What is going on with Google? Why do searches return completely unrelated results?

No, competent people deliberately made search results worse. Because searching for an obscure query to a technical problem isn't something they can sell ads against, and it isn't something they can shill with "sponsored" or "promoted" results. So if you search for something that g**gle has decided they can't effectively exploit you with, they just silently return the closest results that make them money. They don't do stupid things, they do asshole things.

I wonder if at some point Google's hubris will be its downfall, or if normies will be completely unable to change search engines because it's not within their lexicon

better?
>>
>>88026601
No idea, but I'm fed up with it. Every fucking day it causes my rage. Either returns unrelated things or just returns three results, even though I typed in a specific query that should get me to the site I found on Google a few hours earlier, but it doesn't. I hope to set up my Searx instance soon, but Bing, Yandex and the like often aren't much better, unfortunately.

tammy sepetis i think. information about the subject appears to only be on twitter and lolcow sites which means none of what you're getting is the direct facts lol

embarrassing

Google - the search engine - has been getting worse amd worse for the past decade or so, for real. You're unironicaly going to get much better results from most other search engines.
>>
>>88028594
>>88028601
>>88028784
And I can't help but wonder, maybe there aren't any better results for your query? But I suppose that's my mind trying to cope on autopilot.

That one has only Google enabled by default.

Youtube search is hilarious, it just kind of gives up after a few results and starts shoveling random videos at you.
>>
>>88028601
Gibiru is supposedly built using a Google custom search
>>
>>88029001
Yeah all the results in the screenshot are from Google, you can see on the right

>>88028784
It is probably used by /g/ a lot so Google now personalizes this way for it kek

I can almost smell her bad breath.
>>
>>88028966
There isn't much to operate anymore. You ask Google a question and it gives you an answer package.
>>
>>88029016
They are trying to show personalized clickbait videos.

Because Evernote is now a web app, nobody keeps track of versions.
