2 questions for someone buying their first phone and phoneplan -

A) Any recommendations on a phone plan in the US? The biggest thing I'm looking for is unlimited data and maybe 5G if I can get it for a good deal. I would like something that is not super gay like Verizon as I have been looking at chink phones as of late. As for budget? I really would like to get the best deal that I can. Would be nice if I could have something I can rice and tinker with, though I know with chink phones (which seem to be the best cost to performance) OS replacements can be a bit shoddy. I don't really care about camera quality, expandable storage would be cool but not required, speaker quality is whatever, 3.5mm jack would be nice, size is w/e but I do love me my big ass phones the note series was cool as hell, waterproof would be nice, and a nice screen quality would be really appreciated. If its not a huge ask, I would like a phone I can get a good case for. Don't want to drop it and destroy it in a week. Looking to keep it for a long long time. Can't seem to find a case for the chink phones I looked at.

There's the rog 5s. Looks gaymer but has a much better battery life, no notch, better speakers, better audio jack that's supported by a quad dac and a better aspect ratio than these long phones. The 8Gen1 is notorious for being kind of a battery hog, but generally a mid-tier SoC will do better on battery, even if the high-end stuff is more efficient, just because the SoC is that much less powerful. It's what made the Pixel 3a such a battery champ for its time: the SoC it used was just that much less powerful.

So my Gear Sport watch got water damage today at last, seems to not be completely dead but the screen is currently blank.
My last bet is to open it up and see if letting the thing air dry will do the job otherwise my options are either to just buy a preowned replacement and roll the dice on that or decide to upgrade to something new.

So on that note, what are some watches that might make a good replacement? My main asks are (in order of preference):

I mainly got the phone for 120hz and for the novelty. iPhone 13 only has 60hz and Pro is too expensive.
I don't know what to do with the freedom. Although it might sound like cuckshit, I really like how simple and restricted Apple is. It's just a phone, nothing more nothing less.

Samsung phones come quite bloated with preinstalled shit that aren't always removable. I feel like with any android phone going through the debloating process and then going through every customization menu for an hour or two to remove shit you'll never ever use. Like most android phones will have like 20 quick settings tile with everything like screen recording, airplane mode, wifi hotspot, 2 different battery saver modes, screenshot, sync, etcetc. All those things you never fuckin hit but are in the way of quickly finding the flashlight or whatever. Apple just gives you a bare minimum and tells you that you don't need more, while android dogpiles you with options you may not want. It's great if you remove literally everything from Android besides what you need, and get every little annoyance toggled off, shit like new apps appearing on your home screen when you want that shit locked down etc, if you ignore all those annoyances and just live with them instead of customizing them you'll never enjoy that phone.
