Good morning redhat employee
>>
>>89938281
I use Debian you Xorg luddite
>>
>>89938227
Used it for months and never could share my screen.
>>
xorg is great and supports my favorite wm i3
why would I switch? (i won't)
>>
>>89938227
Using it for years, just works
>>
>>89938227
1 year her, not because I like updooting but because Xorg can't even support 240hz monitors (Kwin gets capped at 100fps)
>>
i expected a lot of trouble, but i even get more FPS in retroarch

>>89938961
you don't have to switch, but sway is supposed to be a drop in replacement for i3
dwm = dwl+somebar
>>
hotkeys don't "just werk" though
>>
>>89939016

It works mostly fine for me, but the only thing that's made me go back to X11 is Latte Dock isn't able to correctly reserve screen space and prevent other windows from going under it when opening/snapping them.
Made a post about it yesterday in /fglt/. What's weird is it worked fine for several months and then just stopped.
I'll try again in a couple months. Wayland has some good designs behind it but I wish the developers would make a bit more functionality-based decisions rather than placing every basic feature behind a wall because of "muh security".

I was aware of Sway but didn't know DWM had a Wayland fork as well. That's neat.

That shit can't even run Window Maker.

>Window Maker
Nigga anyone autismo enough to run Window Maker is already going to hate Wayland on principal alone.
