so I built a 60% keyboard with aluminium case and I did put a foam for the case but the keyboard still feels and sounds hollow when typing, should I add another foam layer to the case+get a pcb foam?

Normally when I put a foam for my case, I make such that there is enough to where it becomes compressed by the fixture you're applying it to. This sandwiching allows the pcb foam or case foam to absorb sound best. This is keeping in mind things like two-piece, cnc'd, aluminum top mount, but even if this isn't your board foam can still go a long way. If it's tray or o-ring gummy mount, pouring liquid silicone and letting it rest to become more firm, is a good option if you do your homework.

is there a significant difference between cherry and OEM profile keycaps? I found few gmk clones in cherry profile that I would like to get for a couple new builds, I basically only used OEM profile all my life (except my laptop keyboard), and my concern is it would be weird typing on cherry profile but most people say its pretty much the same and I tend to think that too because the profile is almost the same but I just want to be sure.

Just bought GMMK 2 (Needed full size).
Shipping was pricey (from EU), but after using cheap mechanical keyboards - this is just something else.

Comes pre-lubed, stabilization is excellent, linear-keys with red, fox switches - very quiet, I can't even hear typing on my DT770, and without its just very satisfying sound.

Regular ESC keycap replacement for orange one is included.
It weighs a lot lol (probably aluminum), overall - very well made.

Yeah. If anything you want takes a Pro Micro pinout, you can set up the ZMK firmware with it. Will need to write the shield (layout/etc) for it if it is undocumented, but it is fine otherwise. There are some PCBs with built-in ZMK as well. Nice!60 is one I know of.

Building a split keyboard (Lily58, 58 keys) and I want advice for the keycaps and switches I should get:

Currently have a Logitech G610 with cherry brown switches. It's good.
Things I like:
Switch feel when typing
Things I don't like:
Surface of the switch gets shiny quickly

Switches I am considering:
Gateron browns, because people say the click isn't as scratchy as on the cherry, and they have about the same weight as my cherry brown.

Keycaps I am considering:
£15 blank PBT keycaps from AliExpress, because the ones with printed letters have an awful font and the texture should be nicer than my Logitech.

Advice? Particularly asking about the keycaps because I have no idea about them and sets for a split keyboard are difficult to find on Ali.
