Messed the title upHow do you tell apart bits and bytes? Particularly in acronyms, I know bytes are capitalised but nobody ever does thatIn general, storage is bytes and data transfer is bits, am I right? Why would there be a distinction? Wouldn't it be easier to have everything in one unit so that there isn't an annoying conversion factor
i am doing a self directed project. i want to take lyrics of songs from an API and replace a selected word with sneed. i want to automate this and setup a bot in a telegram channel that runs this function so members of the group can simply select the song, select the word to replace with sneed, and it will post it in the chat. later i want to make a program that will do this with mp3s where it will replace the audio with the word sneed, first in a choppy fashion where it just inserts someone saying sneed into the song instead of the word, but then later in a more fanciful way with machine learning type audio algorithim which matches the cadence and tone and sound of the word sneed to the songi am an absolute n00b in programming. what direction should i go in?

my dad and i just made telegram accounts but are unable to call each other through the appwe both keep getting this "sending codes" message. the fuck are we meant to do?I'm in my 50s and he's in his late 70s so bear with me. I only use my phone to chat with family members on whatsapp but now my dad got the idea that using telegram would keep him safe from the government.
>>86931836the code is for registering your phone number first
>>86931844We already did all of that stuff when we made the accounts. The message we get is after the "connecting" message goes away after we try to call each other.

What's the best, least botnet-y DNS service? Quad9 seems literally too good to be true (even after considering that they got funding from the fucking NYPD)
Does it make any sense the way people tag vp8s?color_primaries=bt709color_space=bt470bgthe primaries are exceeding the color space, would one have to also convert the primaries for proper vp8 encoding to ensure playback by the spec on all devices/browsers with accurate colors?

im running pop_os and for a long time now it won't let me do anything requiring an internet connection unless the VPN is on (sites won't load, downloads stop, etc unless the vpn is on). Now i can't connect to the VPN, likely because I was messing with settings and turned on the kill switch. Any tips on how to fix this?

Is there a list of imageboards by traffic?
>>86932795> Quad9 seems literally too good to be true (even after considering that they got funding from the fucking NYPD)Nope, no funding from the NYPD. Largest donors are PCH, SWITCH, and IBM, but there are lots of smaller donors. Lots of LE users, but no LE donors. It's not "too good to be true," it's just a lot of work by a lot of people. Like many open projects that we all depend on.

Anyone have advice to increase oversaturation on an LG OLED(C1)?Even maxing color doesn't do much, what other settings should I mess with?Vivid mode is better oversaturation right? For RL content or content aiming for photo realism, the screen is amazing but my QLED gave better saturation for anime. My S21 Ultra oversaturation is perfect for anime.
