I want an OS that is as secure as possible, an OS that does not track my every move.Which one would it be? Thank you.
Any GNU/Linux distro that respects your freedom:https://www.gnu.org/distros/free-distros.htmlFor me, it's GNU Guix.
Something without networking support.I suggest TempleOS
>>87470917arch or debian. disregard everything else.

>>87471088I wish, but even DOS is better than 11
>>87471965Yep. most of the time, modern OS are secure enough, with the user being the biggest flaw
>>87471002thisany other reply is a meme
>>87470917I read this to the tune of Huey Lewis, anon
If you have more than 16GB ram: qubesIf you have less and are a normie: FedoraIf you have lass but arent a normie: Endeavour (its arch, but comes with a preinstalled gui.)

>secure as possibleAny OS that isn't connected to the internet
>>87470917Just use whatever you want and never connect to the internet, USB sticks to transfer data. Encrypt everything that leaves the device

>>87471088I do not know what I meant by that
>>87474468I don't use Linux
>>87470917To make it as secure as possible, you have to turn off the internet connection. Might as well use Windows 10 at that point because at least you can install and use software on it without being connected to the internet and having to rely on cloud repos for millions of dependencies.
>>87474919Yes you just talk about things you have not clue about. Just like a /g/ user.
>>87471872literally this, best os available right now for normies and techs

>>87470917I'm going to try out Tails this weekend. Seems promising.
>>87470917>I want an OS that is as secure as possible, an OS that does not track my every move.>Which one would it be? Thank you.Depends on what you need to get done. Is this for gaymen? Banking? Online shopping? Typing your midterm essay? Shitposting?
just use Ubuntu
>>8747091799% sure qubesOS is the only option. you can boot, decrypt, open a whonix vm and be anon. while still on the clear with regular stuff. (or just push 100% of your traffic through tor in whonix)i think the >16gb memory is a meme, you could do with 8 if you were minimal and focused.
>>87471128This. Only distro that has no network activity on wireshark after installing by default.Captcha:KKK4A
>>87476283Exactly, would the Feds use something insecure?
>>87470917Use ChromeOS It is secure and fast new features every month very much getting better& bettermake sure to get 8gb+ ram and a core-i tier cpu then it will be mega fast and smooth – wowGoogle anonymizes what it tracks of you so you can trust them because they can't lie like this because they wouldn't
>>87479180>caring about a licenseGPL, MIT, proprietary etc. is just a superficial word salad that doesn't mean shit to me when I can just steal any software without anyone noticing. Is there any other downside to using BSD or are you going to tryhard current chan culture like you always do?
>>87477533yes, they have mandatory ching chong backdoors as part of the five eyes/prism program.

>>87479328>Is there any other downside to love cucks and use their products?
>>87470917The absolute best for that is Qubes OS!it is the operating system used when you need securty at its hardest, used by snowden and many others of that type. dont track you, if you want to be extra anon put i2p and tor gateway configured into your network.Qubes OS makes that every program or window you open is opened in a WHOLE nother Virtual machine, so malware cannot acces the stuff in other windows. That is what its mainly known for, and ofc thats not the only thing about it!
>>87486896>>87481282no one gives a shit.do you have the schematic to your computer? no? then its not open source.
>>87470917qubes os, gentoo with proper apparmor/SElinux, or if you want to audit all code by yourself to make extra sure : some BSD we never heard of, or Linux from Scratch.
