Got my first 11/11 order, a Baseus monitor light. It's pretty good, it somehow manages to fit on my monitor that has a huge lump on the back and the brightness is adjustable too which is cool.

My safety shoes recommendation from the other thread:
>I bought these safety shoes a few weeks ago:
https://ae-cn.alicdn.com/2s82buYL8YMprmM6jQ9/n9S0Rm89LQeE4MxI0JC__hd.mp4 (embed)

>They are 10/10.
>I haven't run over my toes with a car yet, and don't plan on doing that anytime soon. And I'm not going to test whether the kevlar sole can stop nails from penetrating into my feet.
>But the anti-slippery sole is legit stuff.

>And they are just as comfy as regular sport shoes.
>My old safety shoes I bought from a local shop used iron soles instead of kevlar, and it hurt a ton to use them every day, especially just standing up for 8 hours straight becomes a painful task.

>So my advice to anyone who gets into working environments where they force you to wear safety shoes, use your own private comfy safety shoes instead. Avoiding the pain will increase your effectiveness.

To be honest, the only reason why I picked these in particular was due to the fast 7 day shipping from Poland:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000410504100.html
(pick the correct variant)
My metal sole safety shoes were killing my feet, and I needed something different fast.
But they turned out to be really good in the end.

There are other types of safety shoes that have air cushioning below the heels and stuff like that.
And my friends recommended me "suadex safety shoes". But I didn't go for any of them because of long ass shipping time from China.

I have a sneaking suspicion the inner sole alone won't cut it.

Might as well get them into your old pair and test them out. If it's not that great, just leave them as a spare pair

Interesting idea, did try some more expensive boots and they had some more outer sole cushioning. Comfier too and could be better for safety when something hits the steel toe

Nah, and I wouldn't even donate those torture shoes for charity, because that would just be cruelty.

It's best for mankind if I just throw them into the trash. The brand of these torture devices is Bulloch if you're interested.
The shell is hard leather, the outsole is a hard substance as well.
It's almost as if these devices are built to torture you, but if you ever die from getting buried in 20 tons of bricks, your torture device will activate an ausio message: "a-at least your feet are okay"

Should I buy a local (aka white lable most probably) soldering station at sale, 60€ instead of 100€? Is it a good enough sale to not be cucked compared to Chang's prices and offers? I don't have time to order something from ali.
I need it to solder a SMD component keyboard, diodes and hotswap sockets. The alternative is to keep my shitier 30€(not on sale) one and use that.
The good one is 60W compared to the other which is 40W, it also probably have much nicer cables and such. It's called the Dibotech soldering station Pro, if anyone have the same brand locally.

Are there any good Android TV boxes that are current?

Years ago I bought an Amlogic S912 arm tv box with 2gb ddr4 for $60, I could have gotten 3gb for $20 more but didn't know how much I'd use this thing. I put an Android TV 9.0 ROM on it, and it has become the most used computer in my house, being used as a fileserver, kodi and stream box, emulation, YouTube, radio etc.

Everything is great besides the performance of the box, mostly reloading apps from low ram, and it seems like SoCs haven't improved much or even got worse than S912? I really don't want to pay $250 for an outdated Nvidia shield pro until they release a new one but it seems like there isn't an alternative.

I have one from a few years ago and it's pretty nice. Whatever alloy it's made from is kinda soft though, so it scratches easy, I will probably end up stickerbombing it to cover up all the scratches.

>>84457507
I agree with other anon. General tech shit, Ugreen is go-to and Baseus is cool too: powerbanks, mobile accessories, cables, etc. I trust em
>>
>>84457925
Yeah, was even a prebuilt one for around that price in last thread. I need it much sooner though, my stuff will likely be here next week.
So if it's good I don't really mind paying the 60€, but if it's trash or mediocre it doesn't feel worth it. If I think about it realistically it should be quite good though, compared to my old one, since it's three times the price in the normal store.
>>
>>84459197
Good if you want to transition. From the leaking plastic that is.
For real though, I have gotten some from Amazon that probably is some kind of chink shit since they were cheap. One seems quite okay, doesn't smell much (good sign). The other one is some vibrating(quite strong) and "sucking"(that function is shit) I got free when buying a prostate massager. It smells very much of plastic, so likely poisons me, probably best to use such stuff with a condom or throw it out. Made of TPE I think.
Safest bet is going with Bad Dragon since they use silicone as far as I know. There are some copies on ali someone wrote about some threads ago, but they likely aren't Made in America™ out of good silicone. Can still be good though but don't know.

I have the Atom 68, non-bluetooth non-RGB version. It's really nice.

Get the 45g version if you do get it. The 35g one is pretty trash. I got the 35g one originally and swapped out the dome sheet and the "heavier" one is miles better.

Also, I think all Niz keyboards have Costar stabs, but they are fine and it doesn't bother me too much.

Getting myself one of the KSGER soldering stations mentioned on the csgwiki.
You can get one of the older V2.1 boards with some T12 tips for about $60 USD, but it doesn't come with a stand.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32971888371.html
If you do go down this path, look on Youtube for videos on mods that fix the power supply safety issues or get a mini version and use your own 12-24V power brick (eg: an old laptop 19V).

I did a bit of research and found out HikVision and Netac are the two Chinese manufacturers who maintain their own Nand foundries.
And from the looks of it, Hikvision's stuff is more expensive stuff for the surveillance industry, but they offer 7 year warranties.

Netac appears to be more focused on consumer storage and their stuff is cheaper.
So I grabbed
2x 512 GB micro SD
3x 256 BGB micro SD
Totalling 176 dollars.

Hmmm, turns out micro SD storage is actually more expensive than SSD storage.

chink is probably gonna enter a bogus tracking number now so he wont have to cancel the order and then makes me wait 60 days before i can open a dispute about the shit not arriving, ultimately wasting my time and holding my money without any penalty from Aliexpress.

do the chinks actually hope the buyer dies within the 60 days and that the buyer wont be able to open the dispute?

Seems neat in the way that it replicates gun handling more than a bb gun would since you'll have casings ejecting out of the gun but yeah it would be a nightmare to keep collecting those and reloading them. Probably shoots like a limp dick too.

>>
>>84471601
When they offer shit, click reject. That's what I know to be careful about.
If there's no agreement between both ends, at the end, aliexpress will come to a decision. Typically favoring the client, rather than the shop.
The discussion in the issue typically prevents the shop from winning. Just stay formal and avoid bs. If the seller pulls bullshit, that'll be obvious to the person reviewing it.

Again don't bother making proposals. Let the seller make every proposal, and just reject them.
At the end, aliexpress will step in.
>>
>>84471653
>>84471681
To be clear, to a reviewer, every proposal the shop makes (except perhaps full refund) will look like they're trying to rip you off.
And every proposal you make, will look like you are trying to rip the shop off.
Thus, if you don't make proposals, aliexpress is more likely to side with you.

Not specifically a chinkshit question (although ultimately it's all chinkshit isn't it?), but you guys know about small things like this so you're probably the best general to ask.

Who does the best USB sticks these days?
Nothing special, plain and simple 16-32GB sticks, even USB 2.0 is fine, just solid and reliable.
I have some Toshiba USB 2.0 8GB and 16GB ones I bought several years ago, they're the chunky ones with caps, come in white and blue. They've been good. Something reliable like those, except perhaps not so wide/chunky because they're a bit too chunky and I can't put them in side-by-side in some instances. Like on a Raspberry Pi. Also on my laptop it's a tight squeeze with the two ports that are close together.

So in the same way that SanDisk's basic A1 MicroSD cards are the generally recognized reliable entry level standard for MicroSD cards, what's the equivalent for USB thumb drives in nearly-2022?
>>
I'm not sure if this goes against the threads rules, but I'm looking for a drawing tablet (or drawing monitor) that is the best bang for the buck. Doesn't have to be chinkshit, but just looking for something of quality to give as a gift on Christmas.

They're definitely not meant for that, lots of holes for breathability.

The irony here is it will never be murrican if not for one of Toshiba's subsidiary involvement on nuclear plants there.
>due to heavy losses experienced by the bankruptcy of the Westinghouse subsidiary of former parent company Toshiba over nuclear power plant construction at Vogtle Electric Generating Plant in 2016, Toshiba Memory Corporation was spun off from the Toshiba Corporation

Hey anon I was in the same situation. Even ended up looking at mods you can do to those boxes to improve performance and stop the stupid thing from overheating and throttling.

In the end I just got a fucking pi 4 and called it a day as it's a better solution

For hiking try these instead:

>>
>>84479275
It's specifically always fucking China that does that.
Yes, they can produce correct rubber. But no they won't, they will fucking replace it with low quality shit in final version before shipping just to get more money, let the brand die, and start a new one.

If you want to hike and wade through water with dry feet just get some hiking rubber boots. In Sweden Tretorn's Sarek are popular.

I have a yum asia rice cooker and I am happy with it. I vaguely remembered that when I was looking at their site they had exactly what you are asking for, just minus batteries. But honestly you surely can find a place to plug it in at work.
The one I remembered by them is the "bonsai" bento rice cooker. Cooks rice fresh in lower compartment while steaming the top compartment.
Here's the link if you are in the EU:
https://yum-asia.com/eu/product/bonsai-bento-rice-cooker/
The site for the UK has it too, didn't find it on the US site though. But surely there are others that offer similar products.

first-time buyer here. how long does it presently take to get past the "Received by line-haul/Accepted for linehaul transportation" status with the PostNL-delivered packages? have my 11.11 order stuck with this status for ~15 days (Aliexpress Selection Standard shipping, delivery to Poland).

im interested in buying some more chink smartphones, this time eyeing the hisense a5 pro cc, but im not finding the kernel source code available
do you think the seller might be able to help me out? i dont want a phone im not able to update the kernel on

means it left the country or sitting in a warehouse waiting for a flight out. who knows how long it could take for 11.11. I got a few packages at that point too
>>
>>84483550
id actually be quite excited about e-ink if i can find the files to do custom rom development for the device
>>
>>84483867
Well that could perhaps pose for something interesting. Buy generally when you use a phone you want it to be fast I feel. Not like when reading a book.
>>
>>84481409
ask the seller if he can do anything about it, I've received discounts doing this, he will ask you to place the order but not to pay it until he applies the discount, then you can evaluate if it suits you or not and can even cancel the order

How does this work? Don't you pay instantly?
>>
>>84484340
they should be able to send you a coupon thru messages
>>
>>84481409
Because the shipping fee has nothing to do with how much it costs to ship. Its just an extra charge, to stop the use of coupons/benifits & get you to spend more.

Nah taobao has its own forwarder service.
It's like 18cny/kg though so it's only suitable for small items.

I havent been in Ali in like a year but I used to use it a ton. Basically rule #1 is never buy anything you truly need immediately. Rule number 2 is just file a dispute, upload pictures for proof if you can and then ignore anything the seller says and let Ali side with you.
In your case you should have an option to say No to the sellers proposal at which point it will be sent to Ali to judge and they will side with you if you (for instance) upload a picture showing that it was the wrong item sent.
>>
>>84471653
just click reject and wait
take a picture of the item and upload as evidence to improve your chances of winning the dispute
for the next time you can activate the paypal return shipping promo and pay with paypal, they'll cover return shipping up to like 250 SEK in case you want to be 100% sure that you'll get a refund because especially on higher value orders they'll sometimes only do a partial refund or no refund if you don't return the item
