouldn't fail within 2 years.
I woke up and my thread is still alive.Very cool, thank you anons
>>92185317But it doesn't have a pirate symbol on it.
>>92178865I agree, dostum
>>92185664Lighter isn’t necessarily better for cs, osee uses a finalmouse Poseidon and he sucks
after years of logitech (g9, g9x and g502) i switched to the razer basilisk v3, which is basically just a better version of the g502 from a different brand. it's a great mouse, the sensor is the best one i have ever used
>>92183896>hole technology
>>92185661I don't understand this whole "double click" thing. Is it just an issue of cleaning the buttons? When my G502 started double clicking I just shook it a lot and dropped it a few time and it stopped doing it. It's probably just a crumb in there or something.
>>92191220https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FepmjdZF0dsHmm, perhaps I knocked some dust off my switch or something.
>>92191220 https://youtu.be/v5BhECVlKJAHere is an hour long video on why double clicking happens
>>92191370Where's Decker when you need him
It just werks, no double-click issues like the Logitech mouse it replaced had. It has just the right amount of weight to it too.
>>92191603Microsoft makes some cool weird mice. Is that one you posted the one with the red bottom? I remember the scroll wheel getting stuck because there wasn't enough clearance between the wheel and the plastic.
>>92191603Are you the one modding and selling them as gaming mice?
>>92191681I have this and I ended up hating it, the batteries don't make proper contact and the buttons get constantly stuck all the time.It was reasonable at first, but it ages like milk.
>>92191681The original IntelliMouse has a red bottom with a bright as fuark LED. The new one has a black, opaque bottom.>>92191749No, that would require access to a large e-waste cache, sounds like a good hustle though.

g305 with aaa battery mod and tiger arc feet is endgame

Really imo mice under $20 USD tend to be a bit shit. Some last 12 months others years. VS $60 gaming mice I've had, litrally never had a decent gaming mouse last under 2-3 years no matter how much abuse I've given it.
>>92196115Hello, me
>>92196141perfect + saved
>>92185598This. Any mouse I get, I have to replace all the switches with khailh silent switchs. I can't stand how loud regular switches are.
AhemWould you spend $30 on a paracord cable? The Katar Elite's charging cable (USB C - USB A) is just rubber.
>>92196973no take the wireless pill
>>92197033Maybe I should've been more clear. The Katar Elite is Wireless, the charging cable which charges the battery inside the katar is just a normal rubber cable.I was considering buying a USB-C cable (the kind of cable which charges said mouse) in the paracord variety for looks and in the event the battery malfunction I can just plug the mouse via the cable. This site has so many optionshttps://dream-cables.com/color-chart-2/
Y'know what. Why don't they just make the mouse pad a wireless charging station, and the mouse wireless rechargable
>>92197133nigger

>>92191603>*autoscrolls*
>>92195869Don't like the superlight shape. Definitely the better mouse objectively speaking, though.Even without taking into account the fact I'm using it for the shape, the g305 is pretty much unbeatable for the price as a modern no-frills wireless option. Logitech should really "Superlight" this shape imo (but they wont).
>>92197133Logitech Powerplay is just that
>>92191603I'd probably love this mouse if it were ambidextrous instead of "ergonomic". Shame they didn't make two types.
What are some other mice with simple fairly non-gamer aesthetics like Zowie mice? No RGB.

>>92178880Talking of which, I had had a razer mouse for 6 years before I changed it for, well, the same model but a new one, because its side rubber had started to peel away. I had the new one for a year and the scroll wheel goes both directions especially when scrolling down. I have tried to shake it multiple times to no avail.
My G102 had a double click issue, but she behaved correctly after I smacked her.
>>92203187Intellimouse, MX518 Legendary
Mogs the superlight hard.
I imagine everyone who uses one of these cheese grater mice is either a 400lb lard ass or a pasty noodle armed gay nerd
The SteelSeries Prime Mini is excellent for ultra-light gaming. It's very lightweight and feels well-built. Its mouse feet glide very smoothly on mousepads and desks, and its paracord-like cable feels high quality. It also has a comfortable, right-handed shape suitable for all grip types and most hand sizes. Built Smaller. Lighter. All Performance. The Prime Mini uses Steelseries' proprietary TrueMove Pro sensor, which reads more images at a higher quality than standard gaming sensors, utilizes a stronger processor to handle the workload, and results in a genuine 18,000 CPI. Consistency, reliability, and performance have all been elevated to their peak in the TrueMove Pro sensor, which is why it has the best tracking on any mousepad.
>>92204943Post an example of what you're looking for. >>92208170 Is an actual good modern mouse, I'm not shitposting
It's just amazing that in the age of super light and wireless mice, no one brought back the NB series induction tech from A4tech. Pretty much the best from all sides, no cable, no weight, no battery. It's like a 20+ years old thing and it's completely ignored. Are they sitting on it while having it patented or what?
Thoughts?
