in order to get a crown or veneers, you have to shave down your teeth (the dentist does it with a special drill) and then they use 3d modeling to create a dental crown (a cap) that then they glue very very lazily to the shaved down peg (your tooth) using a bunch of bio materials that act as a glue and which bond to nearby surfaces. The bad news is that most dentists, i.e. 90% of them, are so fucking lazy and moronic that these crowns are placed very badly, and they either fall randomly (especially if you eat anything that requires biting, like, an apple), and leak, and the tooth can get infected and decayed from inside out. Another thing, if you don't bite down properly, your bone becomes weaker, and teeth start falling off, so event those silly fucking pegs are gonna fall off. Thus, requiring you to get implants (expensive) or dentures in 20 years, but it's more like 5 years probably, because of sloppy work.

What's even worse than all that traumatic shit I've just said is that dentists (most of them) have ZERO qualms about fucking your life up like this, ending your teeth and raping your wallet. You know why? Someone's gotta finance their lifestyle. They need donations for that BMW.

This is what they do for crowns.
>>81460007
Maybe you were lucky. My dentist is pretty good, too, but I had 5 losers that tried to ruin my shit, either with abysmally bad fillings, unnecessary work, laziness, etc. I never return after the first or second visit.
It's the same anywhere you go. Useless, lazy work. Some good dentists will give you fillings that last for 20-30 years or more. Others? They give you shit that looks bad from the first day and falls off after a few weeks or months or a year, at the max.

>dentistry pays well enough to turn down retarded teens who want their teeth filed down.
Yeah sure, you're right, but greed knows no bounds. Most doctors (75-90%) are greedy bastards with mental issues and a lack of empathy.

Maybe I sound /x/ but maybe you haven't had as many health issues as I've did. Doctors, especially doctors, are extremely fucked up people. Medicine is amazing but only 10% doctors actually apply it.
