What is your favorite web browser of all time and why?
ugh that's like asking what's your favourite genocide.
trannyfox performance is horrible(ungoogled) chromium ui/ux is horrible brave is crypto botnetvivaldi would be perfect... but its proprietarymodern web is just too bloated. so much so that even the suckless guys gave up on it.
the latest chrome is pretty good
Opera 12.50 beta
Opera and vivaldi are cool but proprietary as said aboveI'm using firefox and duckduckgooseif you love vim shortkeys, you can go for qute browser https://github.com/qutebrowser/qutebrowser
>>81456253But how can I see booba, anon?
I watched so much porn on this thing
I think the new Firefox GUI will be fine. There are millions normies and what not on Windows 7 + Chrome, two weeks or so from there's Debian 11 + Firefox 89 as a replacement and upgrade.Have to choose between Mate, XFCE, LXDE, LXQt, that's the annoying part.
>>81454692Opera and sometimes tor.
>>81456387Ahahaha. Fucking retard.
>>81454692Vivaldi is just too good to not use it. I forced myself to switch to firefox after few months with vivaldi because vivaldi is proprietary, but I feel like a cripple without mouse shortcuts, such incredible customization, this masterpiece card grouping, my own photos in new tab and so on. Wanted to be cool open source user, but now I can't do this. It's just impossible to use any other browser now
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrqnnGjrhIUBrave is what me and my casual friends use
>>81454692Qutebrowser. Uses the same rendering engine as chrome so you keep all the website functionality, built-in adblocker, completely usable from just your keyboard. UI is a lot nicer in my opinion. All web browsers are ultimately shit though
>>81454692really loved Netscape back in the day. I wasn't an MS hater exactly, but I couldn't stand IE. Still love the Netscape name and brand (if that matters). It's a shame it's gone.
>>81457705Netscape became Firefox (ok) that became Firefox 2 (pretty damn good) that became Frefox 3 (oh no) that became modern Firefox (garbage)
>>81457731what now?SeaMonkey and Palemoon devs can't keep up with modern standards (I don't blame them). Is every browser just shit (modern Firefox) and shit (chrome based) now?
>>81457777damn bro. nice quads. I use safari. it's based, but I don't recommend it to anyone unless they use a Mac.
>>81457777Idk what now quadbro, embrace mediocrity? Rise up and break the system?
>>81454692Firefox c. 2009. Rich ecosystem of highly versatile and functional add-ons. The possibilities felt endless.
>>81458418qtwebengine uses Blink retard.
>>81458513and firefox uses gecko, what's your point
>>81458565....Blink was developed specifically for chromium? And is still used by chromium? So it uses the same rendering engine as chromium? Are you mentally ill?
>>81458673Can you even follow your own posts? Christ. Let me do it for you.>>81457686>>81458418>>81458513>I like qutebrowser and it uses the same rendering engine as chromium>other anon: no it uses qtwebengine>qtwebengine uses blink and so does chromium, so they're the same rendering engine.>other anon: So? What's your point? You're either baiting or mentally ill
>>81454692For me, it's Dillo.
>>81454692I don't have one. I use firefox with my own rice because i've been using firefox since version 4. Chromium based browsers are design for cloud computing and software as a service model. I'm old fashioned sooo. Fug dat.
>>81454692I hate all web browsers. Currently using Opera on PC and Yuzu on Android.
>>81454692Chromium because it's fast and I am a web dev who develops for this browser because it is used the most on this planet.
>>81454692Netsurf, because it's written entirely in c and can be easily ported to every platform and obscure operating system.
qutebrowser. minimal interface, totally keyboard driven. i don't care about the rest.
>>81461389>qutebrowser>It's based on Python and PyQt5 Dropped
>>81461346How does its ability to be ported have any relevance to it being your choice of browser
>>81454692>What is your favorite web browserIcecat. >and why?I don't want to use a chromium-based browser in fear of a potential Google monopoly, and i enjoy the pre-installed addons.
>>81454692that dithered netscape icon still makes my dick hard.
>>81455041>firefox performancei haven't noticed anything wrong with it. have you actually used it in the last 3 years?>chromium ui/uxnot that different from firefox and, if we're talking suckless, ui/ux is completely out the window.
>>81454692opera 12 (with opera unite)fuck I miss 2012
>>81454692Firefox 3.0. It was still lightweight while being fully standards compliant. Back before being standards compliant required massive bloat. Also no Google sponsorship or telemetry.
>>81454692I like Mosaic because I think the loading animation is cool
>>81463617using it right now alongside ungoogled-chromium. ugc for surfing and librewolf for sites that need login.
>>81454692KHTML build of Konqueror is actually good on 90% of webshit. Haven't tried WebKit build yet (pain in the ass to build in anyBSD, haven't tried on Solaris yet).I'm also loving Nyxt broswer extensibility (since you know CL, it's pretty straight forward), but is a thing.Sticking with Firefox 89 just because
pokemon 2000 browser
>>81454723glowie you know which one, but I'm not gonna say it
For me, it's the BRAVE BROWSER™. The best internet browser. I even download the BRAVE BROWSER™ on my phone, tablet, laptop, and desktop because the BRAVE BROWSER™ is so user friendly and helps fill my crypto wallets with BAT (Basic Attention Token)One time I asked for 3 ads to be served and they gave me three, WITH the BAT (Basic Attention Token). I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly BRAVE® dev laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!". But the best part is with BAT, it's not even free for me!Now the BRAVE BROWSER™ greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS blocks every ad, cookie, and tracker. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere with my BRAVE BROWSER™, I use it at least 7 times a week for my daily browsing needs which include work, shitposting, school, and stalking my ex on facebook (without the trackers!).What a great BRAVE BROWSER™
>>81454692I would have to say chrome before it was rigged with telemetry, if not kiwi browser or chromium
>>81454723Oh I have a favorite
Firefox 1.5it was when it still looked and acted like a normal/native program - it didn't draw its own shitty tabs and UI elements, instead it used the OS default UI controls. It was small fast and elegant. It wasn't a heap of shit like all the browsers are today
>>81464788No, it never did that. It was good at faking it, and also looked like a Windows 95/2000 program on Unix or Linux. It was very good though but websites had to run on 32MB RAM and dial up then.
>>81456371Wanna see my wife's?(_)(_)
>>81456253Best for gopher. links is even better for web.
>>81455959I've been using Opera for the last few years. Just seems a lot lighter
>>81454692Why? Konqueror of course.
>>81463654Imagine, Opera Unite was able to serve static sites from the browser itself and even had DynDNS, but back then it was all about LAMPWe have Hugo and Jekyll now...
>>81462964Because I want to use plan9
Firefox like 5 years ago was the GOAT
>>81464289by the schizophrenia in your file, i am guessing the jew one
