Using it for months and it just works
>>89938227Good morning redhat employee
>>89938281I use Debian you Xorg luddite
>>89938227Used it for months and never could share my screen.
xorg is great and supports my favorite wm i3why would I switch? (i won't)
>>89938227Using it for years, just works
>>899382271 year her, not because I like updooting but because Xorg can't even support 240hz monitors (Kwin gets capped at 100fps)
i expected a lot of trouble, but i even get more FPS in retroarch>>89938961you don't have to switch, but sway is supposed to be a drop in replacement for i3dwm = dwl+somebar
hotkeys don't "just werk" though
>>89939016same but over a decade
>>89938227It works mostly fine for me, but the only thing that's made me go back to X11 is Latte Dock isn't able to correctly reserve screen space and prevent other windows from going under it when opening/snapping them.Made a post about it yesterday in /fglt/. What's weird is it worked fine for several months and then just stopped.I'll try again in a couple months. Wayland has some good designs behind it but I wish the developers would make a bit more functionality-based decisions rather than placing every basic feature behind a wall because of "muh security".
>>89940485>dwlI was aware of Sway but didn't know DWM had a Wayland fork as well. That's neat.
>>89938227That shit can't even run Window Maker.
>>89940790>Window MakerNigga anyone autismo enough to run Window Maker is already going to hate Wayland on principal alone.
>>89940756>Latte Dockit's abandonware, the creator and only maintainer left the project and nobody wants to take it
>>89938879>>89940503maybe use proper DE and browser
>>89940906what does a browser have to do with hotkeys not working? this was on gnome btw
>>89940931>gnome btwwhat did you expect? hotkeys work fine in my compositor btw
>>89940931that was for other poster that mentioned screensharinghotkeys work on my machine
Is it worth installing a just werks distro on a separate drive to try?
>>89940852> it's abandonwareWelcome to the Wasteland™ of abandoned Wayland projects.
>>89938227been using it for almost 8 months and i love it, the only problem i have is chromium extension pop up not opening well and having weird issues. using chromium on ozone wayland backend.
Does it support fractional scaling decently yet and am I stuck with blurry windows
wake me up when it is able to map caps lock to escape and ctrl
>>89942396works in my compositor
